The Russian Taoist Society (Russian: Русское даосское общество, Russkoye daosskoye obshchestvo; Chinese: 俄羅斯道教協會, Èluósī dàojiào xiéhuì) is a , religious movement in Russia that advocates Taoism and Taoist lifestyle among the peoples of Russia.
The movement was found by Mikhail Preobrazhensky, known by his Chinese courtesy name Báishǔ Wěi Cǎo (白鼠尾草, lit. "White Sage") an Imperial Russian Army veteran who traveled to and lived in China for the time-being. and became a Taoist, Báishǔ Wěi Cǎo was a person who was heavily critical against Western European society, and saw China as an example for the Russian people to live by. Báishǔ Wěi Cǎo however, regarded Taoism as less of a religion, and more of a beneficial lifestyle that promotes inner awakening.
Preobrazhensky was responsible for writing many esoteric books across Russia, which are now best-selling across both Russia and Ukraine. He now operates four temples across Russia.
