Su Dingfang (Fidem Pacis)

Su Dingfang (AD 591-667) was a general of the Tang Dynasty of China, noted for defeating and subjugating the Western Turks in 659. With this campaign Chinese influence extended deep into central Asia, bringing it once more into direct contact with Persia and setting the stage for Chinese intervention in the Persian dynastic conflicts of the following century.
