The President of New Orange, colloquially known as the President, is the head of government and head of state of the United States of New Orange. The office was established in 1776 upon the end of the War for Independence, with Jan Jay being the first to serve the office. The current President of New Orange is the former mayor of New Amsterdam Alan Keyes
The President of New Orange is democratically elected by the citizens by a majority. If no majority is reached by any candidate, Congress elects the president from the 3 candidates that received the most votes.
