Demographics[]

The Russian Empire is the largest land empire the world has ever seen, stretching from Europe to Asia to America.

Military[]

The Russian military is the largest in the world.

1924-The Petrograd military academy is set up for officers. It is based at West Point.

1937-The T-34 tank enters into mass production.

1942-In Russia the Borovkov B Ramjet fighters and BI-1 Rocket Fighter both enter service.

1951-The Cold War begins between Russia and America.

1952-The Space Race Begins with the Russians launching the worlds first artificial satellite,Spunik 1

Army[]

The IRA is the worlds largest ground force with approximately 1.6 million active personnel. The Army has plenty of modern equipment which are famous for being reliable and robust as well as state-of-the-art. The Army also has the worlds largest tank force, with approximately 120,000 heavy tanks such as the T-95 and the KV-42. An additional force of approximately 6,000 OB-660 Super tanks exist, although they are top secret. It is believed that the OB-660 (black Eagle) tanks have no equals. The Spetsnaz (the Special Operations Force of the Army) are among the most formidable special forces in the world.

Navy[]

The IRN is the largest navy in the world with approximately 400,000 active personnel and operate a fleet of 420 main surface ships and over 200 submarines. With seven supercarriers, 14 heavy carriers and one medium carrier (in the Caspian Sea) the Navy are capable of extending their massive firepower to any part of the world. The Navy also possess the largest number of Ballistic Missile submarines, with more than 120 of the Borei class submarines operating since 2003.The Osnaz (the Special Operations Force of the Navy) are among the most formidable special forces in the world.

Air Force[]

The IRAF is the largest in the world, and is well equipped with advanced aircraft. Modern fifth-generation fighters such as the MiG-49, the MiG-45, the Su-47 and the Yak-145 are being augmented by the new sixth-generation fighters such as the Su-50 and the MiG-50 which are claimed to be invisible to radar. IRAF also possess the largest and strongest strategic bomber fleet, consisting of Tu-225s which are to be replaced by the new Tu-260 (Night Fury) bombers which are also claimed to be invisible to radar. The Vityaz (the Special Operations Force of the Air Force) are among the most formidable special forces in the world as well as being the largest paratrooper force in the world.

Space Corps[]

With the militarization of Space, the Space Corps was founded in 1999. It is described as an extension of the Imperial Aeronautics Research Institute.

Imperial Intelligence Directorate[]

The Russian Military's intelligence wing has been used in covert operations across the world, counter-terrorism operations in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Chechnya and Russian occupied territories. The head of the directorate is also the Russian equivalent of a Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman.

Politics[]

Russia is a constitutional monarchy, with the Tsar having limited powers compared to before the revolution (called the Bolshevik rebellion ATL).

The real power lies in the Premier, who is the leader of the party that has the most seats in each Duma election (held every four years).
