Chilean occupation of Araucania[]
Chile attack on Araucania and Patagonia. I though they would stop after the recovered Araucania, but if you say they continue in Argentine territories (aka Patagonia), I'm not gonna say the contrary. Zamarak500 (talk) 21:12, March 24, 2016 (UTC)

Russian Conquest of Kokand[]
The Russian Empire (with an army of 800,000, probably about 200,000 involved) is invading Kokand in a surprise attack. The motivation is to promote our hegemony, and it began in 1861.5. In my turn, I assumed the Kokandi forces fled to their capital city and we are currently beseiging said city. Edit count found on User Page. Reximus | Talk to Me! 23:42, March 25, 2016 (UTC)

German Confederation War[]
- 1867
German South Confederation {Bavaria, Wurttemberg, Saxony, Baden, Hesse, Baden, Reuss-Greiz, Schaumburg-Lippe, Saxe-Meiningen, Nassau, Frankfurt and Liechtenstein, Lead by Austria}, Ottoman Empire, Russian Empire, Swiss Confederation, Belgium, Denmark vs North German Confederation{Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Oldenburg, Anhalt, Saxe-Altenburg, Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Lippe, Schwarzburg, Waldeck, Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover and Lübeck, Lead by Prussia}
Attacker: South German Confederation {Austria (
800.000 troops), Bavaria, Wurttemberg, Saxony (50.000 troops), Baden, Hesse, Baden, Reuss-Greiz, Schaumburg-Lippe, Saxe-Meiningen, Nassau, Frankfurt, Liechtenstein}, Russian Empire (600.000 troops), Swiss Confederacy (20.000 troops), Belgium (12000 troops), Denmark (10.000 troops), Ottoman Empire (100.000 troops)
- MOD: In 1917, the strength of the Austrian Army was 575,000. The available human resources to Austria would undoubtedly have been less in 1867. 800,000 troops are implausible.
- What are you even talking about we both know that during WW1 Austria had 7,800,000 troops fighting, if you don't believe me then check it here , while also in War of 1866 Prussian-Austrian War of 1866 Austria and her allies had close to 600.000 troops, and i have deployed a number close to OTL even though that i have significantly improved Austria from OTL.~Wrto12
Defender: North German Confederation{Prussia, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Oldenburg, Anhalt, Saxe-Altenburg, Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Lippe, Schwarzburg, Waldeck, Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover and Lübeck}

Still needs to be checked, gonna do a Mexican algo later. ~Wrto12
Technically the CSA is the attacker, not the defender, as they initiated the Civil War by attacking Fort Sumter. And even if the US were the attacker, you need to place the attacker side on the right place. The attacker is always on the left. Also, it's impossible to get to values of 100s of thousands. Please check again. Thanks. ~Tim
That algo is BS. non democratic government, war not supported by people. The Union is large the CSA is small. again the confederates attacker fort sumter. The union army is a bit bigger than the confederates and since only 6,000 troops were posted to the north it is safe to assume that the Union would outnumber the confederates a bit more. The motive is a lot stronger considering they are freeing black people (kinsmen) and (defending heartland from attack). When was there a mention of guirella warfare. The CSA user is not very active if you look at how often he posts. Person67 (talk) 08:47, April 2, 2016 (UTC)
Guys the algo was edited, i didn't edit it and i didn't have time to fix it. I have not add not democratic gov motive and some other stuff. War is not supported by the people, check mod events. CSA player is active, when the USA player has to post for more than 8 turns now. CSA isn't small check algo, even though the CSA is half the size of the USA, they cannot be placed as small nation, considering that modest size nation example is Sweden, the CSA is like 5 times bigger from Sweden. Motive is not of freeing black people, as this was merely a pretext for the Northern States to destroy the Southern economy and have good relationships with the rest of the world (by abolishing slavery), but i am adding defending heartland from attack, even though Rex told me there should be only one motive for each side. I didn't add the non- democratic gov and i erased it. I am also gonna erase the guerilla warfare. Wrto12 (talk) 11:51, April 2, 2016 (UTC)
Also i have 200,000 troops fighting side by side with the Confederate forces, troops are ok. Wrto12 (talk) 12:13, April 2, 2016 (UTC)
Just realized that after Texas seceded from the CSA, Mexico has no borders with the CSA ans CSA has no Navy, so the war should be over or it should have stopped, so i edited the algo accordingly. Wrto12 (talk) 13:44, April 2, 2016 (UTC)

I can't use the code for that table it is to complicated.
India
+7 (close to the war)
+2 (Land is fairly well known from the 2 opium wars)
+2 (attackers advantge
+3 for Taiping and +2 for Austria
+ 3.333 for military
+3.333 for technology

China
+10 (I gave them this because Yunnan is while inside the nation not acutally very near their supply lines. so I thought it sort of dumb to say they were close when they were just as far away as I was)
+4 (land is well known
+5 defenders advantge
+6.666 for military
+6.666 for technology
+6.666 for industry
+6.666 for economy
+0.666 for infrastructure

-2 (non- democratic goverment)
+10 large nation

-5 (for two concurrent wars)
-4 (Nian rebellion) -5 (Dungan Rebellion -5 (Miao rebellion)
1146*2*pie=72000.530362 = +2
limited troops (unless someone can provide me some concrete numbers from my reading at the time Muslims rebels were besieging Kumming so there would have been quite limited forces there)
23.3
So the total is 61.7526 and so I advance into Yunnan and cause damage to Qing forces.

