Revision as of 22:37, 23 February 2014

Principia Moderni, or "The Beginning of the Modern" in Late Latin, was a map game beginning in the final days of the Middle Ages in Europe, and the early days of the Ming Dynasty in China - in 1400 C. E, a turbulent era; in other words, an era of change; an era in which power is cemented. The first game was perhaps the most successful map game on the wiki in terms of length, finishing without dying and plausible expansions. However, it did have its problems, and has now finished. The second game, instead of being a worthy successor to the first, was marred by over-expansionism, feuds between players, ambiguity in the rules, which often caused controversy on wars between player nations, over-competitiveness, and overall inactivity of the moderators, but was nevertheless successful in reaching the Modern Age. And thus, this third installment has been created. Welcome to Principia Moderni III !

And on the first day, the LORD proclaimed that the game would have 50 players. And so 50 players it had. And He said the record shall be broken, and the record was broken.

And on the second day, He said that the game would have 52 players! And 52 players it did have! And He said the record would be broken once more. And so it was broken once more.

And on the third day, He declared that the game would have 58 players. And correct He was once more, for 58 players it did have. Again, He said the record was to be broken, and so it was.

And on the fourth day, He decided that the game would have 60 players! And He was not in the wrong again for 60 players the game did have, and the record of records was to be broken again, and it was as such!

Something about 62 players on the eleventh day.

1420

The Armenian king, Hovhannes II, dies. His eldest son, Smbat, becomes King of Armenia as Smbat IV. Smbat begins answering to the requests left by the Georgians in the last two years, and accepts the offers of a defensive alliance and establishment of trade. Smbat IV makes a counter-proposal to Georgia, offering the hand of his younger sister Alinakh to Alexandre Bagrationi, Giorgi VII of Georgia’s son, in return for marrying a sister of Alexandre, if he has any.

In Australia, the Bidjigal Tribe (of the OTL Sydney region) accepts the superiority of their neighbours; the bow-and-arrow-wielding Tharawal, and accepts their overlordship.

The Quimbaya expand, assimilating the remnants of Catío and San Agustín culture down the Cauca River.

