Prussia, officially the Prussian Republic, is a sovereign nation in Eastern Europe. Prussia is bordered by Bavaria and Hanover to the west, Czechoslovakia to the south, and Intermarium to the east.
The modern Prussian state traces back to the end of World War Two. The Free State of Prussia was abolished as a response of the Nazi surrender and the area Prussia controlled was absorbed into neighboring states. Some Prussian land (what makes up of Prussia today), remained and was occupied by Russia. The Russian Soviet occupation zone, East Germany, declared independence as the satellite state of the Prussian People's Republic. From 1947 until 1974, the Communist Party of Prussia dominated the politics.
In 1974, a year before the fall of Communism, Democratic movements broke out all over Prussia. With the support of Hanover, Hanoverian troops captured the capital of Leipzig, in which the President and his cabinet surrendered to the Democratic Movement of Prussia, a rebel faction aiming for a Democratic Prussia. The Prussian People's Republic was dissolved, and the modern Prussian Republic was founded.