German Confederation War[]
Needs to be checked.~Wrto12
A few problems here. For the focus bonuses, only apply the bonuses of the main countries involved. (Denmark's and the Netherlands' bonuses are irrelevant in this algorithm). Lübeck is independent of Hanover. Also, the average grade bonuses of all nations are involved in this algorithm since such a large number of nations are in this war. So you'd have to add all the grade bonuses of each nation on each side, then divide by the number of nations to get your average bonus before proceeding as normal. I should have clarified that in the rules, but that is how it's gonna work from now on. Even disregarding that, Prussia is more advanced than Austria in all areas except economy and infrastructure, so your calculations are incorrect in any case. Prussia & Co. had around 500,000 troops too. Lastly, please don't be lazy and disregard the chance.
Due to the massive inaccuracies in this algorithm, it is hereby voided, and must be redone. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 05:38, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
Look i never presented myself as an algo expert, i did what i can and honestly i don't know how to do chance, nor i am good at maths. If you could pls correct it, cause i can't. Also i know Prussia had 500.000 troops, but result from the last algo says clearly that they lost about half of their troops. Wrto12 (talk) 09:51, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
For some reason when i did this algo, i edited the one 1867 turn.Wrto12 (talk) 09:58, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

RESULT: The Korean navy successfully prevents Japanese troops from landing in Korea, inflicting minimal damage (~5%) on Japanese troop numbers. |
Needs to be checked (please provide unbiased feedback). I am unaware of Japanese troop numbers, so I settled for 10,000, a plausible amount considering it cannot transport more troops to Korea in time. – † ⌒⌒⌒\(;ᄋ;\)三(ノ>ᄉ<)ノ ~ ("니가먼저키스해!")

- I would like to become a moderator for Emancipation because I believe I will be able to assist in the creation of moderator events, the enforcement of plausibility and the creation of maps. I strongly believe that I possess the abilities to thoroughly research for events and to determine the plausibility of players' actions, and am able to create a positive and workable environment in which players can participate in this game.

- Event/Plausibility moderator
- I want to become a moderator for this map game to be able to create mod events and enforce strict plausibility. I think that can research for events and determine the plausibility of players' actions, and to assist at the creation of a good environment in which players can play in this game. While i also believe that mods should not be able to mod their nation's areas of interest/influence, like other games i have participated in.
After careful consideration, I have unfortunately chosen to reject your application. I apologise, and hope that my decision will not retract from your enthusiasm. Please keep in mind that you may reapply in the future if you so wish. Thank you for applying, and I hope to see you in-game! — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 06:52, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

- Technology/Plausibility Moderator
- I would honestly like to be Technology/Plausibility moderator to enforce strict plausibility not just in the game's events or in the ability of the playes to influence events in history but also technological progress. My scientific expertise and my knowledge of technological innovations can help with this (despite the failed technology-related timelines). Great. >:( Oh well. That aside, I wanted to actually do this because I want to be dedicated to something that is not in my own works. And for once, actually do something interesting. :P

- Plausibility moderator
- I follow very closely with map games and have had experience modding a rather popular game a few months ago. I like this map game very much, and want to see it improve over time. That being said, I see places that are majorly in need of an objective observance. Also, this mod team needs to get on the ball with algorithms, etc. I will not be playing in the game, but will act as an objective observor.

