The Ming Dynasty still rules over the vast lands of China. On the other side of the world, the Hundred Years War continues between England and France. Europe is still stuck in the old ways of feudalism and chivalry while the notions of a New World are considered figments of imagination.

We welcome you to the long-awaited fourth expansion of that immortal series. Welcome to Principia Moderni IV! Starting in 1400 AD, this is the dawn of the modern world and the tail end of the Middle Ages. The Renaissance is just kicking off in Europe, while the nations in the western side of the continent are locked in the last gasp of the Hundred Years War. The Muslim world is still reeling from the invasions of Turks and Mongols, with the Caliphate resting in the collapsing Mamluk Egypt and the Ottomans on the rise in Anatolia. Make it count.

The first game was the most successful on the wiki, leading all the way to the modern day with mostly plausible posts and little controversy. The second game reached almost to the modern day, but failed due to a plethora of ASB events and moderator bias. The third game was much more worthy of the first, almost running into implausibility but climbing back into a shining glory by the end. Riding on the latest reforms of map games since the end of PMIII, this is the most logical next step in that evolution. Remember above all other rules, — have fun.

Plausibility Strikes

Three strikes and you're out! Each strike resets after 30 years of the most recent strike.

Moderator Strikes

These are strikes for moderators and how they moderate. The same three strikes rules apply. If a moderator is banned from moderating, however, they can still play as their nation. Mod strikes can be delivered in one of three ways:

  1. If a sufficient number of players (more than half of all players voting) vote to give a moderator a strike.
  2. If I, Scraw, give them a strike.
  3. If a majority of all mods (i.e., more than half of the total number of mods, excluding that moderator) vote to give a moderator a strike.

Moderators can be given strikes for the following reasons:

  1. Exhibiting bias that would benefit the nation they are playing.
  2. Exhibiting bias that would negatively affect a player they have a personal dispute with.
  3. Making a ruling that contradicts a proven fact from OTL or an established fact from earlier in the game.
  4. Overruling a decision of a majority of moderators.

The Game

1800

The Jiaqing Emperor dies.

Napoleon Bonaparte gathers a small army and marches to confront the Revolutionary Council. He gives them the option of surrendering power to him or doing. They vote four to three to surrender and he exiles them to Laurentia. Napoleon holds new elections and his partisans win with an overwhelming majority. The result has been falsified and exaggerated, but he did actually win the majority of the vote. Napoleon declares that he has the mandate and proclaims himself Chancellor. He is now also a great leader.

A storm wrecks Belkan and allied ships off the Egyptian coast. Many of the men on the boats are dead, although a few managed to swim to shore. Meanwhile, the fighting continues, with the Egyptians led by Muhammad Ali.

  • Illinois Confederation: Silver Lynx's son is born, name Three Crows he will become chief by age 14 as a great prophecy told by the medicine women Snowdove, it tells that three crows will grow the Confederation from their heartland south to the great serpent back (Ozarks), north toward the mouth of great spirit (Lake Itasca), west toward Lone Horn (Pikes Peak) and east toward one turtle (Diamond Island, KY), with our traders in parts of whites land we ask the locals to get a leader from the area to come to Illibuck to talk about trading other such things (Britain's reposes needed),  in the meanwhile we keep doing trades roots and keep growing corn and buckwheat, we raise up 400 more warriors and we expand 30 px north (Sturgeon MO)
  • Empire of Dravidia (Ziyad): Following three years of continuous fighting, a breakthrough was finally found, allowing the royalists to decisively crush the rebel forces at the Battle of Srirangapatna. This opening was owed largely to the arrival of Thuggee reinforcements under the command of Behram Jamedar, who aggressively penetrated deep into enemy lines and pushed them within range of the Dravidian artillery, essentially routing the enemy forces in a matter of hours. As the rebel soldiers began to flee in the ensuing chaos, they were pursued by Ziyad, with many of them slaughtered and the remaining captured. Ziyad may have been the one who remained courageous and steadfast at the battlefield of Srirangapatna, labouring alongside his soldiers for over two years but it would unfortunately not be him, rather instead Behram who would be remembered for the victory; such was life. The Rais of Shiraz's forces, Gangadhar Rao was captured as well but instead of having him executed, Ziyad offered the prisoner the choice to join him. Surprisingly, Gangadhar agreed to discard his loyalty to Shiraz and swore allegiance to Ziyad instead, rather strange behavior for someone who had fought so ferociously for Shiraz not too long ago. With the battle won, Ziyad and his army victoriously entered into the city of Mysore, marching straight through its streets and alleys as the people watched, wondering if Ziyad planned on killing them all. Fortunately for them, he had no such plans. Mysore was of too great value to simply be thrown away and sacked and Ziyad was well aware of that. Instead, he delivered a fiery speech in the midst of the people, calling upon to make the right choice by turning against the treacherous Shiraz and to be his witness as he raised hell upon the remaining rebels. Within a fortnight of the conquest of Mysore, Ziyad and the allied host began marching toward Tanjore, hoping to bring a quick end to the war. Unfortunately for them, whilst midway to Shiraz's capital, they were informed of the news that whilst Warren Hastings had went off to capture Masulipatnam, Idris had snuck away from the blockade of Kollam, proclaimed himself Emperor and taken over Hyderabad (with Gulburga already being in his possession). This news practically enraged Ziyad as not only was the Grand Vizier at Hyderabad but so were Ziyad's wives and his children. This essentially placed more than a dozen bargaining chips in Idris's hands and made almost all of Ziyad's inner circle hostages. Stuck in a total deadlock and fearing the worst, Ziyad seriously considered marching back to Hyderabad but was convinced by Robert Clive to keep on track and continue onward toward Tanjore. Robert made it clear that if Idris wanted to harm the hostages, there really was no possible way to stop him and that as far as taking back the city was concerned, they could depend upon Warren to do it as he had successfully captured Masulipatnam by now (reportedly also sacking the city and slaughtering its inhabitants) and was therefore free to retake Hyderabad. Although it was an incredibly difficult decision as it involved abandoning his family to fate, Ziyad eventually did realize that Robert was indeed correct. Nevertheless, he still felt the need to have someone supervise the retaking of Hyderabad (having grown to distrust Warren due to him leaving Hyderabad defenseless), and as such, sent Gangadhar Rao north to assist Warren. This action was opposed by Robert as well as Ziyad's other advisors as Gangadhar wasn't trustworthy yet but Ziyad had his orders carried out regardless of that, even going one step ahead and naming Gangadhar the new Grand Vizier. With Gangadhar sent away to deal with Idris, Ziyad's forces and the allied armies continued on toward Tanjore, reaching it in time and laying siege to it. Meanwhile, at Hyderabad, Idris had the Grand Vizier Sadullah Khan, the Chancellor and almost all of the Viziers beheaded on charges of treason whilst Ziyad's wives were publically stoned and the imperial harem was made open to Idris's soldiers for them to forcefully take whoever they felt like. Ziyad's children however were not harmed as they were to serve as hostages for the time being and were as such thrown away into dungeons. While these actions were quite drastic and harsh, Idris felt they were justified as Ziyad would have done the same and that it was neccessary to eliminate any hostile elements that could pose as a risk. Regardless of how the general public may have felt about these acts of cruelty, they were easily able to impress Chandra Banj Deo, the ruler of Jagdalpur. It impressed him to such an extent that he not only responded to Idris's demand for oaths of fealty by swearing allegiance to the occupier of Hyderabad, but Chandra raised his army and began marching toward Hyderabad as well, hoping to join up with Idris. Unfortunately for Chandra, he made the fatal mistake of openly announcing his treachery and thus before he could reach Hyderabad, his armies were intercepted by the forces of Warren Hastings that were returning from Masulipatnam. Meanwhile, the Thuggees of Maharashtra began to gradually transformed, shifting from a group of bandits to a proper organized crime group, dealing largely in the sale of opium and other narcotics now. The Thuggees did carry on their ritual sacrifices but they were now restricted to being performed upon criminals and other prisoners instead of the general public, a change that occured due to Haider granting the Thuggee's control over Maharashtra. There were, of course, a few vigilante Thuggees here and there but most of the Thuggee community (who were financial elites in Maharashtra) chose the easier method of following the system, instead of opposing it and possibly enraging not only the public but the Emperor as well. After all, this was an easy life of luxuries and enjoyment that did not interfere with their religious duties in any way. One wondered, what kind of a lunatic would opt to become a bandit on the run instead? And yet, there were some who did just that. If one had to describe Maharashtra in a few words, the correct term would probably be "mafia state". This general transformation happened simultaneously with the Thuggees dropping that name of theirs altogether due to its negative connotations. Instead, the term Shakta or alternatively Kali Shakta was taken up instead, symbolizing a shift toward the Shaktism sect of mainstream Hinduism. Of course, the drop in the use of Thuggee did not mean total abandonment. The Shaktas, as they were now called, did not plan on simply forgetting their beginnings nor their unique and distinct nature, therefore it was soon decreed that all the Shaktas had to take up the surname Kaliya, opting it over their caste or tribal name whilst the leader(s) of the Shakta's could adopt the title of Thag for themselves. The term Thag now was to serve as a reminder of their origin whilst simultaneously being synonymous with Lord, Boss or Kingpin as a mark of respect. In this way, the incumbent leader of the Shakta community went from being Behram Jamedar to Thag Behram Kaliya.
  • The Magadh Mahajanpada: The marketed surplus of rice, tea, coffee, tobacco, potatoes and groundnuts increases. Commercialization ensues as Magadhi firms compete for greater profits in agriculture and shipbuilding. Wages of labourers and incomes of farmers increases slowly but steadily. Consumption increases as a result bringing in higher profits for firms and the textile sector. The consumption of tea and coffee increases mainly in Kamroop. The shipbuilding industry receives a major boost. Requirements for boats increased, required for the transport of goods. A new firm set up by an enterprising merchant, starts the production of Merchantmen ships to navigate the Brahmaputra-Ganges system. Another firm in Sittwe starts the production of Trabakuls, importing designs from Britain, to transport goods over the Bay of Bengal. The irrigation projects started in 1788 are completed and bring about a huge increase in agricultural productivity, marketed surplus of various agricultural products skyrockets and more is now available to the export market. The newly opened canal system provides alternative routes for transport of raw materials and goods. The Salween River irrigation project starts, making use of water pumps for efficient irrigation. The demand for water pumps increases, used for irrigation and municipal water supply. To cope with the demand a foundry is set up in Hemgarh for the production of water pumps. A reorganization of the revenue system is done, organizing the nation into districts, each district having a revenue collection officer. With the irrigation projects completed, the Council decides to divert a large amount of resources toward infrastructure (land based) development. The Serai project gains momentum and is planned to be completed in six years time. The Paschimi Marg running from Patliputra to Kannauj starts construction and will be completed in two years time. The Strategic Defensive Area in the Shan states is completed. The Regional Trade Hubs start to expand, deriving the benefits of increased trade.
  • Mehican Empire: Settlers begin to move out of the states of Tejas and Grand California. This is done to gain new lands and new resources which became profitable because of the great amount of forts and palaces that are. These forts and palaces are Build to replace the some of the older buildings that have become obsolete after the independence. New rights are also made into laws about the differences states, territories and setlements and how they are divided and united. New convoys are also sent to the Hawaiians with many more diplomats and army generals and veterans. They ask the Hawaiians if they would like to have a formal ambassador in our nation and if we could have an ambassador in theirs (Hawaiian response). These diplomats bring news to the Hawaiians about the new declared Empire and the old Aztec empire. They also bring Christian ideals to the islands and how the Lord and his religion should be allowed. Guns also begin to be produced more and more in our lands which are bought by the army. These factories are at the moment small but enough to suply most of the infantry. With the cavalry not needing it due to their use of lances and swords. The Emperor also begins the plans to build a new palace in the capital of the nation and the former capital of california due to him coming from the region of the former capital. Export tariffs to British Arcadia are lowered to aid them gain less economic dependency on its motherland. This is also done with Imports to Arcadia wish are lowered to 25% of the British import tax. The export tax becomes becomes 50% of the tax that Britain has on British Arcadia.
    • Hawaiian Diplomacy: We welcome the envoys, and accept the offer to have ambassadors appointed although we inform the newcomers that the nation already follows Roman Catholicism.
    • Mehican Diplomacy: Our diplomats inform that we are not pagans but Roman Catholics ourselves. With most us even having elective power in the Vatican with a cardinal for Rome. Our diplomat also asks if the Hawaiians want to get military and civil without any cost except the recognition of our Empire itself.
    • Hawaiian Diplomacy: We accept this offer and formally recognize the Mehican Empire.
  • Salish Nation: Due to increasing Atlzan and Hawaiian influence, as well as a modernization programme brought under the rule of Alexander Suiattle, our nation continues to be thrust into the future. Our army conducts military drills in the Vancouver area, as well as in the Cascade mountains. We also Launch a second voyage to Hawaii, this one carrying a permanent diplomatic representative. Continuing Alexander's policy of exploration, an adventuring company is sent, under the leadership of one Vladimir Suiattle - Alexander's brother - with a mission to survey the lands to the east.
    • Hawaiian Diplomacy: The ambassador from the Salish is welcomed, and in exchange an ambassador is dispatched to the Salish.
  • Free Hungary: We continue our diplomatic and indirect support for Belka. A celebration is held for the new century, and a military parade takes place in the newly transferred capital of Budapest, Bathory attends the military parade as usual and looks overthe parade from a porch in a hotel, saluting the soldiers as they march by. The New Century sees a spark of popularity for Bathory, Ideas begin to sprout up in Hungary, new inventions are made such as the "Finger Violline" (OTL Guatar) and The "Clarinet" made by Hungarian inventors, the Government encourages this and pushes for more productivity to strengthen the economy. Bathory continues to strengthen Belkan-Hungarian ties and sends a diplomat to Belka requesting an economic alliance between the two nations. The education system is Devolped more, Children are now commonly taught to praise their nation, and to respect one another. Bathory introduces a policy called "One Nation, One Identity" which Basically means that all other Types of Hungarians will be treated the same, and other racial groups will be integrated into Hungarian culture and treated like Hungarians and will be Hungarians, Russians and Belkans are allowed to keep their identity and culture though as to keep up good ties with Belka and Russia. Authors are starting to pop up, one of them writes stories for children, his stories sell like a wildfire, parents claim that his stories are good "Bed Time Stories" and that it inspires young children to do good things. Hungary will continue to develop in culture and Ideas for the next decade or so...

