Taking the West

In 1779 Nathanael Greene dies of a fever, meanwhile the British continue to take over America's southern colonies. Horatio Gates attempts to use full force to weaken the British army but this strategy ultimately fails and results in the United Kingdoms army being able move north with full force into Virginia. By September of 1781, with French forces almost entirely obliterated at the battle of Chesapeake American soldiers under the command of George Washington are forced to surrender to Charles Cornwallis and Great Britains soldiers.