- Event/Plausibility moderator (Occasional mapmaker or algomaker should the game require it)
- What this game now needs is an active moderator team and plausibility to be strictly enforced. I am capable to research for events and determine the plausibility of players actions. This few last turns proved that moderators shouldn't mod their areas of interest, that's why i am also proposing to make mod either an observer, a user experienced enough which has not signed up yet, or a non-European (Nation that plays as) player, there are plenty of players in the rest of the world, having for mod only players that play European nations, is just gonna create more troubles and bias. When a war erupts in Europe/the world many mods may seek to use their mod abilities to win it, that's why you will need to have an active moderators base, with representation from both sides/ that isn't one sided, in including observers too and the mod team must not be compromised out of player that play as European nations, but spread it to include nations around the world. This could actually save this game.
*Cough cough* Me, biased? *Cough cough* Nah, just kidding. I approve your application. Good luck, Wrto. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 13:55, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
Map Issues[]
We still need to identify most of the Pacific Islands, and make sense of India/Central Asia. Other than that, the map is pretty well situated for the start of the game, with ANUCS coloring throughout. We will need to color in some nations (esp. in Latin America) as players begin to join. - Austria gave Italy every Austrian territory that is inhabited by an ethnic Italian majority (Veneto,Trentino,
South Tyrol,Friuli,Trieste, not Istria) but not the lands which ethnic Germans inhabited (NOTE most of Trentino is Italian but nowdays South Tyrol-German majority areas still remain an Austrian territory, see ethnological map http://i.imgur.com/mChyBUo.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_and_religious_composition_of_Austria-Hungary#/media/File:Austria_Hungary_ethnic.svg - Wrto12 (talk) 14:37, March 28, 2016 (UTC)
- Since the treaty with Italy, the Papal States are now limited to a slightly larger Vatican City, and Castel Gandolfo (as well as some extraterritorial buildings). Some issues[]
Upon looking over the page I decided I'd give you some advice on both the modslist as well as the nations.
First of all, the modslist is weird honestly. Ace, Oct and AH aren't worthy enough of being mods. Fires and Rex are rightfully there. I'd look for people as Scraw or Sky to be mods.
Now, the nations lsit is another big concern. Primarily, Eric being the United States(THIS MAY BE FIXED AFTER POSTED). You may not know Eric, but if you ask around of look into it yourself you'll find that he's just blatantly incompetent. If you let him be the US, the game will die. Another mistake is Spar as China(IMO). A less clear one is Ace, who I'd doubt but might be good enough.
If I were you, my main focuses would be improving your modslist, taking playaers like Eric and Spar away from big nations and attract more reasonable/big players.

Spar, I was polite to you when informing you, and I expect you to be polite on this talk page and/or in-game. I will not tolerate rude behaviour on this talk page. Mutual respect is the watchword here. Do not overstep, Spar — I do not have unlimited patience. This is your first and final warning. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 00:56, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
I agree with Sean, nor Eric neither Spar are worthy of playing superpowers, that will define our map game for years to come. Wrto12 (talk) 20:02, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
I hate complaining but the time has come. I can slightly understand why Britian would intervene in the American Civil War, Pourtugal I can understand due to them being a British ally, Austria, I can sort of cope with that. But Denmark? Forgive me if I am wrong but Danish-American real options were OK in that time and wasn't Denmark the first country to end slavery why would they then support a state who's purpose is to have slaves. Please correct me if I have made any mistakes.

Conscription in the South[]
In OTL, when Davis forced a draft of citizens for the army, many states got mad at Davis and threatened secession from the Confederacy, because he was abusing the power of the federal government, which is inferior to state governments. Since in this game, he asked for so many more conscripts than in OTL, there would be even more outrage. For that reason, I was wondering if I could join as Georgia or Texas, both of which had very states' rights governors, and secede from the Confederacy. And yes, this actually was the threat (texas almost did it). -Unsigned comment by Vatonica
I don't have any problem with that, they are a confederacy after all لا إله إلا الله † وعيسى ابن الله 12:46, March 26, 2016 (UTC)

Toucouleur Empire request to move to Tier C[]
I would request a military tier for Toucouleur Empire upgrade to Tier C since Ethiopia and Rwanda are in tier C and they used riflemen, shotguns and gunpowder related weapons( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Medina_Fort, http://www.afropedea.org/tukulor-empire-segu-tukulor-empire-toucouleur-empire, http://www.africansuccess.org/visuFiche.php%3Fid%3D337) I will also be using tier C military for the war algorithm.
Thisismacedon (talk) 22:54, March 27, 2016 (UTC)
Seriously? I mean if that request is approved Austria and Toucouleur Empire are gonna have the same military tier, SERIOUSLY? Austria was a great power at this time where Toucouleur Empire are just some tribal savages. Wrto12 (talk) 12:14, March 28, 2016 (UTC)

Technology Request - Cannon Technology - Orangebird763[]
I feel that the Kingdm of Hawaii should learn the technology behind cannons, as most of the world has this technology already. Knowledge and extra gunpowder for the tech presumably comes from Australian trade, and after doing some research I found Hawaii had firearms in their military; this leads me to the conclusion that there are metal casting facilities in the kingdom, and that sufficient gunpowder is available, from either OTL trade routes or produced on the islands. Although the kingdom may have been behind in technology, I feel that the secrets of cannon warfare should be discovered and would give a significant advantage over other Pacific nations like Tahiti.