VIVA BATHORY!!!

  • Jaffarid Sultanate: Neoclassicism becomes a staple of culture, with many drawing inspiration from the Abbasid Caliphate. Literature explodes, with mythical and fictitious novels being created and published by numerous publishing companies, of which had been created following the movement of money into more local, small businesses. Music that had been introduced into Circassia and Ganja from Russia very long ago has finally made its way into Damascus and Arabia itself, beginning another musical revolution, with popular music speaking about the "common man of Arabia", praising Allah, and the lower depths of thought and perception. Sultan Abdul Hamid, after going through many of the old papers of the Rashidun that had been stored within Damascus prior to their collapse, begins making the steps necessary to be able to re-establish relations with the Sultanate of Zayiyr, as well as successor states to the Mali Empire, them being Kaabu, Mane, and the Great Kulo. The diplomats sent carry the word of Islam, as well as the promise of wealth and power upon the returning of positive relations (Mod). General Asim II continues to lead the 200,000+ army that had been sent previously into Egypt a few years prior to siege Damietta. Although no information has been received about whether the siege was successful, many suspect it was. More fortresses are built alongside the Mediterranean and Eastern Rum as a means of stopping any possible invasion from being detrimental to Arabia.
  • Papal States: Pope Henry, on receiving the letter from Archbishop Garrick of Cologne, sends him a reply in which he condemns Bonaparte's violent overthrow of the government of the Rhineland, as well as the government's disregard for the ancient rights of the established rulers. In Rome, the sisters of the Prayerful Congregation of Our Lady of Pituba establish a college, the 'New World College, for seminarians and scholars from Arcadia and Laurentia to study and stay in whilst in Rome. Pope Henry gives his blessing to the new establishment, as well as praising the sisters for their tireless work in the New World. Missions continue, with special focus on the Zulu, Uluru, and New World missions. The military is expanded due to the uncertainty on the continent.
    • Hungarian Priest: In place of a secular delegation or diplomat to request this, I have been sent on the behalf of the Secullar authority of Free Hungary to request you, Pope Henry of God, to accept and recognize the New Bishop of Budapest and the new Constitution in Hungary, the bishop of Budapest is Wilhem Bathory, The Supreme Regent's Brother who has in the past served as a priest (We believe he held the job for 24 years until he was given the title of Bishop), so please your holyness, recognize our selected Bishop of Budapest and allow our Bishop to join the College of Cardinals. Goodbye Your Holyness, may god bless you *He kisses the pope's feet and leaves the Cathidral*
    • Papal Response: Seeing the clear faith of the Hungarians, Pope Henry confirms the appointment of Wilhelm Bathory as Bishop of Budapest, and raises him to the status of Cardinal.
  • Jin dynasty: The sudden death of the Jiaqing Emperor, suspected to be from another royal, triggers political upheaval among the royalty and the imperial court, and brings forth various succession issues. A grandiose funeral is held in Hanseong to mourn his passing. With the Jiaqing Emperor childless, his only child dying during childhood, his death leads to the ascension of his ten-year old nephew Kim Gong, who assumes the regnal name of the Chunzu Emperor. The Qianlong Emperor's second wife, Jeongsun of the Gyeongju Kim clan (distinct from the Hanseong Kim clan; the royal house), becomes the Empress dowager. A corrupt and extravagant leader, authority is mainly exercised by the Queen's twenty-four year-old brother, Prince Kim Salbeol. Kim Salbeol leads substantial military reform, laying a system of voluntary conscription with longer training regimens. However, this is only intended to be used for Korean elite troops, numbering at 50,000 troops at maximum. The bulk of the military (the Green Han Standard Army) still derives from feudal conscription. As the White Lotus Revolt simmers down, the Jinchuan hill peoples are exterminated and expelled from their ancestral homeland, with survivors fleeing north into Turkey or west into Tibet. Similar atrocities occur for the Miao, with Miao settlements burned to the ground and massacred. This triggers a huge Miao migration south, joining preexisting Hmong communities. Members of the White Lotus Movement are persecuted, with their leaders executed for treason. However, isolated pockets of resistance, mainly within fortified settlements and castles remain. General Piteo continues leading the Korean elite army in northwest China, pacifying Hui dissidents.
    • Nivkh Commandery: Tiger Pastries Inc., a subsidiary of Lady Lin Tea, continues to flourish as a business. The Nivkh Prince-Governor (which is the member of the Nivkh Ayzik branch of the House of Kim) continues to adopt Korean and Chinese architecture, paving roads to facilitate transport, and replacing wood and thatch roofing with stone bricks and clay tiles, respectively.
    • Sakha (protectorate): The Khan continues to adopt Korean and Chinese architecture, paving roads to facilitate transport, and replacing wood and thatch roofing with stone bricks and clay tiles, respectively. Siberian crab-apples become a local renowned fruit, and is particularly prized in Korea and northern China.
    • Xizang (protectorate): Lhasa, the capital, is expanded and modernized. The Tibetan clergy continues to administer the protectorate, with its leader, the Dalai Lama, being considered a vassal or substitute monarch. Many Tibetans are encouraged (via financial incentives) to become more sedentary, with food instead being supplied from nearby Sichuan (thereby reducing overreliance in inefficient herding).
    • North Mongolia: Yurt is further settled. A healthy aquiculture industry is established, harvesting and raising fish from the Baikal Lake.
  • Hawaii: Expansion and colonization continues across the Pacific. Settlements in Mamaopaena (Santa Cruz Islands) expand thanks to an increase in trade with the Tu'i Tonga Empire, Pohnpei, Japan, the Angu-Zia Union, and Uluru. We ask for a formal trade agreement with the Japanese, seeing that they are often one of the most popular destinations on the western edges of our trade routes. The Salish and Mehican ambassadors are welcomed in Honolulu, where embassies are constructed. The king becomes fond of interconnectedness with his neighbors, and asks to formally send ambassadors to the nations of Laurentia as well, including Brésil, Lé Dominioń Inca, and Argenta. A new constitution is written this year in order to reform the government of Hawaii to further mirror European styles of government. Specifically a legislature is created called the House of Nobles, consisting of all Hawaiian nobility and chieftains. The cabinet of the king is also expanded and formalized. Overall, however, absolute power remains in the hand of the king on all matters of legislature. In a similar attempt to westernize and modernize, the king orders the construction of a university in Honolulu. As well as act as a place for higher education of Hawaiians, the king also has a branch of the university dedicate itself to philosophical debates, sharing of knowledge, and intellectual discussions. He invites Hawaii's brightest thinkers, as well as some from Asia, Laurentia, Arcadia, and even Europe in order to immerse Hawaii in the "enlightenment" that swept across Europe a century prior. Expansion of the navy continues as planned, with the nation now operating several European-style brigs in its navy.
  • United Kingdom of Great Britain: It's a new century, the King dies of old age and is replaced by his son James I. Tariffs remain high on imports keeping Arcadia currently as Britain's main trading partner partner. To keep pushing up agricultural production more land is drained of water to access more farm lands. As part of mercantilism policies coal is taxed heavily if sold abroad. There is a continued growth in industry of textiles, iron manufacture and further construction of canals to allow the movement of raw materials such as coal and food. Completion of the first cast iron aqueducts, on the English canals. The mining of coal continues to raise in the north of England and Wales as pits grow larger while coal is moved from the canals to the factories of the midlands. Tea is bought over from China as something to ship on the return journey. The rise of the steam engine powers the coal mines pushing Britain to the lead in production while factories are also powered by them. Henry Maudslay develops the first industrially practical screw-cutting lathe, allowing standardisation of screw thread sizes for the first time, in London. The first design for a cast iron twin leaf swing bridge is produced by Ralph Walker for London Docks. Iron, cotton and other goods are all produced in new mills, factories and smelting plants. England has 7.9 million people and inside of that London has a population of 0.8 million, Wales has 0.7 million, Ireland has 5.5 million people and Scotland 1.5 million. The British army has 3000 in Portsmouth, 3000 in Aldershot, 2000 in Scotland, 3000 in Ireland while 2000 in Arcadia, 2000 in Casablanca, 1000 in English Maiam, 3000 in Haiti as well as 500 in St George, St Helena, New Canterbury and Bay of Kost. Criminals are deported to Arcadia. The navy has 50 ships in New London, Port-au-Prince and the remaining divided between Bristol and Portsmouth. Construction work on star forts continues in India in addition to the training and expansion of company run forces. 30,000 Sepoys are deployed in eastern Dehli while the fortress's continue to be worked on and more Sepoy are trained as soldiers perfecting the company army. The force with Ziyad continues fighting alongside him. The force in Egypt is withdraw due to a multitude of disasters but having learned a little bit. Events are rapidly unfolding in Germany and the British government ignore them fearful of angering the radicals within Britain. The new King in an attempt to calm tensions within Britain supports efforts to rework the boundaries taking into account population growth in cities. Government spending is reduced while the government increases regulation on food prices to keep them low and richer industrialists are taxed more appropriately gambling that struggles in Europe make them likely to maintain business. This allows the government to keep a steady budget.
    • Kingdom of Avalon, Iroquois and Savannah: The Apaches are settling down, the Kingdom of Avalon votes to create its own military to establish forts around the Great Lakes commissioning a full time force of 600 men to man three forts. Each of the three kingdoms maintain a free trade status with Britain while restrict trade to other European powers. The Kingdom of Iroquois expands 50 px west from Henry's land into OTL West Virginia The Kingdom of Avalon expands 50 px west toward Lake Superior. The winter is an issue as some crops produce less yields but with the market for cotton rapidly expanding this does not deter farmers from trying to get more farms and pushing westward in search of water. The three Kingdom's still rely on their militia because of the size of the lands they hold. The economies of the Kingdom rely on a series of different things with Savannah exporting a lot of fruit, sugar and cotton while Iroquois grow tobacco, cotton and large herds while Avalon still does larger amounts of fishing as well as staple crops. The population of Avalon is 0.8 million, Iroquois has 2.1 million and Savannah has 1.9 million.
    • Illinois Dip: We send Green Sparrow to the nearest British fort and tell him to ask the brits to come to Illibuck to talk trade and other things

Muhammed Ali's make a push to re-inforce the besieged forces within Alexandria with 25,000 soldiers, hoping to tactically surround the Belkan invaders by pushing them into the center of the City. Meanwhile Local Garriosons, affialted with Muhammed Ali's Army, establish governance cities along the Nile Delta, such as Port Said, Desouk, Tanta and Abusir, to prevent their capture buy opposing enemy forces such as Belka. The newly formed Egyptian Navy establishes a large blockade led by Tusun Ali, Muahmmed Ali's son, blocking enterence into the Nile. The Cabinet of Queen Fawzia hire three assasins to assasiante the Governor of Belka and General Brusinov, with Muhhmaed Ali keeping these as Secondary Goals. A Proclomation directly from the Queen Fawzia declares every single Egyptian, whether Coptic, Jewish, Muslim or other will be rewarded greatly if they join Muhammed Ali's Army, leading to a massive surge in the local Garrisons called "The Commoners Army" ( الجيش المشترك). Queen Fawzia, under the advise of the majority of her cabinet, calls upon the Sudanese Tribes to unite with Egypt as of there common Arabic and Islamic Culture. (MOD). Poems and Liteature begin to relent on the misery of War, death in the name of Freedom and other more dark topics. Despite this however Cairo, one of the centers and arguably the capital of the Arab World, booms in music, literature, mainly peddled by the Social Elite. The Upper Classes of Cairo themselves slowly begin reformation. The Populations booms to 12.3 million.

