The Second World War (also known as "Der Große Krieg" or "The Big War"; also colloquially known in the UK as "The Big One" ) is the single bloddiest conflict in human history. It started with a joint Brittish-French declaration of war on Germany.

The war is a complex conflict involving multiple factions and is traditonally considered four-stage:

1. Poland and buffer zones
2. Western Front
3. Soviet Front
4. African Front
