Spiro Theodore Agnew was president of the Second North American Republic (1756 World) from 1979-1984, following the death of Nelson Rockefeller (1756 World). He became the first North American leader to establish relations with Germany (1756 World). He became increasingly close with Germany, and had plans to develop a Hydrogen bomb jointly with them. After the Empire of France and Catalonia (1756 World)bombed Toronto, Agnew was nearly deposed in a failed uprising. Because of these events, Agnew was not re-elected in the October 1983 election.
