- Is this going to be a Capet gaining a following in the Orleans region, or an upstart dynasty? I ask only because we seem to have a lot of legitimist dynastic restorations in this TL (my own country included), and too many might be a problem. Not everyone gets as excited by the prospect of reviving a historic royal house as, say, alternate history enthusiasts do. Benkarnell 02:57, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
- What I foresee is one of the well-to-do Royals in Monaco (be they Bourbon or Grimaldi) going up to the area and establishing some level of civility in a small area starting in 2000 that grows from there. Similar to this story. That's my idea. The royal wouldn't be out to take over -- they're just trying to help and have been named ruler despite their reluctance. - I'm assuming that Prince Jacques' older brother, Henri had died at some point between Doomsday and 2000 because surely he and not Jacques would have been the Orleanist pretender in 2000.
