Romania entered WWII in 1941, having lost territory to Hungary and wanting new territory to replace what had been stolen from them.
The Transylvanian War[]
On July 27th the Romanian armies crossed the frontier into Transylvania. at first, the Romanian army had stunning success, cutting off Transylvania from the rest of Hungary.
Aftermath of the War[]
The war bled Romania white after suffering massive casualties.
