Alternative History

Ha ha, this is quite a funny one. You quite captured the unvolontarily ridiculous side of conspiracy theories. Why not add aliens-based conspiracy theories? Like, things got sour between aliens and the US government at Area 51 when those aliens were warming up to the soviet side and the word was destroyed as a retaliation of the aliens over both superpowers as a result of the argument, viewing humans as too dangerous, unevolved and paranoiac for their own good. The preachers are kinda like the order of the solar temple.or Heaven's Gate. Full of the UFO culture that was and still is prominent mainly in the west coast and Alaska and is full of calls of redemption to acquire their favour and approval again so that humans can reach a higher level of existence and harmony with them.

Also for the last theory (the denial of doomsday), it should be expended to, for a sadder and darker touch, being proclaimed by survivors that fled nuked cities and are traumatized for life as a result. Seeking psychological refuge in denying the whole thing happened and transfering their hiddened anger towards a culprit responsible for their misery. Would make it all more human and deeper I think. What do you think?

Westboro Baptist Church[]

The Westboro Baptist Church (based in Casper, Provisional USA) are infamous for their eye-catching and often extremely offensive pickets. Members of the church believe that Doomsday "cleansed" the world of "sinners", and that the large amounts of conflict seen in the former USA (and most of the world) today is a continuation of this.

I removed this from the page when removing the proposal tag. (I had mentioned it at Talk:1983: Doomsday but nobody else commented.) Westboro Baptist Church isn't just a random extremist organization, it's an actual physical church located in Topeka, which certainly did not survive. And anyway, as of 1983 it had not yet started down the path that led to its notoriety. Even if one or more of its members had survived, I see this as unrealistically convergent. Maybe somebody can add notes about other fundamentalist groups with this same general philosophy; but having the same name and visual brand is just too convergent for my taste.
