I think this idea has real potential. A fragment of France that chose to embrace a monarchy or something close to one. --Yankovic270 03:26, September 27, 2009 (UTC)

I actually have an idea for this, I just haven't taken the time to write down the idea. Louisiannan 20:01, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
Is this going to be a Capet gaining a following in the Orleans region, or an upstart dynasty? I ask only because we seem to have a lot of legitimist dynastic restorations in this TL (my own country included), and too many might be a problem. Not everyone gets as excited by the prospect of reviving a historic royal house as, say, alternate history enthusiasts do. Benkarnell 02:57, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
What I foresee is one of the well-to-do Royals in Monaco (be they Bourbon or Grimaldi) going up to the area and establishing some level of civility in a small area starting in 2000 that grows from there. Similar to this story. That's my idea. The royal wouldn't be out to take over -- they're just trying to help and have been named ruler despite their reluctance. I'm assuming that Prince Jacques' older brother, Henri had died at some point between Doomsday and 2000 because surely he and not Jacques would have been the Orleanist pretender in 2000. As for the Legitimists in 1983 their pretender to the French throne would have been Alfonso, Duke of Anjou and Cadiz Verence71 16:13, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

legitament governments do come in fads--- they support each other's legitamancy. I suppose that the idea of royal renewals has become popular in the timeLine. I mean, most democracies follow a few basic forms, not because of mechanicle limits, but because other counties have the same system working-- why not a revival of monarchies-- it would be more unusual for just a few to form than for a lot, particuarly if they are in a cluster.

this is a promising idea

this looks promising and other morth scope to the north american region Owen1983 17:32, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Um...excuse me? Owen this country is in France not North America! Mitro 19:27, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Adoption Request

Hello, everyone. As you might be aware, Louis recently put several of his 1983: Doomsday articles up for adoption. After noticing this, I asked to adopt this article (and that of the Poitevine Republic), and Louis said yes. I am therefore officially adopting this article, barring any objections. Are there any? Nine days have passed. I assume there are no objections, and I'm officially adopting this article. Fed (talk) 06:55, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
