Maybe Bougainville tried to annex the nearby nation of Vanuatu but was stopped by the ANZC. This led to Vanuatu becoming an associated state of the ANZC.

This article has barely any plausibility, but I'm sure some tweaking and maybe make this a bit more interesting. ~UniversetheWorldbuilder
Go for it m8, it's honestly insane how this article has been able to stay up. I'd advise making this article solely about Bougainville, and splitting the Solomon islands off into its own thing. Thewolvesden 10:31, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