  • Domination of Draka: Stocking up of food continues while construction of new roads continues. Draka turns 20. The military is built up, we work on the economy. Draka continues several new fleets continue consutrction in the Timurid harbors With the recent military victories and political triumph in , the Empire now has influence strong in southern India. Strangely, the Emperor Amjad falls ill, and passes away. He is remembered as great hero, expanding Timurid influence and holding them through the Civil War. Draka, Emperor of the Muhgals, Jangladesh, Kashmir, Ladahk, and Kangra, assumes the throne of the Timurid Empire, and incoroporates his six thrones into one nation, the Domination of Draka, or the Domination for short. Indian culture begins to grow, influencing a large chunk of state affairs, this causes resistance in both Persia and Central Asia, when Draka moves the capitol to the central region of Multan, deep within the Indian lands. Indians in the land begin to immigrate to southern Persia and Afganistan, and the regions begin to grow more and more Indian. Several groups begin to petition the Emperor, asking for some autonomy, and after some discussion with his advisors, he orders the creation of the state of Iran and Gilan in the west, having a small port and coast in the Arabian Gulf, while still taking over a large chunk of land, about one-third of Persia, namely the western and northern parts with a small strip to give it a coast.  We offer alliances to Bahamani and Andrha, promising them non-aggression pacts. Will add more later.
    • Emirate of Venad: The Emir continues to build roads around the country, as well as military installations and new forts across the land. Food continues being stocked up. Work is made on the economy. People begin to convert to Islam.
    • Sultanate of Northern Vijaynagar: The Emir asks the Emperor Draka to allow the merger of both Vijaynagar and allow reunion.
    • Sultanate of Southern Vijaynagar: The Emir asks the Emperor Draka to allow the merger of both Vijaynagar and allow reunion.
      • Draka Diplomacy: The Domination considers the proposal, and agrees that there is no historical backing for the divide. On December 1st, the two nations will be reunited.
    • Kingdom of North Iraq: The military is built up, while public works continue throughout the country. Stocking up of food continues.
    • Emirate of Jaffna: The Emir continues to build roads around the country, as well as military installations and new forts across the land. Food continues being stocked up. Work is made on the economy. Construction begins of a navy. People begin to convert to Islam.
    • Kingdom of Iran: With newfound independance, we happily sign trade deals and alliances with the Domination of Draka and work on our economy.
    • Kingdom of Gilan: With newfound independance, we happily sign trade deals and alliances with the Domination of Draka and work on our economy.
  • I never had Jaffna completely so now you are just grabbing land. Jbwncster (talk) 01:31, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
  • You acted as though you had it when you were "negotiating." Not to mention you are not in India anymore. It is none of your business. Reximus | Talk to Me! 01:59, February21, 2014 (UTC)
  • Guys, this stops now. Rex, this doesn't concern you. Sims, no more harassment. Jb, lay off and stop making yourself a target by continuing to talk about it and post under all his posts about it.
  • I didn't say anything -Nova
  • Otago Maori: We continue to increase the size of our tribe. Many other tribes have come to become our vassals or allies. We also decide to build a trading port around the South of New Zealand. However, the flimsy wooden structure was quickly swept away by a big wave.
  • The Crusader-Kingdom of Cyprus works more on the military and navy, a new local branch of the Knights Hospliter is formed being named the Knights Hospliter-Cyprus. Increased relations with Malmuks continue with more Christians being sent to the Holy Land. A request is sent to the Malmuks to buy Tel Aviv in exchange for help putting down the rebels. Cyprus continue politics with King Janus rising in popularity among the native Greeks as a new noble position reserved for a Greek is made called Prince-Magistrate of Nicosia. The Catholic population grows with the Cyprus Orthodox church also growing. (Note: People are going away from Islam, Greek Orthodoxy, etc.). Influence of Achaia begins (four turns left). The French and Italian population grows around the OTL İskele District, which is becoming home to more and more Western European population. The Western Europeans come with peasants, nobles and merchants alike hoping to build a better life on a emerging nation.
  • Novgorod:We continue the production of Koch boats, cannons, hand cannons, advanced crossbows, swords, and composite bows, increasing our military capabilities in case of war. The nation’s training and advancement of military continues. We are producing our new crossbow, and we send the first 50 crossbows to Mecklenburg to test out and the other 250 to test in our nation. We expand north (by 10 pixels) into undiscovered land. The recent classes of Koch ships are being manufactured in Novgorod. The town of St Patriksburg’s population grows a bit more that last year. As the construction of the town improves, the kremlin finishes, trade becoming more in demand, the town gains slightly. Because of the trade road built with Tver our economy increases. We are still talking about the possible unification of the Rus’ with Muscovy. The Russian language is spreading throughout the nation. After seeing a great success with the private schools in the City of Novgorod, St Patriksburg, Staraya Russa, and Nizhny Novgorod. We start building a private school in Rostov. We will soon build private schools in Torzhok and Staraya Ladoga in the near future. We start vassalissing Yaroslavl (two turns to vassalize). We ask Denmark for an alliance against our rival Sweden. (Mod response please).
    • Rostov: We start the construction of the private school in Rostov. We upgrade our military after being a vassal of Novgorod. We upgrade our economy because of the trade established between Tver, Muscovy and Novgorod.
  • Grand Duchy of Moscow: We have vassalized the nation of Ustyug. Military development continues. We ask the nations of Prussia and Novgorod to allow the nation of Wallachia and her vassals to join the Eastern League if they want at any time. Trade routes through our vassal of Ukraine bring in many merchants and travelers to settle in the Rus’ for exclusive eastern goods. Large population growth begins, due to the arrival of merchants and other foreigners. New weapons are forged and created for the military, one of these new weapons are the bardiche, a long poleaxe style weapon that will be used by the common soldier, another new piece of military hardware is the Gulyay-gorod, a mobilized fortification composed of wood. Although much of these newly created items are primarily military based, a new commercial masonry stove has been popular in use among the Russian people. By channeling smoke and hot air through small passageways, the oven is able to retain heat for a long period of time. The University of Moscow continues to be constructed. Plans to expand Moscow begin, with excavating the Earth surrounding the Moscow Kremlin and the current state of the city in order to build a moat, which will connect with the Volga. The time of this excavation will take two decades and will require thousands which will be paid to dig up the land.
    • Novgorod Diplomacy: We allow the Wallachia to join the eastern league, and we are still awaiting a response from Prussia.
    • Prussian Diplomacy: The Prussians also agree to let the Wallachians join the Eastern League.
    • Wallachian Diplomacy: We would request more information on the nature of the Eastern League.
    • Muscovite Diplomacy: The Eastern League is a military alliance organization for the purpose of defending each other's heartlands and interests (Similar to OTL NATO).
  • Hamburg-Brunswick-Lüneburg: William begins his rebuilding programs in Brunswick-Lüneburg. In economic news, the HTSC sees an increase in profits as larger and more ships take to the trade routes. But the hostilities in the waters of the former UNC make accessing the Baltic markets difficult, and a request is sent to the Scandinavian nations to hold their fire on Hamburg ships. With Naples declaring support for Pieromo, Hamburg send more support for Venice. In total, fifteen warships are sent.
    • UNC Diplomacy: Our ships will be sure to check their targets.
    • Venetian Diplomacy: Michiel Roscol thanks Hamburg for its support.
  • Roman Empire: The Empire continues to officially position itself as a neutral party in the Venetian Civil War, but is outraged when it hears that its potensa in Athens has been placed under house arrest. The Empire angrily demands that he be freed and Anti-Doge forces leave Beoetia immediatly. On the other side of the Empire, the Emperor agrees to the alliance with the Georgians, but is unfortunately forced to deny the request for Greek Fire, since the Empire itself is only beginning to relearn how to use it. With this new alliance on the eastern frontier secured, Trebizond finally is satisfied enough to be annexed as the Despotate of Pontus. Manuel III of Trebizond keeps his power and titles. This unification is celebrated throughout the Empire, as now the Roman Schism that has perpetuated the nation ever since the Fourth Crusade in 1204 has been concluded. The Empire now turns its gaze towards the last bitter remnant of the imposter Latin Roman Empire, Achaea, in order to close that disgraceful chapter of the Empire's long history. Nothing is done of yet except for some small defense renovations around Sparta, Corinth, and Thebes. The Emperor also decides to ease the governing of mainland Greece by splitting the Despotate of Morea in two, with Morea remaining in the south and Arcadia in the north. The Roman garrison and fleet stationed at Famagusta are enlargened. The naval shipyards at Sinope produce fifty ships this year to help patrol the Aegean and keep the general peace between the Venetian factions when possible.
    • Theodoro: The training of levies continues. I am assuming this is how this works ... An army is raised by Stephen of Theodoro and marches on the Genoese rebels in Kaffa, and with the sallying Venetians manages to by and large defeat them. A few rebel pockets remain and will need to be hunted down.Until the conclusion of the civil war, Stephen declares himself the "Protector of the Crimea" and the de facto lord of the Venetian cities there in order to protect their neutrality, but largely leaves them to do their own devices.
  • Knights of St John: Continue to expand their military to vast amounts. They start to use gunpowder hand cannons, but quickly get rid of it as the crossbowmen of the Order are some of the best archers in Anatolia. More numbers are sent to Famagusta in Cyprus doubling the previous army totaling 13,000 knights. More trade ships are built to increase an in take of money, boosting their economy. Andrea Orsi is appointed to Head Marintime Overseer, and is asked to reside in Ferrara to create a permanent bond with the Kingdom of Naples. More knights are sent to aid Venice in the civil war taking the side of the Doge once again. The island of Rhodes celebrates the new alliance of Castile and the Order.
    • Tekke (Vassal of Knights of St John): The naval base of Valetta is finally finished as all hands were used to finish building it. The tributes from Ferrara are small now, but the bulk on money was well spent as the base is being fitted with heavy cannon to defend from ships and siege attacks. The base is heavily fortified with knights. The governor of Tekke: Francesco Girabaldi is sent to the base in Malta, as the Heir Grandmaster (Rodrigo Torez) is sent to take control of Tekke. Ships are built, although not many. The new recruits have started training with surprisingly low number of turn outs, due to the population only being 50% christian. More missionary attempts are tried as Tekke tries to become mainly christian.
    • Knights of St John diplomacy: The order asks the Kingdom of Naples to send troops to Famagusta. Venice is asked to bring ships over to the naval base of Valetta at Tekke, and ships to Famagusta at Cyprus. Trade rights are requested from the Kingdom of Georgia.
    • Venetian Diplomacy: The Duchy of Naxos sends a small fleet in place for the Doge while the main of the fleet in distracted in the civil war.
  • Chiribaya: We stop training soldiers for now and we expand 5 km southeast
  • UNC: The Swedes invade the Danish capital of Copenhagen. The battle goes in favor of the Swedes; the Danes surrender and their king is recognized as illegitimate. The Swedish King, King Sverker III, becomes the sole ruler of the UNC, thus initiating the Restored House of Sverker. The Four Year's War ends. Reconstruction in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark begins. A new era of the UNC begins; an area dominated by the Swedes. The capital of the UNC is moved to Stockholm. With peace and order restored to the UNC, work on rebuilding the infrastructure and economy begins. The Swedish-controlled UNC requests to reaffirm all deals, treaties and alliances that had been made during the Era of the Danes. Furthermore, the UNC would like to improve its relations with Prussia as well as all Russian nations. New trade routes are proposed with the respective nations. The proposals from Munster are finally accepted.
  • You need to do an algorithm for this.
  • No, in fact, I don't. It's my nation's civil war. Enough with this crap, Ms.
  • I just thought you did because all three nations declared their independence and had separate governments, which are at war with eachother. There were actually all listed as independent nations long before you even signed up as them.
  • Korea (vassal, Pita): A populist movement sweeps through the nation as civilian militias rise up against the leadership, killing several minor government officials. Most of those movements are crushed immediately and with indiscriminate justice. An assassination attempt against Emperor Taejong is narrowly halted by palace guards. Later, it is revealed that several high-ranking generals and officials were involved in the movements, leading to the First Purge of 1420. Over 75 members of the military and government are killed, and over 100 are exiled. Korea asks for more autonomy from China to deal with the internal threat. The campaign against the Japanese pirates continues, with several key pirate outposts in the Korean Strait captured and destroyed.
  • Tibet: The Gongma (the high one, superior in Tibetan) Drakpa Gyaltsen is still in mourning after his cousin Sonam Drakpa died in 1408 and begins to centralize the rule of Tibet in Lhasa and demands all the territorial leaders of Tibet to move their rule to Lhasa.  The Gongma wishes to try to better relations with the Chagatai Khanate (Mod response) and The Yuan Dynasty in The Oirats (Oirat Response) by allowing them use of the silk road in the north, for which they would become an ally (military or trade is up to them). The Gelukpa university monastery of Sera has it's first monks after being built and set up last year in Lhasa. The Gongma imposes a trade tax of 0.5% of everything brought into Tibet from The Timurids via the silk road. The Gongma encourages agriculture and commerce. Tibet begins to influence Nepal and also expands 200 sq mi into the disordered Nepal.
    • Mod Response: The Chagtai Khanate and the Yuan Dynasty both agree to a trade agreement with Tibet, giving them greater access to the silk road and their own markets.
  • Ottoman Empire: The Sultan begins to fall ill. To withstand his legacy for future generations of Sultans, the Sultan puts his foot down to the Kingdom of Mesopotamia and declares war on the Kingdom for control of the Black Sheeps. Troops are sent through the other Ottoman vassals, Dulkadir and Erzincan. The military and navy are improved in preparation for a larger-scale war. Meanwhile, after some confusion with the delegates for the Turko-Venetian-Roman treaty, the Ottomans decide to wait until the Venetians decide on one delegate. (More may come).
  • Navajo: The meeting concludes and Chief Tooh returns peacefully to power and centralization continues. At the meeting it has been decided that it is our job to unite the surrounding nations through our dominence of iron, and because of this we begin to influence the Pueblo through continued trade. We also restart military build up and reform the army to make the "Iron Army." With this new Iron Army we hope that wars will be short and quick, shedding the least amount of innocent blood possible and to restore peace to this chaotic and confused region.
    • Kim: Centralization contiues and (if the vassal can take the expansion instead of the Navajo itself then they expand but if they can't, they will continue building up the military.) The Kimite Academy is complete, and many scholars come and discuss ideas about the world. Most of the discussions are regarding the Colorado River, how the river flows and how trade and ideas also flow, and how life tends to teem whenever it is near a river. This fascination with the Colorado River peaks the interest of many and numerous people come to observe, talk, and even worship the Colorado River. As a result of this, we collect toll fees and we save the money up for a rainy day.
  • Prussia: The Prussians begin efforts to vassalize Pomerania. The Prussians continue efforts to annex their vassal of Riga. The Prussians continue developing their economy to recover from the Polish War. The Prussians continue to rebuild their military from the Polish War. The Prussians continue construction on the grand capital city of Marienburg. The Prussians continue work on the next stage of the Prussian Parliament. The main port at Danzig continues to grow as the money flowing in from the Crown Merchants makes the city a very profitable trade node.
  • Masovia: The Kingdom of Masovia also continues recovering their economy, and continues building a new national army. The Masovians continue construction of their capital at Czersk.
  • Riga: The Archbishopric of Riga continue building their economy and continues building of the new national army.
  • Grand Duchy of Bavaria: Landshut expands its military. Heinrich XVI begins petitioning the lords of Nurnburg and Burgau for manpower and tribute. In other news, the population continues to rise. Heinrich and his council continue to allow the training of new troops. Several markets are constructed in Landshut as well as trade houses for Austrian and Castilian traders. In Austria, several new ships begin being constructed, with three large carracks being finished, and by 1420 a trade route is put in place. Such important places in the trade route include Rome, Athens, Constantinople, and Gibralter. Within a decade, Heinrich hopes to extend the routes to the north of Europe. The planned market center in Landshut continues to be developed. Heinrich XVI allocates power to his councillors in figuring out a new church or any new Western church to join. In dynastic newsHeinrich XVI sends letters to the various lords of Pfalz (with whom Bavaria is linked via dynastic union), offering them assistance in setting up a government. In return, they would accept Heinrich as their true lord under a personal union. Can a mod respond to this, maybe in the next mod events?
      • Munchen: The main campus of Queen Isabell University is completed, and the beginning courses include French, Latin, English, and Greek as well as theology, clergy training, and mathematics being taught. Troops authorized by Heinrich XVI continue training. Several markets are constructed in Munchen as well as trade houses for Castilian and Austrian traders.
      • Straubing: Troops authorized by Heinrich XVI continue training. Several markets are constructed in Straubing as well as trade houses for Castilian and Austrian traders.
      • Ingolstadt: Troops authorized by Heinrich XVI continue training. Several markets are constructed in Ingolstadt as well as trade houses for Castilian and Austrian traders.
  • Portugal continues a notable buildup in military strength and allows for a vigorous training program on the existing military forces attempting to train them up heavily. Meanwhile, the administration continues to be reformed, and agriculture and commerce are encouraged. Meanwhile, Portugal continues to develop its navy. Meanwhile, Portuguese traders continue visiting the Castillian settlements in the Canaries. Meanwhile, the newly-founded colony of Leiname expands by 200 sq km. In order to gain the minimum conditions for the development of agriculture, the settlers continue to take down parts of the dense forest that covers the island.construction of canals also continues, due to the fact that in some parts of the island, there is excess water, and in other, scarcity of water.
  • Brabant-Hainaut-Holland: The aric=val of the chinese shocks greatly the lowlands as a whole, and the faith in the Catholic beliefs is further shackened by this as it shows that a non catholic culture is capable of such achievements. The Dutch traders move to try and meet with the oriental wonders and bring with them several Arquebus along with pieces of art work to exchange for blue prints of Chinese ships and any other sort of thing they could get from the east. The great eastern voyage also sparks the imagination of Dutch explorers to try and reach the orient to copy the chinese success, though this idea is looked upon with interest by the General Estates it is deemed to early for such a voyage due to the situation in the HRE and the need to secure things at home before moving abroad. Economic growth continues as trade and banking expand. We once more request that the Wallonian states within the Netherlands join the Alliance system being created there to better protect the indepedence and economic development of the lowlands, (it shouldnt be that difficult since most of the wallonian states are to small to resist and would be looking for protection, ive been trying to get this for five turns and it is completely ignored by the majority of the mods.) Meanwhile influencing over Utrect and and liege begin. The ideas of Johann continue to circle around the General Estates and cross over into the other Nations of the Netherlads and into the German HRE as the strange ideas continue to bring up controversy and conflicting ideas in academic circles. Johann is forced to flee his place of residency as the local priests expel him, he takes up residence with a noble in the Hague. Despite these setbacks he begins to gain supporters within the Brabant and Holland and those who demand reform in the church from the very core. Naval expansion continues.
  • Venetian Republic:
    Venetian Civil War 1420 PM3

