Siona, officially the Republic of Siona (Hebrew:רפובליקת ציונה, sometime transliterated to Tziona), is a country located in western Africa. Siona is a major economic power in the continent, with the highest GDP per capita in Africa, and it is considered a large technological and industrial hub throughout the continent and the world.
It is currently the only Jewish majority nation in the world, with 15,917,056 Jews out of 21,131,086 people. Jewish settlement in the region started in the year 1905, following the announcement of the Guinea Plan by the French in 1899, where they'll take the sparsely populated region west of the Ivory coast and establish within it a Jewish protectorate in the region, with Jews from all over the world being able to migrate to it. Initially resistant, the Zionist community would slowly shift its opinions toward establishing a temporary home for the jews, only until Eretz-Israel (Palestine) would be freed, but as the nation would consolidate and grow economically, socially and would accept many Olims (Jewish immigrants), it would be accepted and welcomed by many Jews in Siona and globally as a true Jewish homeland.
Located on the northern coast, Siona's largest city is Eden, with 1.3 million inhabitants, and it is considered one of the most developed cities in Africa. It is the economical and industrial center of the country, with many towering skyscrapers and tech companies, as the high-tech sector is one of the largest sectors in the country economy. The port of Eden is also the country's largest seaport and most imports and exports go through it.
The capital of Siona, Herzeliya, is named after the founder of Zionism Theodor Herzl, and it is located inland.
The natives of Siona, known collectively in Hebrew as Shvaists (שבאיים, Shvai'im, from the word Shva, a biblical African kingdom) make up around 5.2 million people and include many diverse and unique groups. The largest of which is the Kpelle.
Siona is a member of the Congress of Nations (CoN), the Francophonie, the Alliance of Democratic Nations (ADN), the African Commonwealth and the West Africa Federation.
