Following the aftermath of Doomsday, many once-powerful nations were reduced to nothing but rubble, radiation, and ruin. However, from these ashes, many new nations emerged from remnants of the old, with some of these nations becoming even more powerful than their direct predecessors. Here is a list of post-Doomsday successor states, with a successor state being defined as "a state surviving or arising from the political collapse of 1983 which has presented an internationally-accepted claim to be the successor to a state existing before 1983 to which its state apparatus and/or people have demonstrable ties of continuity".
