The Second French Empire( Le Deuxième Empire français) is a country in Europe. It borders Germany and Italy and has colonial borders with the united kingdom. Founded by Napoleon I in 1804, It has stayed a world power for over 200 years. With a population of 298 291 399 people, it is the 5th Most Populous Country in the world.
History[]
First French Empire ( 1804-1851)[]
In 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte declared himself Emperor Of The French, establishing the French Empire. Along with his vassal states in Italy and Benelux, France seemed to be on the verge of declaring a new European order. However a year later France lost the Battle Of Trafalgar, losing most of its navy to Britain. A coup of the Spainish Monarchy begin the Peninsular War(1805-1807), which tied up thousands of French troops in Iberia. From 1806 to 07, Russia along with Britain and Austria launched another invasion of France, surprising the Emperor. Coalition troops advanced through Germany and Italy as French troops rushed to defend againist the Coalition. In 1807, Napoleon made a surprising decision, to negotiate with the coalition.
The Treaty Of Vienna signed on November 15th 1807 forced France to give up most of its vassals except Belgium( annexed) and Savoy along with a small pierce of Germany in exchange for the French Empire to remain. While disappointing for Napoleon, the people was overjoyed as war was finally gone. From 1808 onwards, Napoleon overhauled the military and government, reducing his powers as he prepared for a actual peace time government, this included creating the position of Prime Minister and the National Parliament, a semi-democratic parliament. The military was reduced to 200 000 men from a wartime size of 500 000. Meanwhile, industrial facilities only seen in Britain started being constructed as the government saw a potential second war againist the coalition may begin in the next few decades. In 1811, Napoleon's son, Napoleon II, was born. He would later reign from 1821 to 1851. Napoleon's age begin to catch up to him, as he contracted tuberculosis in 1815. He surpirsly survived the disease, but begin to take a smaller role in the government. Napoleon fathered two more children in 1818 and 1820 before passing away due to a heart attack.

Second French Empire ( 1851-Present)[]
Napoleon III would begin the establishment of a overseas empire as a mainland empire would be unfeasible and he would be successful, with the conquest of most of Indochina except Burma and would create costal settlements in Algeria. He would also buff up his navy and would modernized his army. During the Italian Reunification War ( 1860-1868) and the and Cyprus War ( 1855-1856), he would inflict crushing Defeats on the Ottomans and Austria, Becoming a world power again by 1870. In 1888, France would hold the Conference of Paris, carving up Africa for the European powers and would form alliances with Russia and Italy. Napoleon III would die in 1885 and was succeeded by his son Jean-Napoleon Bonaparte, or Napoleon IV. From 1900-1914, France under Napoleon IV would begin an arms race with Britain with massive advances in technology like airplanes. During The Great War/WW1 ( 1914-1917) ,France, Russia, Japan and America would fight Britain, Germany and Turkey and would achieve a victory. The postwar period saw enormous economic growth and France becoming a World power after the fall of Britain with France competing with America. However, The Paris Stock Market Crash in 1930 would cause the great depression with the entire world being affected. In 1938, the Fascist Government Of Britain, along with Italy and Germany invaded France. France fell fast and by 1939, the last French troops departed to the colonies and would only return in 1942 in Operation Downfall where 2 Million troops landed in Normandy. After the end of the war in 1944. France would rebuild and by 1955, would return to pre-1930 levels with the economic and military thriving. From 1947-1985, France and Russia would be in a cold war with America before relations were strengthened. Currently, France is ruled by Jean-Christophe Bonaparte, 7th Emperor Of France.
Government[]
France Is considered a Constitutional Monarchy however it is government is democratic with power shared between the emperor and the parliament, the emperor still has enormous powers but is somewhat controlled by the government, called a imperial democracy. Currently, The ruling party is the Parti populaire démocratique impérial ( Imperial Democratic People's Party) with 67% of the seats in the parliament while the main opposition is the Parti Social Libéral de France with 20% of the seats. Several other parties worth Mentioning are the Front national progressiste, Parti royal des légitimistes-bourbons and the Parti démocrate français. While Napoleon I rule was absolute, his successors would establish the style of government we see today
Economy[]
France is the Second Biggest Economy in the world, with many items exported from France, most immigrants chose the work in France compared to other countries
Military[]
The French Empire has the third biggest army, with 3.2 million troops. Each troop is issued with a MR6 Assault Rifle. Its airforce consists of 3000 Fighter Jets, 2000 Bombers, 7000 Transport ships etc. etc. Its navy is one of the few to have modernized Battleships, Ships who trade armor for speed but still fit in the battleship criteria. It has 15 Battleships, 200 Destroyers, 129 Frigates, 34 Cruisers and 5 Carriers. Most of its military equipment is modernized, with some ships and airplanes reused from the 1980s-1990s. The MBT used is the Napoleon 2. France is now developing space weapons.
