There's a lot more places in the Ukraine than that that would have been hit.... four more in the Crimea alone I can think of - Kerch, Armiansk, Feodosiya and Yevpatoriya. Then there's all the industrial cities in the eastern Ukraine, Odessa in the southwest area of your claimed area, and at least Lodz in the western areas of Ukraine, prolly more there too.

Not saying a survivor state in the Crimea isn't plausible, but not one that big. Maybe occupying parts of Crimea that would be intact - around Yalta, prolly - and claiming the rest would be a good idea.

And a communist or socialist state in the western Ukraine would be unlikely - that area has such a history of anti-communism that it is unlikely. The territory occupied is not very plausible either, mind. --Lordganon 9:06, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Considering that Servastapool is a major port, it probably would have been nuked as well.HAD 16:27, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Considering it was the headquarters of the black sea fleet, definitely.

Much better borders now, though you need to turn down the population somewhat, as that is more people than the whole Crimea would have had at the time before the impacts, and there's no way there would be that many refugees.

It would likely be best to just remove the Republic of Ukraine bit outright.

If we're talking, what happened to Yevpatoriya? And why is Yalta bigger than Kerch?

Andreas.martonosy (talk) 16:29, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

Yevpatoria, while not hit, was a write-off in the end. Fallout.

Yalta is bigger because it suffered less after DD, had more refugees, became the capital, and had a lot of tourists become residents.

Recent Changes

I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my changes, but I felt compelled to rewrite some of the article. First there was a lot of spelling and grammar errors that I hope I corrected. Second there were a lot of inconsistencies in the article itself. For example, in some points it is called a Communist nation, in others a Democratic Republic.

Now for my more controversial edits. I removed the part about the "Crimean Angels." I could not find any record of such an organization existing, and since it is implied to have existed pre-Doomsday, it needs to be removed because all pre-Doomsday history must be the same as OTL. Instead I rewrote it saying that the Crimean Tatars just took the opportunity to establish their own nation. Also I removed the part about Crimea's military. Having an army is one thing, but what would a small former-Soviet survivor state suffering food shortages need with a large navy? Mitro 04:14, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