The current situation, all blue territories should be considered to be in a crisis, with the events of this turn, they have to find a new direction or fold

In Veneto the nobles of Venice march to meet Pieromos army. Upon hearing of Naples declaration of support for Pieromo, the Doge is outraged. Seeing that they are moving to take Corfu he meets with the merchants of Venice and asks them to assist Corfu. Giovanni marches to retake Treviso, and meets the nobles of Venice there fighting in the 2nd Battle of Treviso. The battle is long and bloody but Pieromo's mercenary force is overwhelmed and crushed, amongst the bodies Giovanni is found with an arrow in his skull.
In Attica the nobles of Attica without the pressing from the Naxians manage to raise a small force and now, marching with those who were their enemies a few months ago, head towards Athens with the Naxian forces.
In the Epirus Free Ports Titani continues to lock down, fearing that they will be next if Corfu falls. Meanwhile Preveza allows Christofo to take a large segment of their guard to augment his forces numbers.
In Candia the nobles of Candia rule through the captured King, and retake all of Candia defeating the last loyal nobles. The forces of Candia prepare a force to go north but delay upon hearing of the death of Giovanni, considering their next move.
In the Peloponnese The nobles of the Peloponnese send what forces they can to support Teodor in Athens after hearing he is under siege. Mil-turn
    • Aegina: The Rettore Frederico Doro is freed and given control over Aegina again, but only after swearing loyalty to the new Duke of Naxos. Hearing that his son is held in Athens by Teodor da Vale and fearing for his life he takes what men he can and heads north to the city with his Naxian allies. Mil-turn
    • Athens: Teodor da Vale fortifies the city of Athens, not knowing what to do upon hearing of Giovanni's death. Mil-turn
    • Corfu: The merchants send some of their fleets south having reequipped them for war. With the Napolitans invading, the Corfiots refuse to allow them to retake the island and meet the huge Napolitan force on the coast. The merchants forces arrive in time to land support and a massive battle occurs. The Battle of the Ionian Sea as it is known, involves both a massive sea combat as well as a huge land battle with Corfiots and mercenaries facing off against the Napolitan army. The battle lasts for days, becoming one of many skirmishes and engagements, but finally ending in a decisive victory for the Corfiots and merchant forces. The Nepolitans are forced off of the main island of Corfu but take up residence on the nearby Othonoi island, ready for another landing. Mil-turn
    • Epirus: Christofo heads out from Preveza, marching on the last lands held by the southern nobles, he splits his forces. He heads out with the western army, knowing he may be needed to repel a force from the sea soon. He meets the bulk of the Pieromo host south of Titani and makes battle with them crushing their last forces, it is called the Battle of Titani despite not even including forces from the city or being near to it. With the final resistance crushed, the eastern army stablises the other lands once held by Pieromos supporters. Mil-turn
    • Kaffa: With the support from Theodoro breaking the siege, the rebels are forced back but not crushed. With Stephens declaration Victor is outraged but keeps his outrage inside instead taking some Venetian and Theodore troops to defeat the rebels. They meet and crush their forces in the Battle of Kaffa however the Genoan leader escapes, fleeing on a ship through the black sea, aiming to sail to Genoa and gain support. Mil-turn
    • Naxos: To the suprise of the Venetian supporters all nobles declare support for the new Duke, some delaying more than others. The Knights of Saint John remain on guard, worried that it is a ploy. To test their loyalty the seizure of Athens is ordered and the various fleets and nobles head to the city to take it. With allies from Attica and Aegina arriving to support them the 3rd Battle of Athens occurs and quickly they break into the city and capture it killing Teodor in the attack. They free the Roman Poténsa and restore him while Frederico Doro is given the position of Venetian Poténsa for his part in the seige. Mil-turn
    • Negroponte: The Gastàldo of Negroponte raises a city levy and assigns a captian to the force, he sends them to capture the King of Negroponte and bring him safely back to the capital. The King of Negroponte meets the Gastàldo's army and refuses the request, giving battle. The Battle of Thebes ends with a victory for the King of Negroponte, who continues marching on the capital. Mil-turn
  • County of Oldenburg: The county continues vassalisation of Osnabruck (year three). Fear of encountering God's fleet in southern waters forces the OHG to alter its business model. This year, a reduced fleet saisl the North Sea, trading with the UNC and Albion. A sizeable portion of the company's resources this year go into land and river-based trade with inland Germanic naitons. Princess Branca gives birth to another girl who is named Sigelinde.
  • Japan (Ashikaga Clan): We fix up our roads and add outposts in different areas just in case to watch out for enemies. We build up our military and navy. Six more ships are being built. The building of the first college of Japan is continuing to be built up. The Shogun goes into hidding to not get attack during this dumb war. The militry is called off and is told to not attack anything unless someone attacks us first. At age of 18 the Shogun's son Matsuoka joins the army as a drill sergeant. Trade is going well with the Hosokawa Clan. The Emperor tells everyone to stop this silly war or he will send troops to force people to sign a peace tready to unify the country.
  • Where do I begin? It would be illogical for a nation to spend its resources on a college if civil war has started. It's even more illogical to call off the military. And this is the most important one, you are the de facto leader, but you can't controll the Emperor himself, especially since the Emperor doesn't have a an army since it should probably be made out of the armies of Clans which follow the Emperor and I as the Kampaku am closer to the Emperor than the shogun. Also my clan wouldn't trade with you for obvious reasons, so I'd like that part crossed out no matter what. I'd also mention that calling a war caused by you silly and dumb is just weird. -Sky
  • One the Emperor has his own special troops. Two lets end this stupid civil war. Three I want peace so, lets end this civil war bull shit. - Shadow
  • First of all, I suggest you stop using harsh language on this page. Furthermore, you cannot controll the Emperor and you can't give him troops that will magically switch their loyalty from you to him. Last but not least, if you had wanted peace, you should have not attacked three different daimyos since the beginning of the game, some of which you attacked more than once. P.S. I ask for a mod's help.-Sky
  • I've crossed out a few parts. Shadow keep in mind that you are still at war (since you're the one who caused it), and you should probably write about fighting that, not threatening to start fighting an already ongoing war. - Mscoree
  • ok seriously shadow you do not control the emperor. the emperor had no troops what so ever, he had no power, he was merely a figure head though his preferences in rulers could sway things in one persons favor or the other, and as things are id say that it is in the favor of the Hosakawa who have not been expanding and destabalizing the shogunate through expansion, you brought war upon yourself and you now have to face the consequence. Nkbeeching (talk) 22:35, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
  • Munster: As the war with Thomond comes to an end, with little decided, we decide to ramp up our military, seeing that they were incapable of taking much territory in the war. As rumors of a vast "Dragon Fleet" from Hell reach Munster, many traders abandon southern routes to the Mediterranean, and instead head into the Baltic, or Northern Europe. A few brave souls make it to Iceland, where trade continues with the Irish settlement. Though life is hard in Iceland, and the settlement consists of a very small amount of people, agriculture and fishing are successful, at least for the time being. We ask to open diplomatic relations with the UNC. Munster is almost fully "roaded", with roads reaching cities such as Waterford. Due to the rumors, we get our navy ready for conflict, although some doubt that the efforts will be worth it, and many war cogs and war junks are readied for war with crossbows and marines aboard. Following England's efforts to reconcile with the Roman Catholic Church, we are of mixed opinion, as in the past, some problems have arisen, but we, for now, stay loyal to the Western Church, and a local religious center is founded at Tipperary. Farming reforms continue to be instated, with many dairy cattle thriving on the southern plains of Munster. Whiskey continues to rise in popularity, along with Munsterian beer, and it is a popular export. We agree with Ulster's proposal to split Ireland, however, we would like a small strip of coastal Mayo, citing ancient ties to the region. We continue to absorb clans in southern coastal Mayo. OOC: I may not post tomorrow. Bow To Your Sensei. BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!!!
  • Ulster: Many Ulsterian traders begin to fear the Fleet's approach, abandoning Mediterranean Trade in droves. Banditry along the new Road Network causes the establishment of a Police Force, and reforms to try to prevent the number of serfs that flee into the Forests, and become bandits. A Bombardment Officer, in charge of Ballistae, suggests that Ballistae are mounted on ships. Ulsterian Traders begin to flood the Markets of Breifne and Sligo with Ulsterian Goods, steadily stifling Local industry and increasing their dependence on Ulster, whilst Diplomats are sent to the rulers of these two states, requesting they join Ulster.
  • Question - if I am starting out as a nation that is currently labeled in dark grey on the map, do I auotmatically gain its grayed-out territory when I first post, or do I have to conquer it? RevenantAscension (talk) 18:04, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
  • You get part of the land but you need to expand onto the rest which is fairly easy. SkyGreen24 (talk) 20:02, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
  • The Kingdom of England (Member state of the Kingdoms of Greater Albion)- English military and navy are expanded with many new war cogs being added to the English Fleets. English shipping grows as the merchant navy is finally free of pirates and other issues. The Crown Trading Company begins to trade heavily in the North Sea region and in France. England's coffers continue to grow with the trade from Venezia and Castille being huge factors. The United Kingdoms of Greater Albion continue to grow with the entirety of the Eire members. The Merchant Navy is expanded and now rivals great nations like Castille and Venice. England hopes to unseat the Hanseatic League and become the most powerful trading monopoly in Northern Europe. The World Exploration Council is founded by the King in hopes of finding new lands and routes to Asia (though currently it only exists on paper.) The Canterbury Tales becomes a popular and exemplary writing, despite never being a huge success when Chaucer was alive. King Edward IV continues to push for English to be used as the primary language at the court. Scotland continues to assimilate into the UKGA. The Venetian Doge is supported. Prince Edmund of York desires to marry a young noblewoman from Sweden to strengthen ties between the United Kingdoms and the Swedish lead UNC. Trade in the North Sea starts to become more and more dominated by the English Merchant Marine. The large English Navy begins patroling the English channel upon hearing of a mysterious fleet coming from lands unknown. The Bank of England offers to invest in Hamburg and to expand port functionalities in the city. The Crown Trading Company stops in the city of Danzig and requests permission to trade in Danzig and Prussia as a whole.
    • Dublin: The port is expanded. Crown Trading establishes its Irish headquarters. Military is upgraded as well as the navy. The Royal Bank of England establishes its Eire HQ.
    • Wales: The Welsh military and navy are expanded. The Royal Bank of England establishes its Welsh HQ.
  • Mecklenburg:We continue to upgrade our military power and training longbowmen, Spies. We utilize the crossbows given by Novgorod to make our troops very highly trained marksmen. We also continue the production and upgrading of canons and handcannons. We continue the production of swords, crossbows, and composite bows. We also have started fortifying the port cities, Rerik-Zweedorf and Wismar. We hope that in 6 years there will be great improvement of these two cities and if these two cities turn out well we will start to make all port cities into fortified landmarks. We utilize the crossbows given by Novgorod to make our troops very highly trained marksmen. Also, We increase the trade with other nations and the amount of farmland in our nation.
  • Kingdo of Cuzco: We expand southward until we hit the coast. Military and infrastructure improve.
  • Hesse: After another year of fighting, we advance and take 4.5% more of the land. It is a bitter power struggle between the armies with Hesse looking to be winning. Ludwig I offers to marry one of Oldenburg's noble ladies. We offer to buy 2,000 of these new 'crossbow's and 1,000 of the new 'handcannons' to anyone willing. The training of the 2nd Regiments are complete and the first divisions are formed. The rest of the army is sent into Brunswick-Gottingen. Ludwigsburg continues to grow. Military development continues.
  • The Jochid Ulus continue to develop and grow. In the far north, the Yamal territories expand in the northwestern edge of the nation by approximately 5000 square kilometres, creating many villagers for Nenets to settle and expand in. The first Nenets towns begin to increasingly grow, as settled-down animal husbandry continues to work for them. This causes extreme expansion in the economy of the Yamal, as it joins the period of economic boom and improvement that has characterised the Ulus in the last few years. This boom continues throughout the Ulus, as the Ruthenian territories produce large amounts of agricultural produce, as do the Volga and Kama river valleys and Kazakhstan. The growth of the lumber and metals industry in the Urals begins. The cultural growth of the nation also continues, as the Mastorava is expanded upon and begins to be preached in the streets of Obran-Osh and Bolghar. This Mastorava begins to establish a somewhat syncretic Pagan faith, but a deeply established one; there's several theologic ideas (including their own version of monotheism, which would lead to the belief of polyprosopy, or "one God, many faces") and a few basic developing mythos that are reached by consensus between several tribes and burghers across the Volga. More Ulus collapse to feudal government, leaving nomadic tribes only in Kazakhstan and eastern Siberia. This drastically changes the composition of the kurultay as it meets to discuss the Khan, given that it's been a long time and the Ulus still has no official Khan. However, the world is shocked as young Temür-Hachiun, aged fifteen, presents his claim to the throne. The Kurultay is deeply divided; almost unanimously, the Ulus oppose his choice, while burghers and nobles support it. The vote barely passes through, but eventually he is elected, given that the other two choices are having Ïdegay Jochid turn 16 in almost ten more years or choose a foreign khan. At the end of the meeting, a coronation is scheduled for next year, and all nobles of the nation are invited to come. However, sad news hit the palace later that same year; Ïdegay Manghud died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 68, not to see his grandson take the throne. More hand gonnes are given to high-ranking soldiers in infantry armies. The government of the Golden Horde, pressured by Temür-Hachiun, agrees to invite the Russian princes to the coronation, as well as people from the Ottoman and UNC crowns; this seems to be Temür-Hachiun's first policy, one of normalisation of relations towards the Russian states.