A band of creole warriors on horses known as the Legion of Hell begin terrorizing rural towns in New Granada. The Colony is largely in chaos as Royalists clash with the Junta. Several Creoles also begin rising up against their white oppressors, fearing that the independence the Junta wants would just be an extension of Iberian Colonialism. Several African workers revolt in plantations around the colony. Most soldiers have deserted and the colony is in general chaos.
    • Uluru Dip: **Uluru Dip: We do not recognize this imprisonment in our soverign territory, as it violates the Treaty of Ngarridjeri, and as such the Emperor orders the military to break the arrest of the Iberian monarch and hand him over to the Ganadan royalists.
      • Granada Response: The Iberian Monarch quickly gains support among the nobles in New Granada and the Royalist-Creole Alliance gains control of Panama, Coastal Colombia and Ecuador.
    • Mehican Diplomacy: Our diplomats and Generals offer the Novo Granadians full military and economic aid if they want to. With military aid meaning an army force of 10,000 soldiers and Economic aid meaning cheap resources and materials for building own military equipment. If in return our can get the Panama Isthmus as a lend for 100 years and one that can be extended.
      • New Granada Response: The Legion of Hell and other Creole forces accept the help of the Mehicans, establishing a strong presence in Panama and the Royalists ally with them for the moment.
      • Mehican Diplomacy: We agree to send help the great Granadian cause and we even propose a dual monarch (like OTL PLC) where the Granadians can use all resources and weaponry that they need for stability.
  • Tui Tonga Empire: As a new century begins, our nation advances quicker than ever before. Our nation’s flag now is waved across all government centers and is treated extremely patriotically. Marketplaces begin to shift away and be replaced by shopping districts with produce and raw materials leaving what is left of the market streets and shopping districts becoming more of a common use, retail companies arise quicker with companies for producing cloth for sale and distribution at fancy shops across Viti Levu. With this becoming more of a case, the demand for an established currency grows. This new currency which was already in development since Japanese discovery has begun to be produced in our first of three royal mints, each of which exist in the main territories of the empire but the first completed construction late this year opening up on the island of Tonga in Mua while the last two are constructed in the largest city in the empire and capital, Suva. Valleys become cleared out across the river to be used for agricultural purposes with our first generation of foreign produce being grown. As our ship designer stays in Japan doing research, our ports are upgraded to supply the demand of goods. 100 new Tongan ships are built this year as well. With our new house of elders being used this year, a new idea is brought up to the king to make a house of representatives with 400 seats being opened with a representative from each provincial area in the nation. With this, 50 ships are sent out east to explore and reach many more areas such as OTL Cook Island a bunch of our people (Polynesians) on our journey to reach Mehico where five diplomats landed in Central America to meet and greet representatives of the Aztlan government and leader to discuss diplomatic relations and more (Player Response)but during the journey we were attacked by a Polynesian kingdom when one of our ships were stormed and faced the wrath of arrows which kill three and injure 20. Five of the attackers were held captive. This leads to war breaking out with the empire against a small Kingdom in OTL French Polynesia. Livestock is more commonly introduced and are killed for consumption and reproduction. Horses also make their way over from Japan and begin to be used as well with the help of Japanese horse trainers. Speaking of horse training, helmets are created for our military as well. Guns and a variety of rifles and flintlock weapons begin to be adopted by the Japanese for militaristic use and are being taught to the entire army with about three guns per person. With high influence from the Japanese and us ourselves needing protection, our king meets with Japanese officials to discuss our nation becoming a Japanese Protectorate in order to protect ourselves from other stronger powers and to also push our development. Roads and streets become mostly stone. Clothing is worn by just about everyone. Shoes and sandals become worn by just about everyone. Irrigation for farming spreads rapidly across the nation for maintained fruitful harvests. Eight more universities are opened across the empire. This university system evolves into one university district know as the Royal Tongan Universities. Physicists and Philosophers become more common from these schools for example one of our greatest Tongan physicist, Alzi Kop begins theorizing the use of electricity after learning Japanese and studying Japanese writings from books that had came from Europe. The first drama theatres are built across Suva and Mua for plays hosted by Japanese Directors and Tongan Directors to make a coalition of Tongan dance. One of which are sold out that discuss a love story with a Prince from Tonga and a Japanese women who fall in love but are separated after her return to Japan where they reunite after ten years of being separated. This becomes one of the best reviewed plays. Printing presses become a common use fro book and literature production. An Astrology Institute is opened up by one of our Astrology graduates who is  named Havi Rapu and named the organization the Astrology Club of Tonga. He during his research with several other students in the University of Suva using the telescope discovers a heavenly body and names it Maui after one of the Tongan gods. His work and studies are then published and sent to japan to report the news. A yearly meeting is held in the Houses of Elders.

  • Firstly just so you know the Cook Islands and French Polynesia are owned by Hawaii. Also most of this is way way implausible. You're a tribal nation in the western Pacific with very little technology, and you're sailing to Central America (against the winds/currents), Japan, and all these other places, creating a representative government, creating a "astrology club", adopting guns and horses, and discovering electricity.
    • A lot of the above is true. You are moving way too fast. This is the stuff of decades. Take a strike.
    • I apologise for my mistakes and will try to revise my turn to the best of my ability. The fact about me heading east to Cook Islands and French Polynesia are justifiably becoming interested in it and thinks it should be used (as it should have been around for the last 20 or so years). Adopting Guns and Horses are coming from Japan as well. They are not mastered yet as I did not say they were mastered. Currently they are just there to be there for the time being which would take several years to prefect the usage of horses. My nation is not tribal either, it was an established empire for the last several centuries. It also had a system similiar to that of the Roman Empire and china as well. Also, I was not going against the currents either. My going eastward is theoretically possible as I'd get caught with the Equatorial Current after being taken by the South Pacific Gyre. From there I could simply land in Mehico. From there, I could take the Northern Equatorial Current back to the South Pacific Gyre and I could get back. I've been connected with Japanese technology for a little while now so I'd think I would be able to have the knowledge of this as well. I will begin revisions sometime later today.
    • You are nothing like the Roman Empire or China, believe me I'm the person who brought Tonga into this game. Going to Polynesia/Cook Islands, isn't justified by being interested in them; you don't even know they exist necessarily, and as I said you'd have a hard time getting to them anyway. As for guns and horses maybe it's not impossible for you to get them, but I don't recall the Japanese player saying he gave you any, so it seemed like you just decided you had them now. As I said before you are very tribal. You might want to do some research into your nation, there's a page on Wikipedia. For starters the Tongans were constantly at war with Samoa, and only recently did Samoa actually conquer the Tongans, so you have a fairly unstable nation/occupation going on. You have very primitive technology, just like most tribes in the region. Also you'd definitely be going against the winds and the currents. If you're going to claim to be using those ones then you wouldn't be running into the Cook Islands or French Polynesia anyway. The northern one you referenced doesn't even go anywhere near Tonga, and the southern one runs east of New Zealand. All together though it begs the question of how/why you are trying to contact Mehica when you don't even know they exist. And no where does it say you have Japanese technology, or had it for a long period of time, you've only even been posting for like a few days.

1801

In Newfoundland, the former king and Bread Lord Esteban Cuelho, are in exile together. They spend much time discussing the philosophy of the revolution and reach a political middle ground. Together they plot their escape and plan to return to Iberia to take back control of the nation together.

Egypt continues to fight Belka, having pushed them all the way to the coast. Fighting continues in the Nile River Delta as Belka continues to send ships and continue to try to land. Thanks to the help of their allies Egypt is able to break the blockade and resume shipping in and out of Alexandria.

The Chunzu Emperor also dies!

Bathory's radical ideas gain him many enemies in high society, as nobles and Bathory's military advisors conspire to overthrow him in a coup.

Ambassadors from the Holy Roman Empire come to meet with Napoleon and ask him to consider reuniting the HRE with the Rhineland League by electing the emperor to be the Kaiser. He rejects this notion and sends them away. However, the night before they are about to leave, an assassin enters Napoleon's chambers at night and attempts to kill him. Napoleon overpowers his attacker and kills him with his own weapon. His guards arrest the HRE ambassadors and they confess that they were sent to kill him because the emperor is scared of him. Napoleon has them sent back with the message that he is declaring war on the HRE. All of it. He swiftly conquers the HRE states nearest to the Rhineland League and promises to capture Prussia soon. Napoleon stuns the enemy with tactics and strategies they have never seen before, utilizing ideas he first introduced in Iberia and Egypt.

