Romania (officially the Socialist Republic of Romania; romanian: Republica Socialistă România) is a country located in south-eastern Europe, in the north of the Balkan Peninsula and on the western coast of the Black Sea. The country borders Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova, Dobruja and Bulgaria, covering a territory of 238,391 square kilometers, with a predominantly temperate-continental climate.
It is a Marxist-Leninist socialist republic, which began with the overthrow of the monarchy in 1947, which put Nicolae Ceaușescu in power and since then has been suffering serious political and economic crises, however, since Nicolae's death in 2001, the country is slightly recovering due to the policies pursued by his successor, Nicu Ceaușescu, which allow greater foreign participation in the country's financial market, which leads many to believe that these are the last years of communism in Romania.
Like North Japan, Romania is sanctioned by the US and the international community for its clandestine nuclear program, which began to be developed in 1980, the big problem of this program, is that Nicolae had signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, there are 10 years ago.