    • the Principality of Great Perm continues to develop its military and economy. Muhammad-Zakov is poisoned late in the year, and a Christian, Pitrim, takes control. In order not to anger the dominance of the Golden Horde, he allows Muslim religious customs to continue, but he begins building churches and Christian monuments in order to counterbalance Muslim-led governments from before. The Permic economy grows as Kolvakvar also does. Komi merchants begin crossing into Novgorod and the Golden Horde, trading with both nations. They also secretly smuggle Komi education into Novgorodian schools near the border.
    • the Principality of Adyghea grows by 2500 square kilometres throughout Circassia. Adyghe, Kabardian, Ubykh and Abkhaz chieftains all swear loyalty to the Ayghe royal family. Maykop continues to grow quickly, causing the economy to also grow. Fortresses in the Caucasus begin to be built, and some formerly tribal Adyghe begin to move to these plazas, causing new cities to form. The Duchy begins to develop its army, given secret support by the Golden Horde as the Georgians have admitted hostility towards Adyghea.
    • Muscovite Diplomacy: The Grand Duke of Moscow, Vasily I, will arrive to the coronation.
  • Kingdom of Georgia: The Kingdom of Georgia gladly accepts the Armenian proposal, and celebrations are promptly held in T'bliisi to celebrate the marriage of Prince Alexandre and Princess Alinakh. When King Giorgi's wife, Tamar of Imereti gives birth to a daughter, a second set of celebrations are planned - and canceled just as quickly when the child dies of illness within two months of her birth. Georgia also accepts the Knights of St John's trade request; as the nation's naval trade now comprises a significant portion of its revenue, King Giorgi commissions a fleet of some thirty galleys to escort merchants in the Black Sea, expanding the Georgian military. The ongoing construction of the Bolnisi Sioni mirrors the growing influence of the Georgian Church, which requests a response from its Armenian counterpart regarding its proposal at the Council of Batumi. (Mod response needed!)
    • Georgian Diplomacy: Georgia sends a trade request to Wallachia, in hopes of expanding its access to friendly grain suppliers. Georgia also offers supplies to the rightful Doge of Venice, Michiel Roscol, in exchange for military aid to be provided at a later date. Finally, the Georgian King sends an emissary to the new Khan of the Jochid Ulus: if the new Khan is willing to make peace with Georgia's Orthodox brethren, the Kingdom is willing to discuss a non-aggression pact with the Horde, and the division of the trans-Caucasian region.
    • Venetian Diplomacy: Looking for allies to defend against both the feared power of Candia and Naples, the Doge agrees to the offer and thanks the Georgians for their support.
    • Jochid Diplomacy: Temür-Hachiun, having grown with several Orthodox burghers' children, and thus friendlier to Orthodoxy than his predecessors, the Khan agrees to make peace and arrange further negotiation.
  • Khmer Empire: After centuries of unrest and chaos, a new king is crowned. The king, Dara I, gains hegemony over the region surrounding the ancient and now-dilapidated capital of Angkor. Workmen begin to restore Angkor to its former glory, although this will take some time. Dara also offers strong economic incentives for local leaders who swear oaths of fealty to him, with paritcular emphasis on those southwest of Angkor, as gaining their territory will grant the Khmer Empire access to the sea. An army of 2000 men is formed and armed with bamboo spears and other light weapons, as well as a 50-man Royal Guard in order to protect the King.
  • Castile: With the developing situation in Italy King Henry begins to gear up for war with his forces being geared up. The Nobility as well as the Royal army are called up with a large force of nearly 20,000 being called up. The Castilian economy begins to shift toward developing and building weaponry and warships with large cannon-bearing ships being shifted toward the Mediterranean. The Castilian economy while being war oriented begins a larger process of pulling in more money through trade. The Castilians begin to send missionaries into Morocco in hopes to conver populations. The infrastructure of Castile is also expanded more. Castile, in order to facilitate more conversions to Christianity, imposes higher taxes on non-Christians in the areas it controls personally or by proxy through its vassals. Castile begins allocating wealth to hire major explorers for map and explore the coast of africa. The developing class in castile of skilled artisan, merchants, blacksmiths and the like has led to a large increase in productivity of the country with even a few researches managing to work on new designs including a more efficient handcannon which gets its own dedicated corps in the developing Royal army of castile. The Castilian noblity begins to adapt towards a newer system to revamp or work on their power as they move towards becomming advisors to the king and less involved in their feudal estates which while growing have developed Guilds to facilitate payments for the efforts of the men working, The expert worksmanship of many of these men has seen notable increase in productivity for each feudal state with most lord not complaining. Prince John of Castile now 15 continuing with his education makes some more notable appearances as he looks to urge his father into retirement when he reaches 20 or to begin to rule alongside his father. He also makes a notebook giving a large overview of the kingdom as a whole in order to better manage it getting preists and dedicated writers to help with this. The Kingdoms cities begin to be improved with somewhat better sanitation and the King hires architects to plan out a Sewer system, as well as a true plan for multiple major cities. The King begins to development of a few new ship designs hiring ship designers from the whole of europe to begin the process of designing a larger ship for battle.
    • Granada:  The Christianization of Granada continues in earnest with a more sizeable converted population working its way through the country. The Emir discovers that his youngest son is Christian and decides to keep it a secret for the time being. He does, however, not get mad at his son but cautiously accepts him and begins to talk with his son about religion in his free time with his son. The country also begins to see some issues with its settlement in Morocco with many of them being Christian Castilians or converts. The Granadans continue to show more Christianization processes occuring with a viable expanding population of Christians living in the border towns and churches springing up in various areas across the country. The Granadam Emir becomes less tolerant of his son as he reaches the age of 16 and is a tad more rebellious in his religious motives having turned Christian years earlier. The Country begins to show promising signs of real economic advancement.
    • Kingdom of the Canaries: Now granted a semi-autonomous status from Castile the Canaries begin to work up their economy to a certain degree greatly utilizing the traders from Portugal as well as the new route to Oyo, and the trade from the Mediterranean. The Canaries is able to build upon the multiple viable settlements and a moderately sized and growing population. The Canaries also expand their settlement by 1000 hoping to take the remaining islands.
  • Bengal Sultanate: The decrease in taxes on the landed elite do their job in most areas of the Sultanate, decreasing the tax load on the peasantry and earning him their support. The tax cuts on the merchant class allow for more trade to be conducted, and a recent lax on some of the quota laws allows for more goods to be shipped from Bengal, greatly increasing trade income. The influence on Orissa continues due to the alliance signed by both powers, and vassalization attempts begin in earnist (Year Three), and the previous agreement by them that made us their only trade partner. Influence grows on Ahom and Koch, as now we provide much of their food, and many of their other goods since they now trade exclusively with us. The money gained from the trade continues to arm the various levies of the Sultanate, the landed elite, Orissa, and Arakan. Some of the money gained from trade is also put toward the construction of a few Islamic temples in various large cities in the Sultanate. Trading merchants begin to search the Eastern coast of Africa after stopping off in Yemen to search for more potential trade destinations. Trade with the states of Ava, Koch, Garjat, and Ahom continues, with influence being placed through trade on Ava and Garjat. The land gained from the war with Jaunpur is developing nicely, with both food and cash crops being grown in large amounts. The vassalization process beings on Aoch and Kohm (Year Six). With our merchants traveling to Ava, Koch, Ahom and Arakan regularly, Islam begins to gain a foothold in their nations. Several important trade roads begin to see much-needed maintenance. We begin to make some of Arakan's decisions and affairs into our own nations, rather than the decisions and affairs be strictly Arakan's (Turn four of integration). The trade post on the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal continues to grow into a full settlement with claims on surrounding land. We vassalize the two relatively small nations of Aoch and Kohm after vassalizing them for six years, and providing them with all their trade for seven years. (Is this alright? #ModOpinion?)
    • No.Both of them, combined, are almost half your size.you'd have to spend 20 years or so in this process.--Collie Kaltenbrunner (talk) 07:05, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
    • Arakan (Vassal of Bengal): The nation is ruled by a tolerant king, named Raja Anuj Chandra Charmchi, friendly to the Bengali Sultanate due to their favorable policies that have helped the Arakan states economy grow and diversify. Due to their trade being controlled mainly by Bengal for many years, their vassalization by Bengal has allowed them to open up their ports to other nations, and serve as resting point for many Bengali traders. Due to the influx of Islamic merchants into Arakan, several of the larger cities in Arakan begin to see far many more conversions of their residents to Islam.
      • Bengali Diplomacy: (Need's mod response, preferebly someone not involved in the godmodding issue): We ask the nations of Aohm and Koch (I've controlled their trade for six years, so right now I'm the only nation that provides them with food, as well as attempted to vassalize them for five years), and Ava to reconsider their previous decisions about an alliance.
  • Milan: Work continues on the Certosa di Pavia, the Castle Visconteo, and on the extensive Milan Cathedral. We continue training a proper standing army, utilizing Swiss mercenaries and local recruits. With border disputes now settled between the nations of Austria and Switzerland, we continue opening friendly relations with both nations in hopes of repairing our diplomatic relations and protecting our northern border. We continue constructing cogs and galleys to strengthen our navy and protect our interests on the seas. We continue influencing Florence and Padua.
  • Hey I have a question can the Wappinger tribe be included in North America?--Grantzu (talk) 22:46, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
  • Wallachia: Trade booms as the Venetians who dominated many Black Sea routes are caught in a civil war; this allows many Wallachian traders to take up some of the previously Venetian routes, and increases economic growth. This coupled with peace in Muscovy and the creation of a centralized state in Georgia spurs on the growth of the Wallachian banking industry, as more and more merchants take out loans to expand their fleets. The Bank of Olt is providing many peasants with loans, and small watermills, and workshops begin to spring-up all across the country. Michael I consolidates his power, and orders the improvement of trade facilities along the Danube, and in Dobruja. Mining flourishes and the foundry in Sulina now processes over 50% of all Wallachian ore. Salt and Iron now lead the exports, followed by beeswax, leather, and grain. The development of gunpowder based weapons continues.
    • Moldavia: Sharing in the prosperity, many ships are built in private shipyards, and are employed as merchant vessels. Shipbuilding becomes a more profitable profession, and the first wave of educated shipbuilders graduate from the Venetian school, allowing many new designs to be implemented. Prince Alexander has died his sons, who are not much younger than Michael himself, are called before Michael of Wallachia; each is given time to speak with Michael, and demonstrate one strength. Michael then selects Stephen II the most able of the brothers, and presents him with this offer: Assist me in joining our two nations under one crown, and you will become my heir and son. Stephen accepts; the two nations from now on will act as one, and fall under the rule of one crown. The United Danubian Principalities will be ruled by Michael; Stephen will retain some authority over Moldavia, and become heir to the throne of both territories.
  • Japan (Hosokawa Clan): Katashi, as the current Kampaku pleads to the Emperor to help him unite the daimyos in order to stop the shoguns expansionistic politics. Multiple ambassadors are sent to the daimyos that have been attacked by the shogun and another is sent to the shogun with a proposal. The shogun will return all lands he took from other daimyos and will have to dispose his military fleet. He would also have to pay tribute to the daimyos that he attacked in order to help them rebuild. Another two ambassadors are sent to the Ming Empire and Korea due to them being damaged by the shogun. The two ambassadors are sent carrying the message that the Japanese pirate raids have been caused by the shoguns innabillity to controll his people and his devious plans to steal Chinese coinage. Added will be an offer to the Ming Empire exclusively, which will allow him to take controll of all Japenese-controlled lands on Taiwan in exchange that he allows the Japanese residents there to leave peacefully and does not send any military to Japan for the next 10 years. Noted, this part will only be valid if the shogun accepts the treaty. If not, more ambassadors will be sent to southern daimyos in order to dispose of the shogun by force in order to create a more peaceful nation.#
  • Hungary, Croatia and all the vassals of Hungary see a greater number of military fortifications made. They also increase trading with each other
  • Mangut Nivkhgu: The pastry-kingdom expanded another 5000 km sq on Sakhalin. Master Wu and his chefs continued to lead the pastry world with their culinary developments - inventing powedered sugar. It is even rumored that it was Nivkh chefs exporting pastries who first intorduced orangres and bananas to Ming China - showing how swiftly the students had eclipsed their teachers in the succulent and subtle art of pastry. and what of the alliance i have been requesting with the wallonian minors who have no reason to say no? Nkbeeching (talk) 00:36, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Hadn't you already received a answer?--Collie Kaltenbrunner (talk) 06:41, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
according to some mods yes but others have simply overlooked the matter. Nkbeeching (talk) 11:14, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

