The Kingdom of Portugal, commonly known as Portugal, is a sovereign country located in the southwest part of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the most recent member nation to join the Phalanx Pact. Like the rest of the Phalanx Pact countries, Portugal is an authoritarian dictatorship under semi-constitutional monarchy. Spain is Portugal's neighbouring country to the north, the east and the northeast. It is also a founding member of the United Nations.

As a member nation of the Phalanx Pact Organisation, Portugal maintained a friendly relation with both Greece and Spain. Like the rest of the Phalanx Pact, Portugal have a frosty relation with NATO from the day it joined the Phalanx Pact to the present day.
