To bring forward the issue of spaceflight (and in a larger frame more global themes in 1983: Doomsday) i propose the canonization of the LoN - Authority for Spatial Operations.

A frame I worked out now, some details are needed (site for ANZC launch site... etc. I already tried to refer to what I found in other articles, but not sure if got everything.

Harmonizing with League of Nations and other pages will be done if approved.

Thanks for your help and comments

I hope you don't mind,I changed the Siberian name to fit with what I started writing for the USSR.--Vladivostok 19:11, November 8, 2009 (UTC)
And I moved the page to a simpler title ("LoN -" will make linking awkward), and changed "spatial" to "space". "Spatial" is never used in English to refer to outer space. It's mostly used in geometry (the spatial dimensions of an object) and psychology (spatial awareness). Benkarnell 15:20, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
THanks BEn :) I know now why I was going nuts in algebra and geometry back in school ...:P thanks--Xi'Reney 18:01, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Name of Treaty[]

Changed the name name of the treaty to Treaty for Astronomical and Space Research (TASR), previous name seemed to bizarre and non english. --JorgeGG 21:12, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

But it's about "Space" and "Astronomical Research", not "Astronomical and Space Research". The word "Astronomical" goes with the word "Research", "Space" does not. The title should be "Treaty for Space and Astronomical Research" (TSAR), or "Treaty for Astronomical Research and Space" (TARS). --DarthEinstein 21:18, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Calculations[]

What the heck is "soloville"?--BrianD 01:20, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Solomon-Bougainville, I think. It's never been described in detail, but I know XiReney has described it as an aggressive state of some kind. Benkarnell 01:43, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
Ah, that explains it. Thanks, Ben.--BrianD 01:44, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

isn't the hole "Calulations" section a bit unnessacary on this page?--HAD 15:31, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Neil and Buzz[]

is there a chance that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin coulda survived? (Althistoryluver99 23:29, September 28, 2010 (UTC))

Neil lived near Lebanon, Ohio - a part of the Cincinnati Metro area, so he is likely gone.

Not a clue on Buzz Aldrin, but he has always been much more "public-oriented" than Neil, so odds are he is gone. Also, after his retirement from NASA, he went back to the USAF in a managerial role - I don't know when he retired from that, but more than likely it was after 1983. Odds are good he is dead too.

Challenger and Columbia Crews TTL[]

Where would the Challenger and Columbia crews be on Doomsday? I've been wanting to ask this question for a long time. Godfrey Raphael 15:59, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

At home in Florida, or in Houston, more likely than not. Both sites of which mean their deaths. Lordganon 22:29, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

Would Sigmund Jähn help the LoNASO and the European space programs?[]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigmund_J%C3%A4hn Jáhn was at Postdam during DD. If he survived, would he help the Prussian/East German goverment and the LoNASO to reestablish the space program? and what would he do with the soviets? CentraleuropeDD (talk) 15:21, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