Jan Hus continues spreading Wycliffite ideas, with very large numbers of the German populace (and most of the Bohemian one) supporting him.

  • Wasn't he burned at the stake six years ago?
can the issue of johann's papers be addressed as well? Nkbeeching (talk) 00:36, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Jan Hus wasn't burned at the stake like OTL because ATL he is a low ranking priest and worker at the University of Prague who isn't opposed by the Bohemiam king and papacy. Also his teachings are more accepted and less controversial.

Florence, beginning to feel threatened by growing Milanese influence, begin to grow closer economic and political ties to Venice. The Venetian economy begins to strongly influence the Florentine one.

  • I'm short on time today, I'll respond to this next turn.
  • How does this make any sense? Because I am attempting to establish friendly relations with Florence they leave me to attempt friendly relations with Venice? Doesn't that just benefit Venice in a way they wouldn't normally had been able to, since Venice is too small to vassalize them quickly. Also how come very time someone else vassalizes a nation they don't get a similar event?
  • That does not make sense to me, how is it that Florence, if he feel threatened constantly by Milanese, go to Venice which in these times is a small state in Italy and that right now is in the midle of a war civil, besides that their finances have been severely damaged by the conflict. Instead, seem more reasonable for me to lean on Naples, who are allied, share strong trade ties, are in a state of great peace, prosperity and stability, as well as being the largest and most prestigious Italian nation , and also saved them from losing a suicidal war.  There are many more possibilities for Naples be more influential in Florence, that Milan or Venice.
  • I think this event should be removed. It's a bit unfair to say a state joins someone's enemy just because their friend is trying to improve relations. No one should "get" Florence in a moderator event.

The answers of the Palatine nobles to Heinrich XVI’s letters are varied.the vast majority refuse his offer, either due to still being loyal to the current Elector Palatine, Louis III.or by thinking that the lack of a strong central authority is advantageous to them, and some few actually accept.Meanwhile, the knowledge that the Bavarian Duke is trying to exploit his lack of control to usurp his lands and his title of Elector drives Louis III to attempt to slowly assert more control over his lands.