  • Empire of Dravidia (Ziyad): The Siege of Tanjore continued on as the military surrounded the city, cutting off all food and water supplies whilst simultaneously preventing anyone from exiting the city. The Dravidian artillery units were deployed at strategic positions surrounding the city in order to viciously bombard its fortifications without coming under retaliatory fire by the defenders. This standstill and occassional artillery fire would continue for months and months on end before the Dravidians under Ziyad would carry on their assault only to be repulsed, starting the standstill once more. Meanwhile, as this siege went on, Warren Hastings decisively crushed the Jagdalpur forces at the Battle of Suryapet, killing the Raja Chandra Banj Deo and his entirely family whom he had brought along to meet with Emperor Idris. Thus, in just a single battle, one of the greatest dynasties of Jagdalpur met its end. With the battle won, Warren diverted a small force to occupy the city of Jagdalpur and prop up a puppet whilst he personally began marching upon Hyderabad. As news of the battle reached Idris, he became frightened at the prospect of facing the same fate as Chandra and therefore fled the city, murdering all of Ziyad's children before he did so. In this manner, Warren was able to eventually take over Hyderabad bloodlessly just as he had lost it in the first place. As for Idris, he retreated with his supporters to the city of Pune, hoping to secure Marathi aid and left his son, Ilyas Khushal Agran at Gulburga to attract the attention of Warren. The plan was quite simple, Warren would be baited into laying siege to Gulburga, allowing Idris and his new Maratha allies to swarm in from the undefended north. Unfortunately for Idris, this plan was only partially successful. Whilst Warren did fall for the trap and marched his army to Gulburga, the Marathas on the other hand refused to support Idris and imprisoned him instead. Little did Idris know that the ruler of Maharashtra, Mahadaji Shinde had already declared his allegiance to House Agran of Tanjore, having been convinced to do so by the devious Gangadhar Rao. When word of Gangadhar's treachery reached Ziyad, he had Gangadhar replaced with Mahadaji's brother, Prithviraj Shinde as the Grand Vizier. Unfortunately, it was a futile move at dividing the Northern Maratha's who were now strongly behind Shiraz. Within a fortnight of Mahadaji's declaration, he had assembled the Maratha army under the command of Gangadhar Rao who began marching out of Maharashtra, swiftly defeating Warren's subsidiary forces at the Battles of Beed, Latur and Naded before laying siege to Nizamabad. The situation became so dire that Warren had to end his Siege of Gulburga, retreating with his forces back to Hyderabad before he could march upon Nizamabad to lift the siege. Unfortunately for the royalists, if the situation seemed pretty bad already, they had no clue what was coming next. In the South, Sambhaji Rao's grandnephew, Ranoji Rao, a member of the esteemed and influential Tamil-Marathi Rao family and the commander of a force prepared to relieve the Siege of Tanjore took over the city of Madurai instead and declared himself Chhatrapati (equivalent of King or Emperor) Ranoji Rao Maharaj of the Tamilakam Maharajya, a Hindu Rajya of sort that was to constitute of the ancient territories of the Chola, Chera and Pandya Nadus during the age of the Three Crowned Kings. It was essentially a Hindu Tamil break-away state and soon after declaring their independence, Ranoji Rao began marching toward Coimbatore. In an almost synchronized manner, Sambhaji Rao's great grandson (through Ganpati), Sambhaji started a massive uprising in Southern Maharashtra and took power in the city of Satara, proclaiming himself Chhatrapati Sambhaji Rao II and selecting Jagdish Kumar as his Peshwa. This Southern Marathi uprising was different from the Northern one in the sense that the Rao's were fighting for the establishment of a Hindu Maratha Rajya whilst the Shinde fought to place Shiraz Shah on the throne. Due to their similar motives and dynastic ties, Chhatrapati Ranoji and Chhatrapati Sambhaji II agreed to form an alliance against their common enemies. Wasting little time, Sambhaji sent letters to the Maratha Princes, calling upon them to swear allegiance to him. Sambhaji was, of course, well aware that he had to display a show of strength first and thus, he started off his having his vigilantes and supporters carry out attacks upon the Kali Shakta community, slaughtering hundreds of those residing throughout Maharashtra and forcing thousands to flee to Kalipur. Unfortunately for the Shaktas, they were followed right to their sacred city's doorsteps as the Marathas under Sambhaji laid siege to the city. As Sambhaji had expected, the response to his persecution of the Shaktas was outpouring as hundreds of thousands of people began flocking toward him, personally offering oaths of fealty at Satara. His popularity reached such an extent that the Shinde's of the North found it increasingly difficult to keep their forces loyal as many began defecting toward Sambhaji. Unfortunately, the massacre of the Shaktas wasn't great news for everyone and upon hearing of it, Thag Behram Kaliya had to leave the encampments at Tanjore to aid his community against those that had besieged Kalipur. Of course, while Sambhaji was quite popular, it did not mean that everyone welcomed his leadership and this included the Sardar of Kolhapur, Raghoji Bhonsle who had his own aspirations to control Maharashtra, regardless of whether it was within or independent of the Dravidian Empire. The Peshwa, Jagdish Kumar tried to bribe Raghoji at first but when that failed, he resorted to coercion. What that too did not persuade the unwilling vassal, Sambhaji gave up all such attempts and tried to have Raghoji assassinated instead. Unfortunately for Sambhaji, the assassin was caught and when word of Sambhaji's underhanded methods reached the city of Nagpur, its ruler Rambaji Bhonsle declared war upon both Sambhaji and Mahadaji, accusing the latter of secretly supporting the former's attempts at wiping out the Bhonsles. To an outside observer, this declaration of war would seem extremely odd, perhaps even outright confusing. The belief that Mahadaji's supported Sambhaji evidently had no truth to it, it was surely a false allegation, and it came as no surprise that Rambaji was well aware of it all. The allegations were simply excuses by Rambaji to invade Maharashtra, having always wanted to secure the domination of the Bhonsles in that region and now that an opportunity had presented itself, he wasn't going to simply let it go.
Internal demand for cotton and silk textiles rises. The consumption of tea and coffee increases as it becomes widely available across the nation. Shipyards expand with Hemgarh, Chittagong and Sittwe being the main centres of the shipbuilding industry with Rangoon and Paradwip also at the forefront. More karkhanas open up in the regional trade hubs for the manufacture of cotton and silk textiles. These karkhanas are owned by master artisans. Lacking good quality steel, the Hemgarh foundry had not been able to keep up with the demand. To cope with the demand, a steel mill is set up in Hemgarh, conveniently located near Hemgarh iron ore deposits with coal being transported from Raniganj by the Damodar River. New employment opportunities are generated in the port cities and the regional trade hubs, people start moving to the cities, selling their lands in the villages. These people are mostly small farmers who have not been able to benefit from increased trade in agricultural products. Municipal Councils are set up by the order of the Council for each of the regional trade hubs and other major cities. Lending houses and small banks come up in the major cities as a banking system starts to develop, led by the National Bank. Vajrayana Buddhism continues to spread in the tribal regions. Vajrayana Buddhist missionaries reach Central India and start preaching Vajrayana Buddhism there. Advaita Vedanta movements spring up in Banten. Coal mining expands to Bokaro and Jharia. Iron Ore mining begins in Jharia. The Council invests a large amount of money in the construction of a Strategic Defensive Area on the border with Thailand. Work on the road network continues. Contracts are awarded to Magadhi firms to clear up forests and settle the virgin land, expanding production of agricultural products. Major land clearance projects are started in Kamroop, Northern Magadh and Central and Northern Burma. Irrigation work on the Salween river was delayed due to lack of pumps. General Dhananjay Rana and his troops continue to fight in the South for Emperor Ziyad.
  • Jin dynasty: The sudden death of the young Chunzu Emperor causes massive political upheaval after the consecutive deaths of three monarchs. Usurping the throne, Empress dowager Kim Jeongsun begins to purge all political dissidents and freezing imperial examination and directly appointing her officials. She brutally represses the Chinese adherents of Catholicism, though is tolerant of the Eastern-rite Church as they incorporate Confucian doctrines and practices. She also encourages the persecution and lynching of the the Hui. With the support of loyalist disenfranchised aristocrats, Prince Kim Salbeol gathers much of the Korean Elite Army and Green Han Standard troops and lead them to an armed revolt based in Manchuria. Utilizing fortifications and artillery, he manages to ward off feudal conscripts sent in by the Empress dowager, many of whom defect en-masse and join his cause. The Prince claims himself to be the legitimate heir to the throne, and assumes the regnal title as the "Kangxi Emperor". The White Lotus Rebellion has been fully pacified, as well as the brief Hui revolt. General Piteo declares his allegiance for the Kangxi Emperor, leading even his former enemies, the Hui, into a long march east to capture settlements lining the Yangtze River basin, therefor depriving the central government of tax revenue from its southern provinces. In midst of this chaos, advanced agricultural and agromanagerial methods are encouraged, and families are encouraged to cease cultivating cash crops and animal husbandry in-order to pool their resources into the cultivation of grain, in order to avoid a famine. In Zaihaibian, settlers fleeing turmoil in the mainland pour in the colony. Due to the demands of a higher population, Nangang and Suolong expand.
    • Papal Diplomacy: The Papal Nuncio to the Jin expresses his utter shock at the new government's brutal repression of the not-insignificant Catholic minority, especially given the history of peaceful co-existence.
  • Free Hungary: Bathory Establishes a Secret Police force, which Listen in on private Military Meetings, they report it to Bathory which causes for a purge in the military, the Judical Branch is Cleansed of the military and is replaced by Republican Lawyers, Bathory Begins to establish a Political Party to extend his authority over the country further, Bathory attempts to crush feudalism and calls for all "Nobles" to go to a local bank and review with a government official the nobles new Role in society, he hops that the nobles can talk with him to discuss the future of Hungary. Due to pressure from republicans about Having a Monarchist name such as "Regent" Bathory calls for the constitution to call the Bathory's Positioon to be renamed "Prime Minister" and declares himself "Prime Minister Of Hungaria" but still by law represents the Monarchy in exile. Bathory Implaces old time Friends in the Army in the places of the old traterious ones, Bathory Establishes a new party inside government called "The Party of The Republic" and Many Sign up, new government officials replace old ones not coordinating with Bathory, the veterans in the Central Council of Affairs is replaced by more trust worthy ones. Bathory Almost has Complete control over Hungary, now with a political party that is still overall controlled by him. The Hungarian government is more Stable and Centralized. Guns and supplies are sent over to Belka to aid them in their war. Bathory publicly condems Napoleon's Recent Revolution in The Rhineland, and announces that his actions won't go unoticed.
    • I don't understand why/how issues of the world's creation would be in any way controversial given it's 1801 ... ~Cal
  • Illinois Confederation: Three Crows has his first  birthday, he brings new luck since the corn and buckwheat come in  tons, we decide to secretly steal from animals and other food from nearby French lands, they are a family of Welsh Baptists Missionaries to settled near Illbuck to spread the gospel, Silver Lynx converts along get three crow baptised sliver lynx takes the english name Elijah Morgan but only use that name around whites  we raise 400 more warriors along with expanding 30 px south (Rolla MO).
Sultan Abdul Hamid, after going through many of the old papers of the Rashidun that had been stored within Damascus prior to their collapse, begins making the steps necessary to be able to re-establish relations with the Sultanate of Zayiyr, as well as successor states to the Mali Empire, them being KaabuMane, and the Great Kulo. Diplomats are also sent to Ndongo, Zulu, and the one location that Swahili had gone to many years prior (Uluru). The annexation of the Sublime State of Persia is nearly finished. To properly balance this, a new constitution is drafted, dividing Persia and Arabia themselves into many smaller regions that have small amounts of power within the National Assembly, which in turn is meant to be a successor to the House of Jaffar. Each region will have two representatives that will come to the Official Arabian-Iranian Conference held every 27 Rajab, or the Isra and Mi'raj. The two representatives will be elected within the region, have specific requirements for running for representative as specified in the constitution. They must be 30 years old, having been a natural born citizen of the region of which they want to represent, and must also have been living in the region for a minimum of five years. Although much of the constitution is based off of our enemy Belka, Sultan Abdul Hamid see's the logistical aspect of a republican federation and how it balances power between smaller governments and the national government, as well as it not giving one direct person the entire power. Sultan Abdul Hamid offers the Ecumenical Rashidun Caliphate an enclave in Damascus so that the Caliph can continue his religious ruling in the Middle East while continuing his living in Cairo. A proper meeting is held between the Sultan and Osman Osman. The conference goes through the relations between the Middle East and Anatolia. Because of wanting a more centralized and powerful buffer state than the Sultanate of Rum, Sultan Abdul offers Osman Osman a plan to create a nation that unites Anatolia under one official jurisdiction. The plan would unite Eastern Anatolia, Pontus, the territory ruled by Osman Osman, Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, Circassia, Ganja, Shirvan, Azerbaijan, Hamid, Beyshehir, and Tekke. Although the civil war continues within Pontus, Sultan Abdul takes steps to ensure this plan could work if needed, beginning the slow movement of troops from Azerbaijan and Ganja, while keeping troops in Shirvan and Circassia to face a possible second invasion from Russia. The nation of Cyprus, which had been somewhat put in the back of Arabia's mind, is offered to join a secret post-war alliance that has been in the works prior to the Russian invasion of Shirvan. The plan, which is only entitled Union for the moment, would lay out an economical, cultural, military, and open border relations between the Arab-Muslim nations that were a part of the Rashidun Caliphate at its height. The Sultan awaits a response (Mod).
    • The Caliph accepts the offer of Damascus. Cyprus accepts. Osman Osman is unsure because he does not want to have ethnic minorities in his nation, only Anatolian Turks.
  • Mehican Empire: The Emperor Declares full support for The Novo Granadian cause. 10,000 soldiers are sent to their nation and the Royal Navy is send to the coast To make sure no Loyalists to Iberia will go back to their lands but instead be punnished by military court. Roads are also constructed in the new lands of California to get better supplies to the central Mehican regions. During it, a miner finds some nice gems which he is unknown to. He asks a local mineralogist "What money can I could get for the stone?" and the Minerologist Carlo Ruz Christiano said "Comrade, you do not know what you have found. This is gold. Where did you find it, my friend?" The local miner just named Pino replies "I found it near the new road constructions, close to a new corn farm". This news of Pino finds is after only five days in local news and after two weeks in state news with goverment officials visiting the men and giving him the "Golden cross of the Pino Order" which is named after his findings which is meant to celebrate people who find riches in the name of Mehico. After the visit of officials the news spread like fire and it got into National new after only 1.5 weeks and it get know even in baricano after six weeks after the news of Pino was originally known in hist village. On Royal decree Officers must punish all pilliging in Novo Granada and they Must never attack an unarmed citizen but must indeed help him if he is in need of help. Forts are also build and lands are expanded south of the pueblo and in California. With the army encountering many creole and african slaves in Novo Granada they get news of the Proclamation of Emancipation he says" Eu, o imperador Moctezuma Raul Augusthino Diltwa I proclamam a emancipação dos escravos em Nova granada e em todos os estados mehicanos como uma ordem real para assegurar a liberdade e a liberdade de todo homem na Terra. ("I, Emperor Moctezuma Raul Augusthino Diltwa I proclaim the  of emancipation for the slaves in New Granada and in all Mexican states as a royal order to ensure the freedom and liberty of all man on earth."). With this proclamation, it's hoped many slaves of Nova Granada will choose to fight for "a união de trabalhadores separatistas, camponeses e nobres do governo provisório de Novo Granada" ("the union of separatist workers, peasants and noblemen of the provisional government of Novo Granada.")
  • Illinois Confederation Dip: Our rider, Brush Fire, has found a Mehican border he rides in and ask for water after drinking it he ask to get a diplomat to come back to is home to discuss trade and other such things.
    • Mehican Diplomacy: We will be willing to discuss friendship and trade to the Illinois Confederation.
  • New Granada: The Mehican Military marches across Panama to meet up with several Creole Rebels. The Army marches into Bogota to attempt to capture it, but fail as the Bread Junta and citizens of the city see them as Invaders attempting to annex New Granada. This results in a protracted siege until Mehican Food Supplies are burnt by bandits from the Legion of Hell. Several Creole Spies operating as Indentured Servants in Bogota kill several members of the Junta and cause the others to flee. The Mehican Forces, tired and hungry, march into the city and restock their supplies. With the dissolution of the Bread Junta, the loyalists become extremely decentralized and are defeated by the rebels, but the fight is far from over. Bandits still roam the land, Afro-Granadians continue to revolt, and the Royalists, under the Iberian Monarch, finally break from the Creoles and establish control over Ecuador. They ask Peru for help repelling Mehican forces (Mod Response).
    • Mehican Diplomacy: Our diplomats ask the anti-royalist forces and leaders if they would if our army prescence would become bigger with to become 25,000 soldiers. We ask in return for this aid that they from a provisional goverment which we call "the union of separatist workers, peasants and noblemen of the provisional goverment of Novo Granada". This would unify all separatists and make descussions for how the State should be and how to deal with people loyal to the Iberian crown.
      • Provisional Republic of New Granada: The Provisional President of the Republic allows the Mehicans to send in as many troops as they want. This causes an uproar among the populace as they fear New Granada will become a puppet or be annexed by Mehica. This causes a large amount of soldiers and supporters of the provisional government to break off and side with the Royalists (the Royalists Support the Former Iberian monarch that was in Australia, not the current one).
        • Mehican Diplomacy: Our Emperor himself comfirms that Novo Granada will be completely independent from Mehico and that this military intervension is just to secure the stability in its land and to decreate a goverment for the representation in Novo Granada. He also ensures that pillaging soldiers will be punished.
  • Tui Tonga Empire: While establishment of Moana continues, the leader of the Moanans is invited to take a seat in the House of Elders. In the meantime, Agricultural production intensifies as Coconuts begin to be harvested and used across the islands. As our shipbuilder stays in Japan working on designs for future tongan ships, 50 more are built. Land is cleared out for Sugar Cane production for the Japanese and whoever is willing to trade with us. Tobacco is introduced into Moana for growing purposes to be used for medicinal purposes and religious rituals. it will be used for sale and distribution on markets and will be used as an attempt to create economic worth in Moana and put the island’s large size into good use. This creates hundreds of jobs and begins to slowly yet quickly grow our nation’s wealth. We look eastward to Moana to two distinct islands offshore for new prospects in the future. Revampment of homes continues onward with tiles and bricks being implemented to new homes as a new standard. More roads are created as well to make up pathways for merchants. A merchant named Boku Pahala begins to attempt to sell dried tobacco cigars to Japanese men and visitors who fine these quite enjoyable causing a growth in production of cigars and tobacco. We’d like to finally welcome and embrace Japan with open arms and become a protectorate in order to increase our levels of relation and gain protection  Our river near the capital of Suva expands in size and population with the valleys surrounding the river being used for Sugar Cane Growth after the Japanese officials found out about it and said it was a highly prized plant around the world. Our Catholic population continues to stay small but increase after a church was opened on Somoa.

    • Why would you be trying to become a protectorate of another nation, especially one you just met and have brief contact with?
    • I'd just like to say that What is wrong with inceasing business and increasing the amount of searossing canoes i have. I'd also like to say that it was never brief contact. I don't call several years of contact brief nor several years of technologial development brief either. It is almost as if you are nickpicking at every little thing that you could possibly do? what's next really? It has since all i'm doing is nothing to do with your interest either and im doing it just to gain protection against foriegn invasion and gain better relations with the Japanese. I don't know how many times i have to say that im not that underdeveloped. It is almost if you want it to seem that way when it is not. All I request is when there is actually something wrong then mae it known. Nothing that i've done in the turn was wrong and i made it clear to some other moderators as well and they found this turn ok. I'm trying to have fun in this game and it seems like no one wants that because these last few days have been quite stressful and now i feel like i can't even play anymore due to the slightest wording being taken the wrong way or not being supported at all.
  • Papal States: Pope Henry is privately intensely furious with the stupidity of the Holy Roman Empire delegates. Publically, however, his ire is directed against Napoleon and his lust for conquest. The conquests of the Napoleonic Rhineland are denounced as invalid, and the states of the Empire are exhorted to fight back with all available strength. The Pope also expresses his outrage that Hungary has significantly lessened the role of the Church, although thanks God that it is still allowed to exist freely. Missions continue.

  • Mehican Diplomacy: Our Diplomats in Rome ask for papal support to help abolish slavery in Novo Granada. If this becomes successful we will allow all slaves cityzien rights and the right of minor representation in our own nation.

    • Papal Diplomacy: The Pope says that, given the Papacy's constant opposition to slavery in the New World since Pope Adrian VI's 1541 letter Dilexit Deus, the Mehicans have his full support in abolishing slavery.

