Russian Empire, as ally of Serbia, protested against the release of Dragutin Dimitrijević to Austria. During Austrian civil war, Russia supported Serbia for getting Bosnia. Germany threated Russia with war, but rest of Entente supported Russia, so Germany and Austria gave Bosnia to Serbia.
With start of First World War, Russia helped Great Britain against Germany. Germany therefore supported Vladimir Lenin and communist revolutionaries all aroud Russia, who 29. July 1917 captured Peterburg and started June revolution anf Russian civil war.
Soviet Socialist Republic of Russia (1917-1918)[]
After capture of Peterburg and Moscow, Lenin declared a new socialist state, that existed just during Russian civil war.Then he signed peace with Central Powers. After final defeat of Russian Empire, Soviet Union was created.
