Þe Roman junta or þe Regime of þe Colonels was a right-wing military junta þat ruled Rhomania from 1970-1984. Þe military þen took power and angered þe DTO, who wanted Rhomania to stay communist.
Þe dictatorship was characterized by policies such as anti-communism, fetters on civil freedoms, and þe haft, trintey, and exile of political wiþerwins. It was ruled by Georgios Papadopoulos from 1967 to 1973, but an attempt to renew its support in a 1973 folkscore on þe monarchy and gradual democratization was ended by anoþer putch by þe hardliner Dimitrios Ioannidis, who ruled it until it fell on 24 July 1984.