Rumors circulate that some nations were looking to sail after Gods Fleet, but decided against it due to technological and supplies limitations. Cyprus continue politics with King Janus rising in popularity among the native Greeks as a new noble position reserved for a Greek is made called Prince-Magistrate of Nicosia. The Catholic population grows with the Cyprus Orthodox church also growing. (Note: People are going away from Islam, Greek Orthodoxy, ect.). Influence of Achaia begins (3 turns Left). The French and Italian population grows around the OTL İskele District, which is becoming home to more and more Western European population. The Western Europeans come with peasants, nobles, and merchants alike hoping to build a better life on a emerging nation.
    • Um isnt Achaea someone elses vassal and thus unable to be influenced in such a way. Also wouldnt a crusader kingdom refrain from any major freindly contact with a Islamic state.
    • Not necessarily. I read an interesting article about the large amount of cultural and economic exchange which occured between Christians and Muslims even during the actual Crusading Era. Obviously Cyprus shouldn't get too friendly, but I don't think that a strategic and obviously self-interested move made in order to gain more land would be that far out of the question. But that's just my opinion. Callumthered (talk) 07:20, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

His works begin to circle within the University of Brussel and the University of Amsterdam.  efforts to relieve the areas damaged by the floods begins and reconstruction begins as does efforts to improve the protection of the area against floods. Trade continues as does banking. Channel systems are placed under construction to ease future floods. With the hope of discovering a way to the vast riches of the east and to further the area of Dutch trade Engelburt proposes a joint expedition south along the coast of Africa to the Castillian and to the English crowns with Dutch money backing the expedition. (OTL Portuguese exploration began in 1415, i only really want to start exploring the African coastline, not establish colonies.) Military expansion continues as the arquebus is produced in larger quantities and proves far superior to the hand cannon. The idea to make one in every four men within the General Estates army carry a firearm with the rest carrying either a pike or a sword is put forward and approved (based on the Hungarian tactics OTL during the mid 1400s against the Ottomans.) More cannons are produced and their importance in future wars is greatly noticed by the generals of the General Estates. Brussels, the seat of power of the General Estates, continues to break away from the HRE politically while still remaining a part of it for the time being. Ties with Castille, Prussia, England, and France continue to grow.

Trade continues with the Icelandic settlement, mostly from the Erie Merchant Company, as little comes from the desolate isle, and some leave the settlement back for Ireland, but at the end of the year, a makeshift dock and trading facility is completed, bolstering the population minorly. We ask the UNC to recognize the settlement. OOC: Note, that this is not part of Munster, just a VERY SMALL (50 or so people) settlement of Irishmen dependent on trade with Munster. Farming reforms continue, with the majority of the Kingdom having adopted the new reforms by now, raising food production. Most towns of Munster are connected via road, and a road is extended into southern coastal Mayo, and many clansmen of the area are attracted by it and settlements spring up alongside it. In this way, we expand into southern coastal Mayo. Much of Munster is happy as the first Western pope, Ian is from Munster. Though not all of Munster is Western Catholic, many are, and conversions to the true Church continue, with the epicenter being at the Rock of Cashel, in Tipperary, the center of Western Catholicism in Munster. Some missionaries go into the clans of Mayo, further spreading Munsterian culture amongst the clansmen, and the bravest go to England. Military reforms continue, as Munster could be under threat from Roman Catholic nations who are looking to extinguish this new branch of Catholicism. Trade continues in northern regions, and many who once traded in other locations, sail to the north German coast, and areas controlled by the UNC, as trade relations with them have begun, and due to England's efforts to eclipse the Hanseatic League. Whiskey continues to be a popular export.

The navy and military are improved to prepare for further attacks. Vassalization efforts are finished in Dulkadir and Erzincan, and troop numbers are increased in the territories. The war, plus the recent conflicts in Venice that the sultan learns about, further complicates any further talks to establish a new Roman-Venetian pact. He sends letters to the two nations, telling their leaders they can secure a peace agreement after these conflicts are dealt with.
The influence on Orissa continues due to the alliance signed by both powers, and vassalization attempts begin in earnist (Year Four), and the previous agreement by them that made us their only trade partner. Influence grows on Ahom and Koch, as now we provide much of their food, and many of their other goods since they now trade exclusively with us. With our merchants traveling to Ava, Koch, Ahom and Arakan regularly, Islam begins to gain a foothold in their nations. Several important trade roads begin to see much-needed maintenance. We begin to make some of Arakan's decisions and affairs into our own nations, rather than the decisions and affairs be strictly Arakan's (Turn five of integration). The merchants that continually travel between Kohm, Aoch and Ava begin to allow for some of the populations of those nations to begin to convert to Islam.
    • Arakan (Vassal of Bengal): The nation is ruled by a tolerant king, named Raja Anuj Chandra Charmchi, friendly to the Bengali Sultanate due to their favorable policies that have helped the Arakan states economy grow and diversify. Several Tamil nobles rebel in both South and North Vijayanagara, demanding the reunification of the two nations and the Muslim rulership to end. They have widespread popular support, and mobs soon surround Timurid governing palaces.

First off, There are no Tamils in Vijayanagara( I think), Second off Dean let them be independent. Jbwncster (talk) 00:52, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
Lol finally something we can agree on -Nova 01:23, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
The three of us lol.

The remnants of the San Agustín culture are finally assimilated, spreading the Quimbaya confederation across the Cauca river. As one of the Three Chieftains dies heirless mysteriously, the Confederation begins to centralise.

The Motilones in OTL Cúcuta begin to be heavily influenced by Quimbaya development. Threatened by the strong western Colombian force, they themselves begin centralising, establishing widespread control over much of OTL North Santander in eastern Colombia.

  • Sine's seal of approval lol.

The Tutul Xiu in the Yucatán unite their feudal clans’ appanages into a centralised feudal monarchy controlling the western third of Maya city-state territory in the Yucatán.

The Wenro’s warlike chieftains are defeated in battle by a pro-Iroquoian group. The Wenro join the Confederation. Wyandot tribes face rising interest in this confederation forming.

The Bachwezi Dynasty in the Great Lakes Region begins to centralise the Empire of Kitara in OTL Uganda and northern Rwanda.

Burghers in Great Zimbawe take control of the trading posts in the coast, displacing the Arab traders that used to have dominance. The gold trade becomes more African-dominated.

Novgorodian traders complain to the veche, feeling increasingly under the Muscovite heel of this “Eastern Alliance”. Large pressure begins to be exerted on the Veche to cancel this alliance.

Protests begin in the mostly Assyrian North Mesopotamia, with the Assyrians wanting their own Christian kingdom as they have seen the success of independent, Christian Armenia and Georgia.

A small skirmish occurs in the Prussia-Novgorod border between Prussian soldiers and Novgorodian peasants.

