The Second Republic of Texas, aka East Texas, was an unrecognized collaborationist regime established by the Russian Federation within their occupation zones within the United States during World War III.

Declaration of the Second Republic of Texas[]
The Second Republic of Texas formally declared independence from the United States on 24 January 2009. While the new self-proclaimed nation claimed all of Texas, most of the State remained under U.S. control due to the Russian military and Texian militia only reaching as far west as the suburbs of Dallas and Houston. Richard Lance "Rick" McLaren, whom Russian agents freed from prison, declared himself President of Texas and vowed that Texas would fight alongside its Russian allies against the "tyrannical" government of the United States which he claimed illegally occupied Texas since the end of the American Civil War in 1865. Major General Vyacheslav Nikolayevich Borisov, Commander of Russian Forces in Texas, was appointed as Governor General.
