What is it?

Red Revival is a scenario created by LonnieH in which Russia's Black October ends with the recapture of power by the Soviet Supreme and the installation of a sort of Neo-Soviet union in which there are frequent elections.

History Of Red Revival

In October of 1993, following an attempt by Boris Yeltsin to gain more power in the failing Russian Federation, there was a series of pro-soviet uprisings. In Red Revival, this event is the end of the Russian Federation. Mirroring real life up until the moment that soldiers in real life decided to support Yeltsin, In Red Revival, they turn against him and support the Soviet Supreme. The military assists in the Soviet return to power and a temporary provisional government under Vice President Alexander Rutskoy until a new election could be held. The global reaction to a swift return, following the short intermission, of another Soviet Russian State was pure shock. During the first term, Alexander Rutskoy was elected as the first President of The Russian SFR. He served a single weak term until the nation turned to a form of National Bolshevism.

The United States and several other nations saw the rise of the National Bolshevik party in 1997 as a threat to their democratic nations, and to the stability of the west as a whole. The new ideology was left wing, strong in connections to Marxist-Leninist ideologies, but with Hyper-Nationalist tendencies. This threat was over-inflated and lead to the rise of the nationalist AUP in the United States and the FPP in France. Several Nationalist parties in smaller nations began to form as well in what has been called the Red Spring of 2000. In reality, that year seen nations completely united in an attempt to avoid conflict against communism.

Due to the loss of territories, and fearing looking weak on the international scene, The SFR declared war on it's southern middle-eastern neighbor Afghanistan on August 17th, 2001. The attack on the Afghan homeland and imminent threat by the Soviets turned the Al Qaida and Taliban attention away from America and their planned attacks on the world trade center. This action avoided the attacks on September 11th. The Newfound aggression of this new Soviet state instantly destabilized, not just the region, but members of NATO as well. In America, the American Unity Party won seats in both Congress and the House of Representatives. The party was growing quickly due to it's highly nationalist and anti-soviet views.

By 2004, The Second Soviet-Afghan war was over and the Soviets annexed the north-west, north-east, and far western sections of Afghanistan. The Taliban government was toppled leaving a power vacuum to which a Soviet hosted "Election" was staged in which a communist candidate won and was elected as the Chairman of the new Soviet puppet state.

In 2007, after years of gaining popularity, the French French Populist party won the election, making François Asselineau president of France. The next year, scattered elections saw the election of nationalist or Anti-Soviet parties in 13 nations including, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Italy, and the United States. In the USA, the American Unity Party had gained 23% of the vote, up four times what it was before. The new president, President Mattis, won the Republican vote after announcing his complete opposition to the Soviet state. His announcement in 2006 was met with instant gratification and support from America's growing right Wing.

On July 16th, 2009, following a communist rally in times square, New York City, civil war broke out. On the 12th, a tight-knit group of hardline Maoists and Marxists started a protest and were shut down by the police. High members of the Democrat party, Communist Party, And Liberal Party formed a Left-wing coalition in retaliation for the aggressive police response. The following days saw increasing tension and violence until the death of an African American teen at the hands of a Hispanic Conservative. There was a chill throughout the nation and the 16th of July, 2009, was the day that a democratic endorsed and funded attack began on the Republican-controlled House. The right formed a coalition and the national guard was rapidly deployed nation-wide to quell attacks on republican owned government buildings.

The second American Civil war was the result of years and years of a political and racial divide. Without a unifying event like the September 11th attacks, nothing truly unified the US people to prevent such a cataclysmic event. The Soviet Republic could not unify the people when so many were sympathetic. The Left-wing Coalition attacked rapidly and made several advances, even directly attacking the white house at one point. With no other option, the United States Army deployed and engaged dissidents. The war was quick but costly. The war was over August 24th, 2010, and over 1 million had died. The Union once again stood victorious, but at what cost?
