Ronald Greenwood (11 November 1921 – 9 February 2006) was an English soccer player and manager best known for managing the England national soccer team from 1977 to 1982, during which time the Three Lions won their first and to date only World Cup, while on home soil. Previously, Greenwood was the manager of West Ham United for 13 years, a period in which the club enjoyed much of its modern success. The role of England manager was his last.