    • Hungarian Dip. We remind the Pope that not everyone in Hungary is Christian, and that To make it balanced and to prevent revolution, Christianity does not play a role in Hungary, and Other religious groups will feel equal in Hungary, the state will continue support of the Hungarian Catholic Church and fund it as usual, just not be as influenced by it.
    • God reminds Hungary that pretty much everyone in Hungary is Christian. Like, a lot. Bigly.
    • Bathory: Bathory praises back to god thanking him for reminding him and loosens up on secularity.
  • United Kingdom of Great Britain: This conflict in the HRE is like nuts but it's an internal HRE matter currently and no one is asking for help. Some minor grumblings about liberty and such but rather than being confronted they are ignored. Tariffs remain high on imports keeping Arcadia currently as Britain's main trading partner partner. Aware that high tariffs are pushing up grain prices and now that Iroquois has opened itself up tariffs on grain are reduced allowing more competitive pricing. The Tories dislike the policy but the Whigs under the new boundaries push it through. First patent for the Fourdrinier continuous paper machine in England. The first iron (chain) suspension bridge is built by James Finley at Jacob’s Creek in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
The population of Avalon is 0.8 million, Iroquois has 2.2 million and Savannah has 2.0 million. Eli Whitney demonstrates before the United States Congress the advantages of the system of interchangeable parts in the manufacture of firearms to the Royal society. Iroquois votes to open trading with other nations fully.
      • Illinois Dip: We send Green Sparrow to the nearst british fort and tell him to ask the brits to come to Illibuck to talk trade and other things
  • Hawaii: Tongan ships attack our possessions and protectorates in Polynesia, and are also spotted near the Cook Islands (as per their turn). As a result we have no choice but to defend against the attack. After which an invasion of Tonga itself is launched in order to pacify this threat and return prosperity to the Southern Pacific. While the natives appear to possess some outdated guns and other weapons, the Hawaiian military, which possesses far greater experience and discipline, as well as competance with guns, after decades of training, manages to outnumber and overwhelm them. A blockade is launched using our dozen or so European-style brigs, which also bombard coastal towns in Tonga. The Tongans, with no large ships or cannons to speak of, are unable to counter this. With the blockade in place a more conventional invasion is launched using war canoes launched from the nearby Cook Islands and Santa Cruz Islands to capture the islands. (Note this is backed up by an algorithm.) We make sure not to disrupt any foreign trainers, including the Japanese, and likewise alert the Japanese to this move after the fact. We point out that we have been trading and on friendly terms with Japan for decades, and that this move is only in retaliation for their attack against us, and will not negatively impact them.
    • The move was wrong, i could'nt have done anything there and that turn was scrapped completely and striked. If you'd like to go to war with me, so be it. I'm just saying that basically it was a wrong move that was striked and also i had no awareness over your claims. Hope yo understandand if you go to war, you are the ne provoking me in this case. For some reason the turn was not crossed out but that is besides the point now. Also I have no guns yet if you decide to continue with your war campaign. - Adolf
    • You cannot falsely invent a war unless you acknowledge that your premise is false.
      • I didn't invent the war, he said he attacked those places in his previous turn.
    • 'I was wrong okay. I'm just requesting forgiveness from any miscommunication. As you could see for my turn this year (which was originally going to replace the messed up one but was too late) showed nothing about war. I never wanted war with you. I just wanted to expand but i was being too fast and foolish and i acknowledge that wrongdoing. I just want for this whole situation to die down and i appreciate you taking it into consideration. - 'Adolf
  • United Empire of Brésil: This year a new law is signed into place by the Emperor and Grand Deputy Nicollier that places the maintenance and jurisdiction of the roads throughout Brésil into federal hands instead of local municipalities. This also gives the government the right to create tolls on any road. To finance maintenance a few major toll roads are made in between large cities. Certain undisclosed roads are revamped to allow for increased army movements. Another act that is made to increase revenue is small excise taxes on tobacco, whiskey, and rum. Duties are slightly increased on foreign goods to foster local businesses and generate revenue for the Empire. Nicollier orders a census for the population that will take place by the end of this year. With the backing of Nicollier, the Emperor writes a letter to the Iberian government requesting that they surrender the disputed territory west of Brésilian borders, and pay the Brésilian government reparations for the atrocities committed in the Franco-Iberian Wars of 1648, or there will be consequences (mod response).
    • The Iberians laugh at Bresil for bringing up a centuries-old matter and says no. -s
  • Belkan Federation: Seeing the writing on the wall and the inability of the Vozdh to handle the war brings in the thought that this initial venture to Egypt was ill advised. General Brusilov is also found extremely sick. This leads to the final call, The Belkan invasion of Egypt will end and the armies will return home. Under this realization the Navy is mobilized in a way unheard of intending to evacuate all the soldiers. Damietta undergoes a massive evacuation and the fortification of all sorts are dismantled. the Evacuation of the remaining 130,000 troops leaves a power vacuum with many highly militant populations that were pro-Belka left behind to harass and hurt the Egyptians. This loss of faith in the government leads to the ousting of the current administration as the Belkans return home empty handed and extremely angry. This leads to some thinking that Belka either go isolationist or truly embrace industrialization on a massive scale.
    • I highly doubt much of anyone in Egypt is pro-Belka.

1802

Napoleon, Andrzej Borusewicz, and Jorge Montalban form the Continental Revolutionary Pact. Bathory of Hungary is condemned as an enemy of revolution. Meanwhile,  Napoleon continues his campaign in the HRE, conquering everything except Prussia, which is still very strong and has a large army.

  • Dravidian Empire (Ziyad): A major breakthrough was achieved at the Siege of Tanjore as the artillery units strategically placed around the city destroyed its fortifications, allowing the infantry to sweep right in and bring the fight straight to the defenders. As Robert Clive and his men marched into the heart of the city, they were able to capture the Imperial Palace and execute Shiraz's family. Unfortunately for them, Shiraz himself and most of his garrison were able to evade capture, slipping into the sewers and escaping through the tunnels that ran underneath Tanjore. It was a victory but with Shiraz having slipped right out of Ziyad's grasp, it certainly did not feel like one. News of the battle soon reached the Chhatrapati of Tamilakam and when he learned that Shiraz was marching across Tamil Nadu with whatever was left of his garrison, a small band of men at most; Ranoji Rao set out from Coimbatore and began marching East to meet with Shiraz's host. Ranoji had plans of establishing a Hindu Maharajya and as far as he was concerned, Shiraz was his competitor in controlling the South. As the foes met near the Kaveri River, things did not however go entirely as Ranoji had planned. Whilst the Chhattapati was able to decisively crush Shiraz's army, the Agrani Emperor himself escaped unscathed as he safely crossed over the river and reached Kollam. The same could not be said for Ranoji who unfortunately fell victim to a stray bullet and died in the midst of the battle. As was custom, the title of Chhatrapati was passed over from the heirless Ranoji over to his brother, Shivaji Rao II. Unlike Ranoji, Shivaji saw Shiraz as no more than a lingering pest that could be adequately dealt with when the time came. For Shivaji, the threat came not from Shiraz but from Ziyad and as such, he gathered his entire army and began marching toward Tanjore. Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, Emperor Idris Shah Agran was publically executed at Pune by Mahadaji Shinde. It was essentially supposed to be a testament of sort to display Mahadaji's loyalty to Shiraz. With Idris's death, his son, Ilyas Khushal Agran proclaimed himself the new Emperor, joining the list of claimants to the Agrani throne. As Mahadaji carried on this spectacle, his Rais, Gangadhar Rao began retreating from the Siege of Nizamabad as the forces under Warren Hastings arrived. It was supposed to be a trick of sort to draw the enemy forces away from the city and over to the countryside near the battlefield of Latur. Unfortunately for Gangadhar, it was only partially successful as whilst Warren chose not to persue Gangadhar and decided to remain at Nizamabad instead, Gangadhar was certainly descended upon by the Nagpur army under Rambaji Bhonsle. In the ill-fated battle, the Maratha army was annihilated and Gangadhar was killed as a cannonball crushed his head. Meanwhile in Southern Maharashtra, the situation was no less hectic. The Marathas under Chhatrapati Sambaji Rao rapidly expanded into the surrounding regions, penetrating deep inside the stygian city of Kalipur and clashing with its ever ferocious populace of Kali Shakta's. The Thag, Behram Kaliya had been excused by the Emperor Ziyad from the battlements of Tanjore so that he could oversee the defense of Kalipur but sadly for him, he was appointed by Warren to administer Hyderabad and manage its defence instead. The Marathas expanded south as well, capturing the city of Goa and marching upon Mangalore soon after only to be defeated by Shiraz's loyalists. This defeat was much different than the others though as it permanently removed the Marathas from the region, forcing them to retreat from Goa as well. Meanwhile, the Sardar of Kolhapur, Raghoji Bhonsle began marching north, hoping to meet up with the armies of Rambaji Bhonsle at Latur. Given the nature of Nagpur's addition into the war, almost every competitor tried to lure the Bhonsle's over to their side and Ilyas Khushal, the King at Gulburga was no different. His envoys were able to strike a deal with the Sardar of Kolhapur and with an alliance secured, Ilyas promised his support to the Bhonsles. As such, it came as no surprise that when the Bhonsle army was met upon by a massive Maratha host under Chhatrapati Sambaji II at Solapur, the naive Ilyas Khushal gathered his forces and marched out in support of Raghoji against the advice of his generals. Despite whatver Ilyas may have expected, the additional Agrani reinforcements were practically useless as the Marathas smashed the Bhonsle army at Solapur, killing Sardar Raghoji and forcing Ilyas to flee back to Gulburga with his tail between his legs. Unfortunately for Ilyas, having lost most of the military, his supporters were finally tired of his antics. That night, as he slept at the royal palace, he was met by an internal revolt by the eunuchs who arrested and castrated him, throwing him into the dungeons. Simultaneously, the Imperial Guard opened the gates to the city, allowing the forces under Warren to triumphantly enter into Gulburga.
  • Illinois Confederation: For safety, Silver Lynx moves his tribe to land in OTL Shreveport Louisianas the town is name El Refugio which is near Mehican territory,we ask,we ask Mehican for an alliance (response needed).Britain to back off our land or else we raise 600 more warriors along with getting more french guns to expand west 30px  (Holden Missouri), we ask Mehican for a trade for rifles in a trade of furs. We also ask France this as well (MOD NEEDED).
    • Mehican Diplomacy: Our Diplomats accept the Illinois joining the Pacific Arcadian Pact. But they do ask to keep the situation peaceful.
  • Free Hungary: Our Fearless Leader, Zoltan Bathory, Introduces New Economical Reforms that shape the nation, Under these reforms are The Nationalization of Farming, Now The food harvested by Farmers is Gathered up with the Farmer keeping a good amount of the Food for him and his family, while the rest goes to markets to be sold to Hungarians with the farmer getting some cash out of it as well. The Age of Ideas continues with new inventions seemingly being invented every day (They aren't actually) with these new Contraptions Being Spread by merchants across the country and to neighboring Nations as well. Hungarian Authors continue to write brilliant new Writings, introducing new genres such as Murder Mystery and Alternate History which become widespread among Woman And Historians. On the political side of things, Bathory continues to Sret h his power over Hungary, Managing to Keep hold of the Nation. Bathory Finds himself at 98% Control over the Government, with Old Untrustworthy government officials being replaced by Party Members. Bathory Expresses his outrage toward the Belkan Surrender in Egypt and Orders all Hungarian Volunteers in the war to Come back home where they will be treated with the highest of respect and greated as Heroes of the homeland when they return, Bathory also is Concerned with the Belkan Military's Recent coup, something he wouldn't of expected from a Stable modern nation like Belka, and decided to distance himself from Belka. Bathory Responds to Napoleon's Recent Condemning as "Ironic" and "Null" as He, himself, came to power via revolution and that he would support any revolution as long as it wasn't against Hungary and its allies or accomplices, which the "Napoleonic Wars" as Bathory Refers to the recent revolution majorly Supported by Napoleon as Violating this policy, as Him being King of Egypt and fighting against Belkans was an act of Anti-Belkanism and Was an Act of war against Hungary's Ally, while The Catholic Church Is Displeased with Napoleon's Revolutions and Has Denounced Him several Times. Bathory does seem concerned with the revolutions in Europe and Decides to Hold Hungary With an Iron Grip to Insue not a single revolution or Outcry happens in Bathory's Lifetime, he wants to ensure Hungary's Stability and prosperity, he Futhure Makes Hungary More Authortarian but still Makes sites the rights of Hungarians are Kept Safe from Government Overulment. The Hungarian Population seems pleased with Bathory's Recent work, and The Clergy Praises him for keeping Catholic Influence in the Hungarian Government. Bathory continues to make Hungary Less feudal and More Equal, with the "Noble" title being completely removed and nobles being Put together with Clergy and the other Classes. Bathory Attempts to futhure Hungary's Influence and Sends a Diplomat to Bohemia Offering a Personal Union with Hungary lead by Bathory for protection against revolts or outside forces, Namley Napoleon's Rhineland Mod Response. Bathory Continues to develope The Education system, Bathory In Response to Napoleons conquering of the entire HRE, fortifies the Rhinish Occupied Austria-Hungarian Border and Futhure expands the military, Bathory sends a Delegation to Napoleon requesting a Non Aggression Pact and to make a Buffer state in Austria to prevent war from breaking out. (Scraw's Response). After Napoleon's Denial of the Non-Agression Pact and the buffer state proposal, A Delegation is sent to The Pope Requesting a Defense Pact Between the Papal States to Avoid being conquered by Napoleon Papal Response. Bathory informs the Populance that Hungary could see itself in a War soon, which scares the Populance as they don't want to see Hungary in Another state of chaos which they are taught to Fear, Bathory then in attempts to calm and suth the Populance by stating "We as a Hungarians will stand united Against any Foreign invader, no matter if it's the Rhinish to the West, the Russians to the east (though unlikely as we have established good relations with them) or the Evil of the Monarchists, we will Fight to the Very Last man, we will Save Hungary! And myself especially, will fight till the very end! WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!" The crowd can be heard Cheering and clapping, As For the Hungarians, Bathory is their Only hope.
    • Napoleon tells Bathory no.
Internal demand for cotton and silk textiles rises. The consumption of tea and coffee increases as it becomes widely available across the nation. The shipbuilding industry expands. More karkhanas open up in the regional trade hubs for the manufacture of cotton and silk textiles. These karkhanas are owned by master artisans. These master artisans compete heavily with each other, bringing in skilled craftsmen from the nearby villages and training others. The Paschimi Marg is completed. New Serais start coming up, two years after work was started, boosting trade and transport. Debashish Dutta suggests providing contracts to Magadhi firms for the construction of Serais instead of direct government participation. The Council passes the decree, subsequently awarding contracts for the construction of Serais. The new Grand Serai in Hemgarh is constructed using the products made in the Hemgarh mill, allowing for a larger structure. There is a sudden spike in the demand for steel products in Hemgarh, the production of the Hemgarh mill increases. Rewat Sachdeva organises a group of students from the universities of Hemgarh and Patliputra and sends them to Britain to study British society and their sciences. British merchants dealing in agricultural products suggest new methods to improve agricultural productivity, their suggestions are turned down by the Council. The Salween river project is back on track and proceeds with the desired speed. Rice produced in the Irrawady River Delta becomes available for export, the small town of Rangoon starts to develop as a centre for trade and shipbuilding in that region. Lending houses and small banks come up in the major cities as a banking system starts to develop. Vajrayana Buddhism starts to spread in the Central Indian tribes. Advaita Vedanta starts gaining the attention of people in Banten. The Council starts irrigation and land clearance projects in Banten. New employment opportunities are generated in the port cities and the regional trade hubs, people start moving to the cities, selling their lands in the villages. These people are mostly small farmers who have not been able to benefit from increased trade in agricultural products. The regional trade hubs expand and develop, deriving the benefits of increased trade.
  • New Granada: The Royalists march on Bogota. However, they are unexpectedly ambushed by the Creole Legion of Hell, who slaughter them. In the meantime, several assassins sneak into the city of Quito and kill the former monarch who was commanding the royalists. Within weeks, the royalists collapse and the rebels take Ecuador. They then send an envoy to the Mehicans, asking to sign a truce and for the Mehicans to leave New Granada and dismantle their "Provisional Separatist Workers whatever" as put in the letter so a fair and independent New Granada can emerge. They will allow up to 10,000 Mehican soldiers to stay in New Granada as protection as long as they promise not to meddle in New Granadian Affairs or Elections (Mehican Response).
    • You did not have him. -s
    • Mehican Diplomacy: Our diplomats let know that We do not recognise the Disolution of the union of seperatist workers ,peasants and noblemen of the provisional goverment of Novo Granada. But instead They also lett know that all soldiers in Novo Granada will stay until there is no more chaos and when the deal we formed with the Creole Legion of Hell will be granted to our nation. Our emperor personally warns the Novo Granadians that any attempt to break Mehican influence and support will be a move into the wrong direction. Our emperor delivers a Personal writen Ultimatum 1) the ending of any provocation to Mehican Empire. 2) Giving the Panama Istmust to the State of Guatemala. 3) The recognition of "o governo provisório do grande Panamá para a liberdade e a causa da liberdade." as legitimate and as part of the the Novo Granadian republic. If these conditions are not met Our Great Imperial nation has to declare war in support of the "o governo provisório do grande Panamá para a liberdade e a causa da liberdade."
  • Jin dynasty: Empress Dowager Kim Jeongsun orders the deportation of all Immaculata missionaries to Christian Japan via Qingdao. She institutionalizes persecution and discrimination against Christians (especially Catholics), such as a ban on taking imperial examination as well as paying double the tax rate. However, due to her general unpopularity, these are seldom enforced outside of the Yellow River basin, where her influence is highest. Southern China eventually devolves into anarchy, with many Governors becoming autonomous. Its inland agrarian provinces are controlled by pro-Empress dowager Governors, while wealthier coastal provinces (with large Christian minorities due to successful missionary efforts) tend to be more pro-Kangxi Emperor. The anarchy in southern China, however allows for the relative success of the Yangtze River or the Eastern March campaign, with many dispatched Green Han Standard Army troops defecting under General Piteo. Nanjing and satellite cities become a notable base for many pro-Kangxi forces in the South, and is used for the operations to capture the Grand Canal. The Kangxi Emperor continues to lead armed revolt in Manchuria, breaching the fortifications of the Yalu River and barging through the gates of Hanseong, the secondary capital. The brief two-week Battle of Hanseong results in a massive victory for pro-Kangxi forces, with most forces south of the Han River capitulating or fleeing to territories governed under the illegitimate government via the port of Mokpo (arriving at Qingdao), to avoid any penalties for collaborating with the Empress dowager. A celebration is held in the plaza of the Heavenly Palace, with a grand fireworks display and a massive feast being the Kangxi Emperor's victory. Due to the demands of a higher population, Nangang and Suolong expand rapidly than in peacetime. Several commercial firms, including the famous Lady Lin Tea Corporation move their operations to Zaihaibian.
  • Swahili: We continue colonial expansion in Northern Somalia, in the South and in the Malindi and Mombassa area. Colonisation steadily increases as medicine and weaponry become more widespread. Many veterans (almost 40,000) travel to Egypt and works as mercenaries. Many Fundamentalist soldiers travel to Egypt to fight for the rebels, in hopes that a Fundamentalist Egypt can force Swahili to fundamentalism. Thus, Swahili sends aids and many veterans as volunteer units to help the Ethiopians or Christian rebels. However, Swahili diplomats announce that further military action would not be taken and all volunteer forces would cease if Egypt promises to banish these Fundamentalists and sign a trade agreement and non-aggression pact with Swahili. In Swahili, the civil war has officially ended with over 8.5 million deaths, including three million slaves, who are not counted in censuses. The Oromo Tribes and Mujarteen Kingdoms are punished and repressed for their support of the Fundamentalists. In particular, many tribes are relegated into slavery in the interior of Africa or in mines. Clerics were massacred and the Oromo Fetishist religion and language are banned from being practised. The Mujarteen kingdoms in Somalia are centralised and redrawn into new administrative divisions under the direct control of the Sultan. Local aristocrats, clerics or landowners are either enslaved or executed. It is estimated that another million died from the Swahili Retribution. Direct royal control is instituted over the core Fundamentalist territories and a period of reconstruction begins as many Southerners travel to the North for business opportunities. Many northern landowners begin a system of sharecropping, as they lack the necessary manpower to monitor slaves and prevent them from rebelling. A tally of the total casualties of the Swahili civil war shows:

