Quito after a bombing wih an aztec tank patrolling

Quito was a major city in the north of the Incan Empire. Quito held the largest Silver mines in the Empire, and was considered the moneybox of the empire. During the Great Depression, most of the mines were closed, despite the fact that the jobs and money gained from them could have eased things. When the Jaguar party came to power, the mines were re-opened, and this helped regain stability within the empire.

During the Second World War, Quito was heavily bombed.
