Between the strikes on Metz and Strasbourg, there was a lot of deaths and refugees in this region. Nearby German strikes would not help, either.

In addition, radiation from Paris and its multiple strikes would have hit the area pretty hard.

And, the northern parts of the states are already under the control of Luxembourg and the German states, while the southernmost areas are under the Alpines. Heck, Luxembourg control extends a fair ways beyond Metz, too, likely bringing them almost in control, if not in control, of the area.

Not very plausible.

I could restrict it to the southern part of the regions (Vosges and Haut-Rhin departments). That would put it away from the worst of the fallout. That would also keep it from Luxembourgh and the RF. I guess the present population would be 200-300K. Jnjaycpa 15:50, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