Two million Qamarese dead from the Great Vengeance after the assassination of Sultan Nyo, 500,000 Swahili civilians in Qamar dead from Qamarese resistance, 500,000 military dead from both sides, 1.4 million dead from famines, raids and sporadic conflicts in Royalist Swahili, one million dead from famine, raids and sporadic conflicts in Fundamentalist Swahili, at least three million slaves from famines, 750,000 from the destruction of Oromo tribes and 300,000 dead from the Mujarteen Kingdoms.

    • Sefuwa: The colony of Sefuwa continue development.
    • Huriya: Swahili culture is brought by merchants and diplomats. The economy is slowly integrated into that of Royalist Swahili following the facilitation of trade through roads and the influence of Swahili merchants.
    • Rowzi: Swahili culture is brought by merchants and diplomats. The economy is slowly integrated into that of Royalist Swahili following the facilitation of trade through roads and the influence of Swahili merchants.
  • Mehican Empire:The Emperor founds the Liga de proteção which is a form of protection where Member states will gain military support and cheaper food to let their population grown. In return, they allow Mehico to advise their nation and act as peacekeeper. Gold is also found in the Newly settled Californian lands with the Pino has shown. Our diplomats are also willing to have talks with the Creole Legion of Hell to make them into a formal army that is less based or crime (Player response). Our Army engeneers also begin building more forts along the puebloan border to secure peace while at the same time we would to have normalised relations with them. Our nation also keeps it support for the  union of separatist workers, peasants and noblemen of the provisional goverment of Novo Granada which renames to The League of unionists in Novo Granada (Unionist league) which will keep full support of Mehican Empire and get military and economic aid to make them able to form a formal goverment in Medellín for Novo Granada. For our defence the "Тихоакеанский Пакт Аркадии" (Pacific Arcadian Pact) is founded this helps to assure peace in our nation and we ask the Salish and the Comanches to join it.
    • Provisional Republic of New Granada: The Republic continues to refuse to recognize the Mehican government in Medellin and asks that the Mehicans "get out, nobody wants you here".
    • The Legion of Hell: The Legion of Hell has no desire to become an army as they don't want to owe allegiance to any nation or be restrained by the the rules of war.
    • Mehican Diplomacy:Our diplomats ask the provisional goverment to back down and come to the tables to discus peace and keep war from hapening.
  • Cologne: Archbishop Garrick thanks His Holiness for the document and continues to bravely run the original Rhineland institutions to preserve them, still never contesting Napoleon’s rule over the Rhineland. When Napoleon begins to fight the former HRE rulers, Archbishop Garrick is immensely remorseful as the Archbishop-Patriarch who once united the greater German peoples under one, reconciled religion. As a result, he begins a program where he sends out small groups of cannons to various German states to continue to instil the faith in them and assure them that not all is lost, even in this increasingly violent world. Also, he continues to pray, even as blood is shed all around them.
    • Essen: The Rhineland Papers go to the Library of Cologne and Essen and continue to be carried by all of Archbishop Garrick’s Catholic solidarity groups of canons. Late this year, a bunch of canons are caught up in a battle and return home wounded to be cared for by Essenian Canonesses. In response, Abbess Marie makes a speech to all the faithful in Essen and Cologne, emphasising that they simply need to have faith – they will suffer through a lot, but they will come out the other side stronger. It’s what Saint Adelphina would have done. Further, Adelphinian Canonesses continue to do good work in both Tondo and the New Netherlands. Meanwhile, Aleksander Zimmerman remains quietly living out his life in Essen, assisting with the running of the institutions and craving the political life he could have had. This year, he receives a letter from Jean Lopez’s sister, telling him that she had received his many letters; unfortunately, however, Jean Lopez was killed in a fight in the Rhineland, where he had gone in an attempt to reach Aleksander. Aleksander is absolutely distraught and runs toward the Rhine with great abandon, kneeling by the riverside eventually and sobbing. Life will never again be worth living. In a few months, he has resolved to tell the world his story, even if it means his eventual demise, because he must be true to himself – someone will find out someday. Late that year, he releases a statement called The Lopez Pamphlet, which details his affair with Jean Lopez from the beginning to the end. The general population of Essen is shocked and horrified, and he is arrested on charges of sodomy. The judges condemn him to thirty years’ prison. However, Abbess Marie is convinced by Alexandra Zimmerman, Aleksander’s daughter, to take into account the many wonderful things Aleksander has done for their society and for the Adelphinian Canonesses worldwide; eventually she intervenes to lower the sentence to twenty years.
  • Jaffarid Sultanate of Arabia: Neoclassicism becomes a staple of culture, with many drawing inspiration from the Abbasid Caliphate. Diplomats are also sent to Ndongo, Zulu, and Uluru. The diplomats sent carry the word of Islam, as well as the promise of wealth and power upon the returning of positive relations. The final touches are placed, and the annexation of Persia is finally completed. To better explain how the government is operated between Arabia and Persia, it basically is set up as an official personal union between the Jaffarid dynasty of Arabia and the Qajar dynasty of Persia. They will have their own official parliamentary's, of which will create the larger National Assembly of the Near East. The two official languages will be Arabic and Persian, and will be taught as secondary languages within primary and secondary schools alike within each respective region. An official representative, selected by the National Assembly and the Sultan's of Arabia and Persia will be appointed to basically lead the nation in terms of giving official statements to the populace, as well as signing and denying laws that have been created and have ran through the National Assembly. To make sure it remains balanced, an 66% majority vote can allow for the overturning of the denied law. For the impeachment of a Prime Minister, it will take a 75% majority vote as well as an official referendum taken which will decide the fate through direct democracy. Next year, the constitution will be officially ratified and the Kingdom of Arabia and Persia, or what is being called Arabia-Persia, will be an official nation.
  • Brésil: With the rejection of the letter sent to the Iberian government, Grand Deputy Nicollier decides to make a controversial decision to start moving more Brésilians into the disputed territory to settle land. Nicollier secretly funds them to destroy Iberian farms in the region in attempt to push most of the Iberian influence out of the territory. He also orders re-mobilization of the trained conscripts in case the Iberians are provoked enough to invade Brésil. Before Nicollier retires from government in June, he gives a speech on the formation of parties and he and the Emperor's disappointment on the situation. He nominates his hand-picked successor, Adolphe De Villiers (unaffiliated with any parties) to be next Grand Deputy. De Villiers, in his second term of being a deputy wins the election and is given the title on June 26. De Villiers, a rather blunt man publicly condemns the new parties, especially the Parti Fédéraliste that wants to reorganize the unitary government. De Villiers adds a small amendment to the constitution known as the Tiebreaker Rule that allows the Emperor to effectively become a one-hundred-and-first member in the case of a 50-50 tie in the Assembly. De Villiers also declares the second of June to be Independence Day, the first national holiday.
    • Mehican Diplomacy:Our diplomats to brasil ask their emperor if he would like his nation to join the "Тихоакеанский Пакт Аркадии" (Pacific Arcadian Pact).
  • Hawaii: The war with Tonga concludes with us forcing a treaty to be signed. We allow a vast amount of autonomy in Tonga and other islands as long as all former possessions of the Tongan crown swear fealty to the King of Hawaii as parts of the kingdom. The island itself, and the possessions personally owned by the Tonga king, are granted to loyal Hawaiian chieftains, who are the King's relatives and commanders. The war proves the utility of the new Hawaiian navy, and construction of more ships is ordered. A large military presence remains in Tonga, where fortifications are to be constructed to ensure control of the area. Some of the resources seized in the conflict are used to pay the Polynesians for the destruction the Tongans inflicted, and to reward them for supporting us.
  • The Great Sultanate: After the death of Abdullah, his son Amer Khan takes power. He continues the goals of father as in rising population and creating major cities. Amer Khan begins to work on consolidating power by amassing tribes under his banner. This causes tension among Amer Khan's 2nd in command as tension rises over how the nation should modernize. The army is worked on Amer Khan begins to work on ideas of a more modern and less tribal army. We ask the Jaffarid Sultanate to support our nation in modernizing.
  • Kingdom of Masr (Egypt): With the news of the Balkan Withdrawal, the nation erupts into celebration over its new found Independance. Muhhamed Ali's forces capture Damietta, dismantling fortifications, and declaring victory within the Town Square. Muhhamed Ali, himeself has become extremely popular amongst the Egyptian Population, who give him the nickname "The Liberator" (المحرر). Muhammed Ali's Army marches into Cairo. Queen Fawzia convenes a Political meeting of delegates, Artisocrats and influential tribesmen, to establish the political code of the nation in the Capital of City of Cairo. Muhhmaed Ali is granted the title of Khedive (Viceroy) of Sudan and Head of the Army. However a major political rift occurs, as Muhhamed Ali demands the title of Grand Vizer (Prime Minister) but is rejected by the Queen. The Cotton industry begins to grow and is encouraged the newly formed Egyptian Government. Queen Fawzia searches for a suitable suitor to her Daughter, Fatima (MOD RESPONSE).

