He was the eldest son of Dikyi Khatoon. He was a Hindu, because according to Diamond Horde Khanate customs, the eldest son inherits his father's religion. All other children inherit their mother's religion. He built many railway lines and highways. His Khatoon was Stanzin Khatoon. He is known for being celibate until near the end of his life. His celibacy earned him the title "Shivaraj the Brahmachari." The title was later not used because he married. He was succeeded by his very young Khatoon. He had three sons, of whom his two younger sons became monks.
