Senedd Cymraeg (Welsh Parliament) is the unicameral national parliament of Wales. It is directly elected at least once every five years under a system of the single transferable vote. Since 1924 it has met in the Parliament Buildings, Cardiff.

The first Senedd met on March 1st 1916 in Machynlleth, declaring an independent Welsh Republic.

In September 1924 the Parliament Buildings in Cardiff were completed, and became the new home of the Senedd.
