The President of the United States in the Red, White, and Red Timeline was the Head of Government and Head of State of the US. The President also served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, the Head of his political party, Chief Diplomat, and Chief Executive of the United States.
The qualifications for Presidency were to be born in the US, to have lived in the US for at least 14 years, and to be at least 35 years of age. Traditionally, it was also required to be nominated by a political party, but this is not mandatory. Debs'election in 1912 also saw him securing personal endorsements from former Presidents as a way of gaining prestige.
