The Battle of the Rokytná River (also known as the Prchala Offensve) was a battle in the opening campaign of World War II during the 1938 German invasion of Czechoslovakia, fought between 5 and 8 October 1938, between Czechoslovak and German forces. Initially a Czechoslovak counter-offensive, the Czechs gained initial success but eventually faltered after a concentrated German counterattack, as the Germans eventually outflanked the Czechoslovak forces and encircled the bulk of the Czechoslovak Army in Bohemia. It was the single largest battle in the 1938 October campaign and took place to the west of Brno.
