South Sudan, officially the Republic of South Sudan, is landlocked nation located in eastern-central Africa. The county shares borders with Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, the Central African Republic (CAR) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). As of the 2010s decade, it is the youngest country in the world, having declared independence on July 9, 2011. Like it's neighboring countries, it suffers an LRA insurgency as LRA fighters often cross borders from Uganda.
Hunt For Joseph Kony[]
Kony was reported by U.S. Intelligence sources to be hiding one of the dense jungles near the Uganda-South Sudan border. On June 25th, a joint U.S.-Uganda-South Sudan military operation was conducted in order to capture Joseph Kony.