  • United Kingdom of Great Britain: This conflict in the HRE is like nuts but it's an internal HRE matter currently and no one is asking for help. With grain prices low and progressive reform the British people have little active dissent especially since there is fighting in Germany.  Marc Isambard Brunel begins installation of his blockmaking machinery at Portsmouth Block Mills in England. George Bodley of Exeter in England patents the first enclosed kitchen stove. Robert Kyle takes the idea of the french Jacquard Loom, in which holes strategically punched in a pasteboard card direct the movement of needles, thread, and fabric over to Britain after hearing about it and starts work on a prototype.
The population of Avalon is 0.8 million, Iroquois has 2.2 million and Savannah has 2.0 million. Savannah and Avalon votes to open itself to trade with everyone else. This ends the British monopoly on Arcadian trade but it's the Arcadian's right since they're independent. Though because the British allow them to sell corn they maintain customs on goods being sold to other nations.

1803

The Napoleonic army and the Polish army invade Prussia but Poland is distracted by a Russian invasion. This delays the full defeat of Prussia and allows them to recover as Polish troops withdraw to defend their country. Meanwhile at home, Napoleon's brother Lucien continues to enact the dramatic legal reforms known as the Napoleonic Code. The brothers are enforcing their strict meritocratic rules in their government just as they do in the military.

  • Dravidian Empire (Ziyad): As the war continued to slip into the hands of Warren, the opposing Maratha warriors finally relented to coming to the table, agreeing to create an alliance of sort until Rambaji Bhonsle and Warren Hastings could be defeated. In this way, a united Maratha army was established under the leadership of Mahadaji Shinde and Sambaji Rao II. Concurrently, after forcing Ilyas to publically abandon his claims to the throne and subsequently admitting him into a seminary far off in the countryside, Warren too opened up negotiations with his Nagpuri counterpart and was able to come up with an arrangement involving granting the Bhonsles dominion over Maharashtra under Agrani suzerainty. Meanwhile, in the South, upon hearing of the Tamilakam army marching upon Tanjore, the outnumbered and outmatched Ziyad was suggested to by Robert to rig the city with explosives and abandon it. As Tanjore had been the epicentre of the Dravidian rocket industry, turning it into a time bomb was no major hassle and within no time, the deed had been done. Leadership of Dravidian army was entrusted to Robert who then began marching West towards Madurai whilst Ziyad and a few men stayed behind to oversee the Tanjore operation from the mountains. As they watched on with glee and joy, the Tamilakam army under Chhatrapati Shivaji Rao II victoriously entered into Tanjore and held celebrations for their victory only for it all to turn to ash as the strategically placed explosives detotated, killing hundreds of thousands and smothering the city in flames. If anyone somehow survived the initial explosion, the fiery inferno surely killed him and if anyone managed to avoid the inferno, the thick dense smoke suffocated him. All in all, almost everyone was killed whilst Ziyad and his men happily watched the spectacle from above. In the aftermath, his men searched the city and killed any survivors before Ziyad started heading back North, midway stopping at Mysore and impregnating a women who gave birth to his son, Dhuran. By the time the Tamils got word of Shivaji's death, it was way too late. Whilst they were able to hold a coronation ceremony for a new Chhatrapati, Shahaji Rao, it was essentially pointless as the Dravidian army was able to reach the capital and captured it within no time. Unlike Ziyad, Robert had always been ruthless and he wasted no time in murdering every single Rao that he could get his hands on, practically ending the family's Tamil branch all by himself. In the mean time, Sambaji Rao was assassinated by a Kali Shakta as he visited the frontlines at Kalipur. His successor, Chhatrapati Baji Rao was much less interested in upholding the agreement with Mahadaji but nevertheless chose not to renege on it, keeping true to it for the time being. As the allied Nagpuri-Dravidian army began marching towards Pune, they were met upon by the unified Marathi army near Ahmadnagar. The fight was an intense one but it soon began shifting into the Maratha's favour as Warren, who controlled the rearguard and who's forces largely comprised it decided to retreat to the mountains, allowing the Marathas to flank the Nagpuri army. Unfortunately for the Marathas, the retreat on Warrens part was not cowardice but a strategic move. It was an attempt to minimize Dravidian casualties whilst maximizing that of every else and this was achieved by shooting at and bombarding every single person in sight, ally or enemy. The Dravidian cannons shot regardless of who they aimed at, annihilating thousands on the field and truly retreating from battle only after a charge by the Marathi cavalry under Mahadaji. Prior to that, countless infantry charges were wiped out as the Dravidians not only held the upper ground but superior firepower. At the end of the day, it could only be called a Pyrhhic victory as whilst the Dravidians had been forced to retreat and the Nagpuri army was destroyed with Rambaji captured after supposedly being crippled by a cannon, the Marathas had suffered irreparable casualties. Baji Rao still had cause to celebrate though as after the battle was over, he had Mahadaji arrested and informed that whilst the battle was going on, Rao men had taken over the undefended Pune. As Mahadaji shockingly watched on, his captive family was brought out and executed before Baji Rao personally beheaded Mahadaji, crippling the Shinde family. Meanwhile, Shiraz consistently attempted to raise an army in Kerala only to be rebuffed by its rulers who already found the blockade of Kollam to be incredibly infuriating. If the situation could get any worse, they soon received word that the Dravidian army under Robert was marching upon Kerala and unfortunately for Shiraz, this was the last straw. Wasting little time, the Malayalam had Shiraz murdered and offered upto Robert but as it turned out, Robert simply did not care. His Dravidian army massacred the people of Kollam upon entering the city under the false pretense of taking Shiraz's body and later, Clive personally witnessed the killing of thousands of priests and clergy throughout the south, employing the practitioners of a particular religion to murder his religious brethren and demolish sites associated with his own religion by emphasizing the superiority of the Deccani race and making it clear that racial ties were more important than religious. It was an incredibly drastic move but supposedly of desperate need in order to prepare the Empire for the establishment of a secular regime.

As preparations for possible war, Bathory orders Many new Recruits to be trained, and to have 70% of the Recruits be trained and Given Orders by the end of the year, which basically means Bathory wants 82,000 Trained Troops by the end of this year. • The Magadh Mahajanpada: The marketed surplus of rice, tea, coffee, tobacco, potatoes and groundnuts increases. Commercialization ensues as Magadhi firms and master artisans compete for greater profits in agriculture and shipbuilding. Wages of labourers and incomes of farmers increases slowly but steadily. Consumption increases as a result bringing in higher profits for firms and the textile sector. Internal demand for cotton and silk textiles rises. The consumption of tea and coffee increases as it becomes widely available across the nation. The shipbuilding industry expands. More karkhanas open up in the regional trade hubs for the manufacture of cotton and silk textiles. Consumption of tobacco increases in the form of dhoomrdandika (cigarette). The consumption of Tobacco is currently the highest in the Tobacco producing areas. After the end of the intermediaries, the local crafts industries had lost its patrons and as a result many artisans had lost their job and taken up farming but had remained small farmers. Hearing of the new employment opportunities springing up in the towns and cities, they begin migrating to these areas in search for new fortunes taking with them their families. The initial wave of textile artisans find jobs in the new manufactories, however artisan families who specialise in the production of other handicrafts start their own workshops. Competition increases and the number of skilled artisans which can be employed by the master artisans decreases. Though labour is in abundance, skilled (in textile manufacture) labour becomes increasingly scarce. This demographic shift is slow at first but slowly gains momentum as word spreads around. These village artisans sell their lands to other farmers. The size of the average farm has increased over the years bringing in more profits to the farmers. Sugar becomes available for export. Vajrayana Buddhism emerges as a well established religion in the tribal areas of Kamroop, it spreads further in Central India. Advaita Vedanta gains popularity in Banten with more and more people adhering to the philosophy. Bhakti sects gain popularity among the Hindus of Brahmavarta. The regional trade hubs expand and develop, deriving the benefits of increased trade and migration from rural areas. A major scam is unearthed by the administration regarding the Serai project in Dhaka. It is found that the firm which had been awarded the construction of Serais in the area has siphoned off a large amount of government funds. This scam shatters Debashish Dutta's reputation and stature in the government and the educated class. He retires from the Council and takes up his duties as the Governor of Kamroop. However, the problem needs a solution and the responsibility rests on the shoulders of the Council. There has been an increase in the number of students attending the Gurukuls and Pathshalas. Organized forms of Pathshalas have emerged in the cities and are encouraged by the people and the municipal councils. These Pathshalas provide practical and spiritual education free of cost. These small educational units make no differentiation in the form of grades/classes. They are generally run by an individual or a small group of individuals. Though education is free, it is customary for people to give the Gurus the Guru Dakshina on the Day of Saraswati Puja. The Gurukuls are units specialising in a type of art or activity, these are located in isolated areas. Young boys are sent to the Gurukuls and remain away from their families for years at a time. With the advent of irrigation and trade, a larger number of farmers have been able to send their children to the Gurukuls. Village Pathshalas remain active but are not very popular.
  • Brésil: Unsatisfied with Nicollier's policy and himself being a blunt man, De Villiers halts the undercover finances, and holds a pre-emptive war vote in the Grand Assembly. With the vote being successful showing the assembly's general approval, De Villiers immediately meets with Emperor Nicolas in the royal palace on the topic of war with Iberia and the Dominion of Amazonia. De Villiers states that although they have stationed another force there since the threatening letter, the region is very sparsely populated with at most 200,000 people (per General534), and with the mobilized forces they can effectively win a war. After hearing this, the Emperor consults his advisors and officially issues a declaration of war against the Dominion of Amazonia. The Emperor gathers most of the men that were stationed in the cities and mobilized last year (50,000), and also recruits 30,000 new men for the cause. The army leaves from Noveau Nuremburg (OTL: Sao Luis), and follows the coastline with little resistance due to the population in the region. The army marches at a reasonable pace along the jagged coast for 350 miles, setting up supply lines, before reaching 20 miles outside of the capital of the Dominion, Belém. Outside the capital they are greeted by a small professional Iberian-Amazonia force to defend the dominion. The First Battle of Bélem is won by Brésil convincingly, causing the defending force to retreat and regroup. This force is followed to within ten miles of the city where another battle occurs. The Second Battle of Bélem takes place with the same outcome as the first, and finally the defending force retreats and regroups in the city. General Hugo Loup decides to stop the pursuit, and sends for more help from the capital government. In the final months of the year, Loup starts a siege of the city, but does not assault it. Back home, Emperor Nicolas decides to send 20,000 more men to the front, and raises another force to defend from any possible coastal invasions and peasant unrest threats. These forces will arrive to the siege by next year. In the meantime, Prince Alexandre is sent to Hawaii to improve relations. De Villiers bestows the honor of Prince Imperial on the prince and all following heir apparents in Brésil.
  • Hawaii: The fortifications on Tonga continue to be constructed, while the administration on the new territories continues its development. With the threat of war gone expansion and colonization continues as it did before, with a population boom occuring in the southwest, as Hawaiians settle formerly Tongan land and the areas around it. Prince Alexandre of Brésil is welcomed on the islands to much fanfare and formal ceremonies, being welcomed as if a part of the king's own family. The Prince Imperial becomes friends with some of the king's court, including the king's children and the children of the Kuhina Nui. Kekūanāoʻa's eldest son, who is also coincidentally named Alexandre, and his daughter, Marie Antoinette Kamāmalu, particularly hit it off with the royal guest, the latter hoping to wed a Brésilian noble or friend of the Prince Imperial someday.
  • Kingdom of Egypt: As the notion of independance is finally applied into action, Egypt braces itself as a new independent nation. As an independent nation, Egypt adopts the Napoleonic Code as a basis of most of the law within the nation. In matters of Governance however, the nation is divided into 28 Governates (محافظة), each governed by a Wali (Governor). Religious matters are dealt with by the Ulema which remains slightly intertwined with the government, led by the Grand Mufti. The Political Rift between Muhhmaed Ali and Queen Fawzia increases, with the population supporting Ali and the Social Elite somewhat with Fawzia. The Capital is moved Giza and the Districts of Cairo not in possession of the Caliph. Muhhames Ali, now in place as Head of the Military, begins to prioritize the establiahment of a modern Military, based on a European Style. To achieve this, Milita leaders and Officers who do not reach the level deemed appropriate are immediately discharged and are replaced with more capable officers. A by-product of this is the formation of an Professional Bueacracy. The Military Academy of Alexandria is founded by Royal Order and immediately begins a major re-training program of veterans and soldiers in the military. Queen Fawzia requests that promising students are accepted into foreign Academies (MOD/Player Response). In order to Streamline the economy, the established Government immediately attempts to secure revenue for the nation. The Iqta Semi-Feudal system is abolished, these farms are "nationalized" therefore granting the Government the production of the land. Taxes on these farms are raised intentionally very high and owners who could not extract the demanded payments from the peasants who worked the land will have their land confiscated by the Governmeant. These reforms were championed by Muhammad Ali and showed a clear stray from the former non-intervionist stance of the Caliphates that preceded it. The Eyptian Dinar is established by the Bank of Cairo as the Official Currency of Egypt. Neoclassic culture exported from the Jaffairid Sultanate begins to grow in popularity, with many following the trend amogst the social upper Class. Queen Fawzia, under advise from her Husband, declares Egypt open for negotiations in the matter of excavations across the Country, in order to boost National Prestige.