  • Brabant-Hainaut-Holland: The alliance with the rest of the Netherlands grow stronger as the B-H-H forces prove the strongest in the region and Engelburt offers to support the development of the militaries of the other states. Military reforms along the proposed lines begin with a steady line of firearms coming out of Hainaut and Brabant. Karl van Nassau's formal education begins as he is of an age deemed sutible for education by Engelburt. His main tutor is a follower of Johann's papers which hints the general sympathies of the General Estates and of Engelburt himself. The ruling and economic elites of the Estates continue to prefer trade, banking and artisen production over traditional agrarian economics praticed in the rest of the HRE as it is much more sutable for the lands, and mentality of region. Expansion of the navy continues as development of smaller, studier and more sea worthy vessels become priority for shipwrites, along with increasing the capacity to carry cannons. With the English agreeing to the Joint venture of exploration for a more direct route to the riches of Asia and the riches of Africa, Engelburt proposes a joint expedition to begin next year leaving the port of Amsterdam and heading south along the West African coast. Trade increases in the north and in the Med Sea. The supporters of Johann begin the so called Reformation League and begin making demands for changes in the church within the General Estates and throughout the Lowlands, this creates friction with the supporters of the Catholic church. The Reformists are backed by many of the Dutch and Wallon Estates. Distancing from the Holy Roman Empire continious. The courts of Brussel and Amsterdam continious to support artists and inventors. Johann Reformists request entry into France Burgundy, Flanders, and the West HRE States to spread the word of Reform.
    • H-B-L Dip: we ask to purchase 100 arquebus'.
    • B-H-H Dip: The General Estates Agree. on another note Reformist supporters request access to Hamburg to spread the works of Johann.
    • H-B-L: Hollands reformists are allowed into Hamburg as a sign of good faith.
    • Albion Dip: We requests purchase of arqbusiers. We agree to forming a trade league to help further English trade from the Crown trading Company. We propose the North Sea Trade Union, to comprise of Albion, Holland, and the UNC, in part to wrestle more trade from the declining Hansetic League.
    • B-H-H Dip: we sell several arqubuses to the english. we als opropose it be called the north sea trade league so to avoid confusion of it being known as a union.
  • Prussia: The Prussians continue efforts to vassalize Pomerania.
    • Reformist supporters request access to Prussia to help preach and distribute the works of Johann.
  • Tibet: The vassalization of Nepal continues. The centralization of the government in Lhasa has finished. The Gongma continues to fortify the capital. Tibetan defenses are expanded. The Gongma also recognizes Bön as another offical religion of Tibet. (will take years for people to accept and not persecute them). The Gongma also recognizes the Abbot of Menri Monastery, Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen, as the official leader of the Bön and bestows the title of Rinpoche (precious one) on all future Bön leaders. Tibet expands 200 sq mi into the Shan States and sets up a trading company and post, The Royal Tibetan Trading Company. Also the Gongma wishes to take a bride.
  • Domination of Draka: Stocking up of food continues while construction of new roads continues. Draka turns 23. The military is built up, we work on the economy. Draka continues several new fleets continue consutrction in the Timurid harbors. The nation of Venad continues to convert to Islam, as does Jaffna. We influence Bahamani (Year Two). We offer alliances to Bahamani and Andrha, promising them non-aggression pacts. Will add more later.  We declare neutrality in the Malmuk-Ottoman War, stating that we have a NAP with Ottomans and an alliance with Malmuks.
    • Emirate of Venad: The Emir continues to build roads around the country, as well as military installations and new forts across the land. Food continues being stocked up. Work is made on the economy. People continue to convert to Islam.
Construction continues of a navy. People continue to convert to Islam.
    • Kingdom of Iran: We work on the economy.
    • Kingdom of Gilan:  We work on the economy.
    • Kingdom of Khursan: We work on the economy.
  • Knights of St John: In Bodrum more artillery is purchased. Our Order's military continues to expand. Hand cannons and guns are once again tried to be fitted into the Order's military, but once again it is swiftly cast aside for the new arbalest crossbow. With longer range and faster reloading time, the crossbow will allow the dead eye Crusaders to meet their enemy with a few bolts inside them. Philibert de Naillac the previous Grandmaster was killed in the battle for Cyprus with his young nephew of only 20 years takes his place, Vittorio de Luca. Cyprus, which was successfully won in the battle for control of the crusader island, had a loss of 25% of it's population. The Pope gave the right to the knights to burn and kill the heretics that helped and allied with a muslim nation [Mamelukes]. Cyprus begins to build a medium sized port-city, called Naillac after the old Grandmaster, in hopes that the actual survivors of the battle will come there for refuge to convert to the Knights Hospitaller. The Order of St John is sending over economic support and supplies, as well as military assistance to the Roman Empire in the annexing and invasion of Achaea/Pylos. Relations with the Kingdom of Naples is strengthened, as well as the Austrian Empire. The Knights Hospitaller focus on increasing recruit numbers on the island of Cyprus, and to our surprise many knights, clouded by the old and false grandmaster whom of which aligned with muslims, came to rejoin the Knights Hospitaller, under the true guidance of the Pope in the Vatican. A moderately sized group of knights are sailed over to Castile to guard the King. The fortifications in Rhodes are finally finished. A navy is underway as many new shipyards are constructed. A small number of trade and merchant ships are finished at the city of Bodrum. The Royal Knights, sent to the Vatican as guards to the Pope, start to learn how to effectively used guns being taught by the italians.
    • Tekke (Vassal of the Knights of St John)The fort/city of Valetta is being renamed to Castio de Torez. The amount of recruits in the region of Tekke is doubled with the booming population of Chirstians in the area. Castio de Torez is fitted with heavy artillery in the main towers of the gatehouse. Castio de Torez sends reinforcements to the Roman Empire in their invasion of Achaea/Pylos. A small navy is also underway to rule the eastern part of the Med. Sea.
    • Knights of St John diplomacy: Trade rights are requested from the Kingdom of Georgia. Military access is asked from the Kingdom of Aragon to build a small base in Malta. Military access is asked from the Mamelukes to build a small trading/naval base near Antioch.
      • Naples Dip: The Pope gives his bless to Vittorio de Luca. The king Ladislaus I, ask for a special group of Knights, to form his new group of bodyguards. (Malta is owned by Sicily, BTW)
      • Knights of St John diplomacy: We shall send him 200 Royal Knights, although the amount of Royals is dwindling. (Who owns Sicily, then?)
      • Naples Dip: Andrea Orsi sends a thanks letter in name of the King. (Another player)
      • Georgian Response: The Kingdom of Georgia accepts the trade request from the Knights of St John. Additionally, in light of the Cypriots' support of the Mamluks, Georgia offers basing rights and supplies to the Knights of St John for the duration of its war with Cyprus; in return, it requests that the Knights return the favor at a later date.
  • Hamburg-Brunswick-Lüneburg: influence of Saxe-Lauenburg continues (Turn Two). The port and shipbuilding facility upgrades are completed, allowing Hamburg to accommodate scores of ships of all type. Hamburg hears of the planned Anglo-Dutch expedition down to Africa. Some, with the HTSC being their largest supporter, push for the government to tag along, citing economic opportunities. Finally, an envoy is sent, offering any help England or Holland needs. The arquebus's bought from Holland are studied and compared to the hand cannons of Hamburgs army. In every aspect they prove superior. Local blacksmiths are ordered to duplicate the technology, but some see them as too untested. Prince William begins looking for a wife.
    • Actually no.according to the size rules that i have already explained in past turns, since Saxe-Lauenburg is about your one-third of your size, it will take 16 years or so to fully vassalize them.--Collie Kaltenbrunner (talk) 07:16, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the clarification.
  • In Savoy, the economy continues growing, and the kingdom prospers. The army hires more mercenaries. The Count tries to improve his position in the north Italian region, the vasalization of d'Asti and Montferrat is complete. d'Asti expand his military, and his economy. Montferrat expand his military and his economy.
  • The Jochid Ulus' coronation of Khan Temür-Hachiun I occurs this year, a few days after what was expected. The Khan is crowned in an extremely elaborate ceremony that contains not only normal Jochid coronation ceremonies but also local new developments imagined by both burghers and local nobles. The coronation brings a boost to the Jochid economy, as does the optimal agricultural produce of Ukraine, the Volga river area and Kazakhstan. These territories continue to develop a demographic boom as Tatars and other peoples migrate to the area. The nation expands its colony in the Yamal by 5000 square kilometres, most notably in its northwestern edge. The Nenets people in the area continue to settle down and the logging and mining industries grow notably, leading to the growth of wealth in this far-northern area. The Ulus also continues to improve its infrastructure, as the cities are connected. These movements also begin to cause the spread of some ideas, most notably amongst them the Mastorava, which finds its way spread amongst several hundred traders across the Volga-Kama areas. The Mastorava's ideas are expanded upon in every region where it is found; the local beliefs of the people (in many cases, Christianity and Islam) are added upon in regional variations, and prached. The basics for modern Mastoravic beliefs are found all across these regional variations. Messages are sent to courts around the world seeking for a wife for the Khan; Christian courts are reminded in the letter that interfaith marriage is allowed under interpretation of Corinthians 7:12-14, which states "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his (believing) wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband". The hand gonne arming of the army continues, with more officers being granted guns. The Jochid Ulus sends military support to the Ottoman Empire through civilian traders' ships going to Constantinople, and diverted to Smyrna instead. These ships continue to grow in size as the port of Sochi finally opens its harbours, and the fleet of the Ulus begins to be built. Diplomats are sent by the new Khan to the Rus' states, the Timurid Empire, the Ottoman Empire, Scandinavia and the Byzantine Empire, seeking better relations with the nearby nations.
    • the Principality of Great Perm expands its military and economy. More churches are built in Kolvavkvar to expulse Islamic influences. Cherdyn begins to be expanded as a city, to once again grow larger than Kolvavkvar. The Mastorava finds its way with Komis, who expand her much like in the Ulus itself. Permic merchants also continue to secretly continue teaching the Komi language in the east of Novgorod, without knowledge of the Permic government.
    • the Principality of Adyghea expands by 2000 square kilometres throughout Circassian borders, as more tribes swear fealty. The fortified plazas in the Caucasus continue to grow, as does Maykop, boosting the economy. The military is also improved, as troops are trained. The Adyghe send a diplomat to Sarai to congratulate the Ulus' new Khan.
  • Korea: (Chinese vassal) The Korean government's confidence grows as China continues to remain silent on the issue of making Korea more independent. The Reforms continue, although critics point out the many flaws in the merit system such as the still-rampant corruption and bribery. However, the Emperor Taejong declares the Reforms to be a success so far, and declares that they will continue for at least another 2 years. The purging of Chinese influence from Korea continues, with thoughts going into creating a Korean written language as well as a secret economic treaty/non-aggression pact with Japan. Emperor Taejong dies in his sleep, leaving the crown to his son, Emperor Sejong. King Sejong revolutionizes government by appointing people throughout different social classes to civil servants, further reforming the civil service. Furthermore, he begins to perform official government events according to Confucianism, and he encourages people to behave according to Confucianism. As a result, Confucianism begins to become social norm. The campaign against the pirates continues, although the attacks have grown less and less frequent due to the works of the civilian milita as well as the Korean navy. The military continues to be improved, with suggestions being made to start a whole new volunteer army. Military technology continues to advance, including cannons and different types of gunpowder.
    • Japan (Hosokawa-Kono Clan): After the successful economic treaty, the Kampaku Hosokawa Katashi pleads to the Sejong to help him eradicate the root of the problem, the Ashikaga Shogunate. He therefore asks for Korean help regarding artillery and simillar gunpowder-based weaponry.
