Basic analog oscilator element of the Shannon-Turing ZZ-1. 3600 of these oscilators were constructed at Princeton from April to November 1938.
The Shannon-Turing ZZ-1 special purpose computer built by Shannon and Turing in 1938 used electric circuits to generate the harmonics required in the Turing formula for the zeta function.
