Categories and Templates Section

I noticed that Reximus has edited the rules to add things about categories and templates within the timeline. I would like to ask that we consider revising these rules. Firstly I'd prefer everything to be in one category for easy organization and so that everything can be easily located (just today actually I spent a good while searching for a page through the category system only to find that Reximus partially deleted pages from that category).

I'd also appreciate it if we could remove the rule about the work in progress category. First of all pages can still be a work in progress even when graduated, indicating that you are still working on them. It even says in the rules that just because a page is graduated, it does not mean it is 'done'. Also seeing that Bfox tends to graduate pages without some sort of graduation process when ever they look good, the writer can still be in the middle of writing it when graduated (such as my own). For these reasons I'd ask that these rules be reviewed and hopefully changed. Mscoree (talk) 04:36, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

There have been many complaints about Rex's category system, and though I'm not big on categorizing and all that jazz, I see the problems with his system and believe we should change it. Also, since the initial hype of this timeline has died down, I think we should consult with page authors about adopting their abandoned pages, having them redo them, or making them obsolete.

I think we should redo the rules to allow regular contributors to have more say in how the TL is run and done, to prevent an early-1983: Doomsday style free-for-all when it comes to the timeline, as I have a general idea of what I want to do with this TL and it's MUCH harder to plan ahead when everyone wants their hometown to head a large nation.

Just a few thoughts, Bfoxius (talk)