  • Kingdom of Georgia: Upon hearing the news that Assyrian nationalists have begun to protest in northern Mesopotamia, King Giorgi publicly voices his support for the protestors, stating that "all Christian peoples should have the right to worship their God as they please." When word of the ongoing Assyrian genocide reaches T'bliisi, a furious King Giorgi immediately mobilizes the entire Georgian army and declares war on Mesopotamia; the Georgian logistical train suffers due to the lack of preparation time, but the King will brook no delays. While there is some doubt as to whether the Ottomans or the Mamluks committed the atrocity, the Georgians decide that securing northern Mesopotamia will stop the slaughter regardless. The Georgian military expands as King Giorgi meets with a council of Georgian nobles - including the influential Princes of Imereti and Kakheti - to discuss the dispositions of those principalities' levies. Georgian emissaries continue negotiating with the chiefs of the state of Dido to accelerate that state's submission to Georgia (4 turns to vassalization, if I've done my math right). In dynastic news, Georgia's Queen Tamar of Imereti gives birth to a daughter, Ketevan; unlike the last one, this child is pampered to the point of paranoia, with no expenses spared on her care, and joins her brother Prince Ilia in surviving her first year of infancy. With the birth (and subsequent betrothal) of Princess Ketevan, both sides of the Georgian-Armenian marriage are in place; beginning next year, the two nations plan to coordinate their policies in accordance with their dynastic union. with the dynastic union now in place, the Georgian call the Armenians into war against the Mamluks, as the first test of their marriage alliance. Perhaps as a result of the massacre of the Christian Assyrians (who are outside the purview of the Orthodox Church) impending union, the Armenian Apostolic Church - which has yet to take a stance on the Constantinople-approved resolutions at the Council of Batumi - comes under increased pressure to respond before the terms change. (Mods - I could really use a response for the Armenian Church on the Council of Batumi. I'm planning to start playing Armenia next turn, and would like Armenia's position to be mod-approved as opposed to me just rubber-stamping it.)
    • Georgian Diplomacy: The Georgian King sends another messenger to the Jochid Ulus, requesting a decision regarding his proposed split of the trans-Caucasian territories (Circassia to the Horde; Ossetia and Dido to Georgia), and offering a 20-year non-aggression pact should the Horde accept; the Georgian ambassador once again hints at a possible "solution to the Alan problem" that the Georgians would be willing to discuss privately if the Khan agrees to the first request. Georgian emissaries also arrive at the court of the Ottoman Empire, requesting military access through Ottoman lands and Georgian control of northern Mesopotamia should the Ottomans triumph; in return, they offer to join the Ottomans in a coalition against the Mamluks Georgian military support against the Mamluks.
    • Ottoman Dip: We agree to the coalition.
    • Knights of St John diplomacy: Trade rights are requested from the Kingdom of Georgia.
  • France: the military and navy are built up, the vassalage of Bourbon and Berry continues. Continues establishing its own entity to deal with the religious crisis left by the Schism.
    • Burgundy: Military and navy are built up. Vassalage of Lorraine continues. the same choice made by the French is taken by the burgundians as they feel the same way to France.
    • Flanders: Military and navy are built up, economy expands.
    • Blois: Military, economy expand.
    • Dunois: Military and economy expand.
    • Angouleme: Military and economy expand.
    • Parthenay: Military and economy expand.
    • Perigord: Military and economy expand.
    • Saluzzo: Military and economy expand.
    • Orleans: Military and economy expand.
    • Lorraine:Military and economy are built up.
    • Berry: Military and economy are built up.
    • Bourbon: Military and economy are built up.
    • Auvergne: Military and Economy are built up
    • Forez: Military and economy are built up
  • Novgorod:We continue the production of Koch boats, cannons, hand cannons, advanced crossbows, swords, and composite bows, increasing our military capabilities in case of war. After seeing a great success with the private schools in the City of Novgorod, Saint Patriksburg, Staraya Russa, and Nizhny Novgorod. We start building a private school in Rostov. We will soon build private schools in Torzhok and Staraya Ladoga in the near future. We finished vassalissing Yaroslavl, and start the construction of a new private school. We ask Denmark for an alliance against our Rival Sweden. (Mod response please).
    • Rostov: We completed the construction of the private school in Rostov. We upgrade our military after being a vassal of Novgorod. We upgrade our economy because of the trade established between Tver, Muscovy and Novgorod.
    • Yaroslavl: We start the construction of the private school in Yaroslavl. We upgrade our military after being a vassal of Novgorod. We upgrade our economy because of the trade established between Tver, Muscovy and Novgorod.
Meanwhile, the colony of Leiname expands by 200 sq km. In order to gain the minimum conditions for the development of agriculture, the settlers continue to take down parts of the dense forest that covers the island.construction of canals also continues, due to the fact that in some parts of the island, there is excess water, and in other, scarcity of water. Meanwhile, sporadic exploration of the African const continues.
  • The Mamluk Sultanate finishes it's war with the Ottomans as their capital at Bursa falls to an onslaught of the most modern use of gunpowder in the Muslim world. Both use of cannons and use of firearms assist the mixed units of Mamluks and footsoldiers finish the siege of the city. We ask the Ronans to join our war in exchange for Gree e, and other lands. In order to finalize the war, the Sultan, al-Mansur, decides to call a conference of all regional powers to Baghdad. Among those invited include: the Greek Romans, the Domination, the Hospitallers, the Jochid Ulus, the Cypriots, and the Georgians. with the war in the final negotiation stages, and the success of recent guerrilla tactics (taken from the Ethiopian terror wars), the University of al-Islam in Damascus continues to expand its knowledge of wartime strategies. The continued reform of the Mamluk orders strengthens the power of the local emirs, and ultimately the Sultan himself. al-Sumal expands 10,000 sq km, and Zanzibar and Mombasa, formerly in union, combine to form the Emirate of al-Swahili. Diplomatically, al-Mansur marries the heiress and Princess to the Hafsid Sultanate, and an alliance is put into place. As the war draws to a close, all states affiliated with the Burjis see an economic boom and a boost in Arab population.
    • 'Nubia finally manages to gain full control over the situation in the Christian regions. The terror attacks have stopped after an ultimatum issued late last year that threatened the nation of Ethiopia directly. Ifat expands 10,000 sq km, as do the Arabian states of Yemen and Mecca. 'Cicilia reaffirms their superiority over the contended vassal if Dulkadir as the Ottomans are defeated.
    • Knights of St John diplomacy: Military access is asked from the Mamelukes to build a small trading/naval base near Antioch. Also, the Knights Hospitaller will send a delegate of the Order to Baghdad.
  • Mesopotamia defeats their Ottoman enemy, creating a massive shift in the regional balance of power, now only split between the Burji sultan and the Domination. Meanwhile, as the war is raging a task force leads the massacres of over 200,000 Assyrian Christians, and the official reports blame the attacks on a stray Ottoman army. The story is largely bought and the Iraqi Christian population effectively disappears. (Note: over 150,000 Christians were massacred by Timur, so in only 20 years, 350,000 Christians were killed). This was done in secret: nobody knows that we were behind it.
    • The algorithm isn't finished, you can't declare outstanding victory just yet. ChrisL123 (talk) 17:09, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • You're not killing more people than Temur did in 50 years in a single one through a task force while at war with the Ottomans, especially since they'd be fighting back and it's not the 1930s so effective genocide is impossible.
    • The whole post had to be crossed out.the algorythm that assured your victory was wrong in basic things and having a enormous bias for your own side.
  • County of Oldenburg: This year is a quiet one in Oldenburg. The serfs work the fields, the lords hold their annual manor feast, the seasons change. The OHG has a rather uneventful year with the Northern fleet returning safely and fair profits being made. Vassalisation of Osnabruck enters its fifth year. Even the Count's family can't make any news: there are no babies this year, and all the pre-existing ones remain alive. The only slightly  interesting tidbit is Count Dietrich's sister Louise going off to Hesse to marry Ludwig I. But that's not really that interesting, since the wedding doesn't take place in Oldenburg. For everyone, 1422 seems like a never-ending lazy summer day.
  • Majapahit: Sorry that I was absent for a couple of days, but now I have vacation and seas of time. In the uneventful 5-year periode nothing interesting happened. Trade expanded money was earned, more men were equipped with arquebuses and Tulang Bawang was further influenced. But Wikramadhana didn't give up his dream to unite Java, and preperations are made to invade Sunda a second time and finish them once and for all! Via Surrounding nation, Islam wins popularity in the Sumatran part of the empire. The king has to make a decision regarding this issue if he wins to be tolerant or if he wants to prosecute them. He decides to wait for now but soon a decision has to be made.
    • arquebus were western tech at this point.
    • Ok, but what can I do with the gunpowder, or what does China do with it? Mr YOLO (talk) 17:40, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
  • The Nation of the Oirats: We begin to build our next city in OTL Northern Sinkiang, named Haska. Cement increases in production. Coal is used to increase iron production and the cavalry starts to receive iron weapons. More firearm smiths are built in Haska. More beer is fermented and it becomes a popular drink for the nomads. As we increase in population, we slowly target our expansion northward. We expand 10 px to the North. We continue our fight and we raise more soldiers. More muskets are built to defend against the Yuan. We continue to fight and we retake Oskemen using firearms. We secretly send a mission of 100 cavalry to the second largest tribe in Mongol Khanate and asks them to rebel against the Mongol Khanate, which the Oirats would support (Mongol Khanate is still decentralized)
  • Oirats D to China: We ask China to send an army against the Mongol Khanate as it has been slowly beating us.
  • Oirats D to Tibet: We give Tibet permission to use the silk road in exchange for weapons and supplies.
  • Mayan Empire: We expand to the east coast, and establish towns along it. We continue to seize territory from the other tribes in the area, and are expanding at a slow, steady pace. The military is expanded to accomidate the growing expandsion. Economic build up begins.
  • Japan (Ashikaga Clan): We fix up our roads and add outposts in different areas just in case to watch out for enemies. We build up our military and navy. Six more ships are being built. Due to the Hosokawa-Kono state aligning with other states, some ambassadors of ours go to the states to the north to ask for an alliance to stop the Hosokawa-Kono state from getting stronger. We send three ships to Ryukyu state to as the pirates if they want to be in an alliance and help us stop the Hosokawa-Kono state. We give the Ryukyu state 10,000 coins for them to use to build up there military. We ask the Ryukyu state to raid the Hosokawa-Kono state to make them weak so that we could kill them off. (need mod response to see how the clans respond)
  • First of all, there is a slim chance of any state joining and Ryukyu especially, since they're not even Japanese. Also, you can't have 10,000 coins since you use Chinese imported coinage and another thing, even if you get Ryukyu, they can't possibly be powerful enough to raid me untill you can "kill me off". -Sky
  • The Ming Dynasty is angered by the Shogunate's continued intolerant policies, meddling with Taiwan, Vietnam and Ming trade, attacking Ming traders in their (the Shogun's)  lands and persecuting the other daimyos. The Yongle Emperor in an uncharacteristic fit of rage declares that enough is enough and blockades the Shogun with the treasure fleet. Flying crows are mounted on the ships and face the shoreline with the threat of bombarding the coastal ports of the Shogun. In addition he turns his attention north to the Mongol Khanate asking them to cease the raids and warfare with the Oirats or face the Chinese military. Korea, Tainan, Haixi and Qara Del work on their militaries and prepare for war. The Ming Southern and Western Armies are given special training and are marched north.
    • Japan (Hosokawa-Kono Clan) Diplomacy: The Hosokawa-Kono Clan, representing the true Japan, offers the Ming Dynasty to get their revenge. they would only need to help us and our allies with our lack of gunpowder and artillery.
    • The Ming Dynasty gives the Hosokawa Clan one hundred "flying crows" on hire to augment their military.
    • Japan (Ashikaga Clan) Dip: We ask if you can stop all of this crap now. I am not going to attack anyone and nobody is going to get hurt. Tell your ships to leave please. I want peace.
    • Japan (Hosokawa-Kono Clan) Dip: We plead to the Ming Dynasty to ignore the lies of the Ashikaga clan. The new young shogun's diplomatic abilities, or their lack have only added problems to the Ashikaga Clan. The former shogun has with his bloody wars and tolerating of pirates proven that he was unfit to rule.
  • Munster: Rumors continue about the Dragon Fleet from Hell, however many discredit them now and see them as impossible as nothing had happened over the past year. Gradually trade continues to the southern Europe, albeit slowed for now. The King hands his son control over Westmeath as he is to become the new King someday.
