The current Primate, Sergei III (since 9 August 2012), succeeded Mikhael I, after the latter abdicated. There is also a directly elected State Council (The Orthodox Duma), which comprises the Council of Representatives and the Council of the Republic. Both councils are elected every five years and have 27 deputies each.
Ruska sends three representatives to the Parliament of the Siberian Confederation - one to the Siberian Duma and the other two to the Confederation Council.