The British coalition offer is accepted.
  • United Kingdom of Great Britain: With Prussia about to be defeated and Napoleon's western flank will be secure it begins to look more likely that Napoleon will turn west. After a debate in Parlimeant based on the fact that it is against British interests for him to hold the channel coast. King James offers to France and Burgundy a coalition to protect the three nations in the event of aggression by Napoleon. (Mod response) The British army is enlarged with a heavy propaganda campaign, mass production of muskets and cannon and new training camps are set up. • Hungarian Dip. We send a Diplomat through Bella where it gets on a boat, which goes around the Italian Peninsula, and into the British Colony of Gibraltar. It requests British Backing if Napoleon decides to Invade, or even join the coalition just in case.
    • British Dip: We're not interested.
    • France agrees.
  • Pontus: With the civil war settled and Vakhtang winning, but dying in the process, their younger brother Constantine becomes Emperor of Trebizond. He begins communicating with Arabia about trade and alliances. Trebizond is once again made capital and freedom of religion is granted to Muslims and Jews. The Armenian Apostolic Church still retains a favoured place in the country, however.
  • Kingdom of Arabia and Persia: Neoclassicism becomes a staple of culture, with many drawing inspiration from the Abbasid Caliphate. Diplomats are also sent to Ndongo, Zulu, and Uluru. The diplomats sent carry the word of Islam, as well as the promise of wealth and power upon the returning of positive relations. Within the first year of establishing the Arabian and Persian Union, prosperous times begin. The first official elections are held for the positions of Prime Minister and the positions for the National Assembly. The Napoleonic Code, which has begun to leak heavily into Damascus and has made its way all the way to Baghdad, becomes extremely favorable by the general populace, with many proclaiming Napoleon to be somewhat of a genius and a war hero. As a proper alliance was in the works, Prime Minister Jaasir al-Nazar, sends out numerous diplomats to the Great Sultanate, Egypt, Swahili, and Maghreb, in hopes of creating an regional organization as a means of preserving the sovereignty we deserve. The organization is known currently as the Arab League. The official language would be Arabic, currency being fils, and the official capital would be Damascus and/or Cairo. Although not many specifics are sorted, we ask for the nations to consider it and help in its creation so that our sovereignty can be secured for the distant future (Player/Mod).
  • Scandinavia: King Alexander offers an alliance with the Burgundians and British (Player Response) and begins to construct a massive defensive line on the Kiel river.

1804

Napoleon and Poland sign truces with Prussia, allowing Poland to focus on Russia. Russia, furious at Prussia, breaks their alliance. Napoleon sends 5,000 men under Joachim Meinart to help Poland while he returns home. He decides to unite all of his occupied possessions with the Rhineland as the new nation of Germany. He writes to the Pope, asking him to crown him as Emperor of the Germans.

Furthermore, Napoleon realizes the Rhineland is not a super great place for a mighty man such as himself and decides to make a brand new shining capital for himself.

In France, a few thinkers try to incite revolution, but the motive among the people is not there. As such, the king remains in power.

Although Maghreb helped Egypt in their question for independence, the spirit of revolution seizes the nation. An Egyptian revolutionary newspaper called Jumhuriya (Republic) relocates to Algiers and begins distribution there. Agitation of the public combines with frustration of post-war debt and angry and dispossessed returning veterans, many of whom are penniless and homeless, leading to the Veterans Revolt in Morocco. The Sultan is deposed and replaced with the leader of the veterans, Captain Abdallah Al-Fattah from Tripolitania. The success of the rebels in Morocco spreads to Algeria, Tunisia, and Tripolitania. In each region the veterans, organized as the Legion of Bloody Brothers, overthrow the Sultan's cronies and establish their own government loyal Al-Fattah, simply known as the Captain. The Captain, a friend of Muhammad Ali and Napoleon, reaches out to them for recognition and support.

  • Papal States: Pope Henry writes to Napoleon, telling him that he refuses to crown him anything unless he restores the rights of the Church and vows to protect them evermore, gives compensation to the lawful governments he has unjustly annexed and usurped, and vows to end place his expansionist lust for conquest behind him. Furthermore, with news coming of the ver-increasing number of Christians being ruthlessly martyred in China, His Holiness pens a letter to the faithful in China, urging them to stay true to the faith. Those being killed are already being referred to as the Chinese Martyrs of the Empress Dowager. In other news, the Pope writes to Illinois, he informs them that, whilst he cannot personally visit due to his age and the dangers of travel, he will send a high-ranking bishop of the Congregation for Canonisations to investigate the alleged miracles. In the States, the military is expanded.
    • Napoleon, who is a very religious Christian man, is dismayed that the Pope does not support him. Instead, he crowns himself King of the Germans.
  • Mehican Empire:After the The Provisional Republic of New Granada Refuses to our ultimatum Tlahtoāni Moctezuma Raul Augusthino Diltwa I Declares that he now has to aid the "o governo provisório do grande Panamá para a liberdade e a causa da liberdade."To defend it he Declares war on the Provinsional republic of new Granada. They also support the "o governo provisório do grande Panamá para a liberdade e a causa da liberdade." Since they see the Provisional republic of Novo Granada as a Goverment wanting to delete and forget the history and old culture of the Aztec past they had. The Emperor also congratulates General Ericho Ernesto Julionanus for his great victory against the Provisional Republic of New Granada. But he does ask General Ericho Ernesto Julionanus to ready his army to Liberate the granadian capital of bagota if they do now agree on peace. The "a liga do unionista no Grande Panama" Declares the "Grande principado do grande Panamá"  ("Grand principality of Gran Panama")after hearing of the great Victory near Panama city. He sees their effort as their rightful destiny to aid their spirit.
Consumption of tobacco increases and spreads to the non-Tobacco producing areas. Artisans and small farmers continue to move to the cities, selling their lands in the villages. Competition between master artisans in the textile sector increases heavily. A new steel mill is established in Hemgarh by a Magadhi firm to cater to the growing demand. With the availability of better quality steel, the weapons industry in Magadh starts to centralise, beginning a gradual shift to the cities. As of this year, most of the municipal councils of the regional trade hubs operate water pumps. Sewage systems start to be constructed in theses cities. Municipal Councils of cities which had developed during Aryavartiya times like Lucknow, Kannauj, Hemgarh, Patliputra and Paradwip operate water pumps for municipal water supply (having an already established sewer system). Advaita Vedanta gains popularity in Banten with more and more people adhering to the philosophy. Bhakti sects gain popularity among the Hindus of Brahmavarta. The regional trade hubs expand and develop, deriving the benefits of increased trade and migration from rural areas. Work on the Serai project continues. In response to the scam, the Council sets up an independent state department to regulate the works of private firms in government projects. The department is headed by individuals who are a part of the Civil Services. The number of Pathshalas in the cities increases. A larger number of children (only boys) are enrolled in the Pathshalas and Gurukuls. Security of trade increases and this leads to even more regional trade. Even though exports have remained more or less steady, internal demand has risen and has led to greater consumption. Banking activity has increased significantly in the cities. The amount of money with the banks has increased leading to cheaper credit. A good balance has been maintained between expenditure and savings and a healthy banking sector has developed.
  • Free Hungary:Our Fearless Leader, Zoltan Bathory, Continues The New Economical Reforms that shape the nation, Under these reforms are The Nationalization of Farming, Now The food harvested by Farmers is Gathered up with the Farmer keeping a good amount of the Food for him and his family, while the rest goes to markets to be sold to Hungarians with the farmer getting some cash out of it as well. The Government funds mining corporations to open mines, some 25 year old sons of Government officials begin Founding their own Mining Corporations and begin opening Mines which Gives a lot of the Government Money which Bathory orders to be Put in the National Treasury, Coal, Diamonds and other raw minerals are found and make Hungary's economy boom. Restaurants make it to Hungary, which become popular, especially with women as they don't have to bother cooking food everyday. The Age of Ideas continues with New Inventions seemingly being invented every day (They aren't really). Hungarian authors continue to write new and amazing stories that catch the eye of the populace and becomes popular with children as a pastime activity. Hungarian poets begin to sprout up, with woman being the main readers, making poets target a female audience. 100 universities open up around the country, increasing education, woman are also allowed to go to school as it's always been. Meanwhile, more and more elementary, junior high, and high schools open up daily. On the political side of things, Bathory rejoices that Hungary stands once more, he orders a mass training program for the hundreds of thousands of New Recruits coming in, it is expected that at least 87% of the recruits will be trained and outfitted with gear and then put on duty. Bathory is frightened at the recent revolutions around the world, so he begins to crack down on Revolutionary sentiment in Hungary, ironically sense he came to power via revolution, but only cracks down on the revolutionary sentiment that calls for revolution around the world or in Hungary, which the Secret Police keep tabs on. We also block influences from the northern borders. Merchants from the north can't enter the country for now. Newspaper Sources are closely monitored by the government, as it has been ever sense Bathory took power, such things like Napoleon calling Bathory the "enemy of the revolution" have not been directly mentioned, with news sources only mentioning that Napoleon insulted Bathory, not excpliclty mentioning what he said, so the news just is becoming more censored, such as not mentioning the Revolts in certain countries, or just not really explaining the causes, and denouncing the Revolutions. Bathory Continues to fortify the Northern Borders above, sending more guns to Prussia and Hungarians volunteering to go into Prussia to aid them, while still keeping neutral in the conflict. With the pope's recent backlash at Napoleon, Bathory stays neutral and still against Napoleon as the Catholic Church is against Napoleon's revolution and conquests. Defense plans are drawn up by Hungarian Field Marshals and Generals that are apart of the Hungarian High Command, Bathory looks over these plans with the face of impressiveness, and approves of the plans. Anti-Monarchist sentiment grows as usual, with the General Majority having negative views on Monarchies, while Bathory still wants to stay allied to Monarchies as his Anti-Monarchist sentiment is only targeted at Monarchy in Hungary, not universal monarchies.Bathory requests An Alliance with Russia while Bathory requests that the pope respond to his Requests for a meeting to discuss how to deal with Napoleon. Bathory continues to grow in popularity with his Party (including government) and his people.
    • Still too early for massive university openings, women's emancipation and the system you mentioned hasn't existed by that time. One strike. ~Wolves.
    • My apologies
  • The Great Sultanate: After the death of Abdullah, his son Amer Khan takes power. He continues the goals of father as in rising population and creating major cities. Amer Khan begins to work on consolidating power by amassing tribes under his banner. This causes tension among Amer Khan's second in command as tension rises over how the nation should modernize. The army is worked on Amer Khan begins to work on ideas of a more modern and less tribal army. We ask the Jaffarid Sultanate to support our nation in modernizing.trade from India,Persia and China are settled mostly in trade hubs in major cities this causes a small and steady rise of population as steady income comes from trading cattle or selling objects .
  • Cologne: Archbishop Garrick is downright terrified that Napoleon has crowned himself King of the Germans, but nevertheless he supports the unity of Germans as a whole. He continues to write pamphlets to the united German Catholics in his sustained jurisdiction as Archbishop-Patriarch, spiritual leader, to encourage them to look out for each other and the weakest amongst them in a time of great need; they should avoid unnecessary confrontation with each other. The institutions of the old Rhineland League continue to be preserved by volunteers, mostly due to their faith, but this flies mostly under the radar and does not attempt to affect the ruling order. This Archbishop Garrick watches with great despair, as Napoleon continues to conquer and ignore the wishes of His Holiness.
    • Essen: The abbess of New Essen hears about the healing of five sick girls by a Catholic farmer in the Illinois Confederation, and notices that His Holiness has not responded as he is evidently busy with the Napoleon situation in Europe. Accordingly, she sends a small envoy of Adelphinian Canonesses to greet the man and acknowledge him, although they are doubtful that he may become a saint. Meanwhile back at home in Essen, Abbess Marie has been very sick with old age and passed away earlier this year, which created even further confusion with the promulgation of the Napoleonic Code and the canonesses’ attempts to reconcile it with existing law. In the confusion, Aleksander Zimmerman has not yet gone to jail because there is a chance that the new laws may be more lenient for sodomites. While spending this time alone, his wife Elena does not speak to him. After letting her anger simmer from afar for almost an entire year, she decides that he must not go to jail – she must take action to prevent that. Thus she and Aleksander escape the city of Essen. However, they only make it so far as outer Cologne before it becomes apparent that Elena does not forgive Aleksander for what he did, and never will. More to the point, she has acquired a single musket from a Napoleonic soldier. When they reach a barn for the night and lock the door, she makes her final calculations, takes a deep breath and shoots him. He doesn’t die immediately, so Elena stays with him for hours until he breathes his last breath. Her last words to him are “I hope that you burn”. Once he is dead, she leaves the barn and sets it on fire. Eventually the Essenian canonesses catch up with her, horrified, and send her to jail instead. There is much heated discussion and division in Essen and Cologne, especially with respect to the question of whether Zimmerman as a homosexual deserved to die. However, there is currently no easy answer to this question. Finally, later in the year, a new Abbess-General for Essen is elected: her name is Yslana de Beauharnais. She has a particular interest in resolving the situation with Napoleon but is as yet unsure how to do that. She does not necessarily agree with Archbishop Garrick’s neutral approach, but acknowledges that the safety of her people is most important. Meanwhile, the canonesses in Tondo and New Germany and New Netherlands continue to do good work.