Austria's unfair tierGrade(Request to move to tiergrade A or B)[]
Austria, a great power at this time, has tiergrade C military, is in the same tiergrade with other nations like Toucouleur Empire, which are a tribe in Africa at this point and one tiergrade less than nations like Bavaria and Denmark, therefore i request to move up 2 tiersgrades as i originally was, before Person67 change the tiersgrades and if this is not accepted for some reason, i request to move up at least one tiergrade, after all i did some reforms to the Austrian military, aiming to maximize efficiency and speed up mobilization(Copied in some areas the Prussian army). Wrto12 (talk) 12:28, March 28, 2016 (UTC)
I approve Austria upgrading to Grade B, but it as this time cannot be an A-Grade military, in my opinion. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 13:21, March 28, 2016 (UTC)

Economy/Industry Grade Request - Grade C/D - Orangebird763[]
I would like to request a move to Grade C in economy, as the Hawaiian pineapple trade was several investors, a fishing industry is being set up, there is an island-wide pineapple plantation in Lana'i, and the mines and metal facilities on Kahoolawe. I wasn't sure if this would fit into either economy or industry, but in either case, I would like to request being moved up one grade. Thank you for reading.

Tahiti Military Grade[]
In my largest victory over Tahiti, Tahitian military grade dropped by 1. However, it is in Grade E; would there be a Grade F (+0), or can it not go any further? Thanks.
--Orange (→My wall!←) 17:15, April 3, 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm, I never really thought about that. I guess the military would not be able to provide any more point benefits, although it would still theoretically exist, and it wouldn't be an actual grade. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 00:56, April 5, 2016 (UTC)

Economy/Infrastructure Grade request for Austria[]
I have done extensive efforts to improve the Austria economy such as opening up many new banks, in a collaboration between the public and the private sector, that have imrpoved the economy significantly, by loaning private investors to create new companies and by loaning the state to fund several projects, thus significant growth has been achieved. (*Note Austria had only one state owned bank, that the state was overloaned after the wars of the Italian Unification)
The same can be said for the Infrastructure, as many new railroads and highways have been contructed by now, especially in a geographical area covering western Austria, as the east have been neglected a little. Infrastructure projects have been partially funded by construction companies, who loaned the money from our various banks, while the state also put some money, most of which have been loaned by our various banks.
Therefore i request my Economical Grade to move up to Grade B from Grade C and my Infrastructure Grade to move up to Grade B from Grade C.
There are nation like Denmark, the British Raj, Bavaria,Spain and Russia in Grade B in both the Economical and the Infrastructure Grades, so i believe that my Grade requests are very plausable/realistic.
Thanks you for taking this into consideration.

Hello. In my most recent algorithm, I found that my seige of Tahiti's capital of Papeete was successful. Is it possible that my military captures the Tahitian government, and Tahiti collapses into anarchy? If so, what effects of the anarchy will be on the invasion (like easy annexation, all Tahitian grades move to F, all Tahitian troops obliterated, etc.)? Thank you for taking the time to read this.

National service results in a fairly sizeable army of around 60,000 professional troops and over 100,000 highly trained reservists, and the latest agreement with the British Raj adds 50,000 more troops to our disposal. The Swiss arms industry OTL was the largest and highest quality in the world when it came to rifles, pistols and cannon, meaning the Swiss Army is equipped with superior weaponry to many other nations.
I also request a change in Economic Grade from D to B, or maybe even A. Currrently, it is ranked next to Leichtenstein, a nation of around 15,000 people, and obscure African tribal states, when in reality OTL the Swiss economy was emerging as a strong and stable European powerhouse. Indeed, today it has the highest GDP per capita in Western Europe, and the 9th best in the world. Swiss banks were amongst the best in the world OTL, and thanks to numerous trade agreements I have made with Austria, Britain, India, Australia and the Ottoman Empire I must be the largest distributor of luxury goods in Europe. I have exclusive rights to Indian silks and spices after Britain, strong stakes in Australian steel, and have a monopoly on brokering Ottoman goods in Northern and Western Europe (hopefully...). I am also the largest arms exporter in the world, and a large portion of the weapon and munitions in the German Confederation War are manufactured and supplied by the Swiss realistically. Thanks to a new agreement with India, I have two large purpose built ports to supply my goods to Asia. I also control the Suez Canal, which when it opens in 3 years will give me control of at least a third of the world's trade.
Currently, I do not believe I have been given an Infrastructure Grade. I request an entry at a B, due to the Swiss position as a sophisticated, established and wealthy Western nation. Over my turns so far I have invested in rail networks, public transport, and logistics infrastructure, so I believe I should be in a position to ask this.
Cheers,
Centurion (talk) 22:19, April 6, 2016 (UTC)
Even though your forces are over-sized and Swiss Confederacy could never realistically own/control the Suez Canal, as it has no access to the sea, i approve your military grade request from D to C, your economic grade from D to B and your infrastructure grade at B, cause grades are a little messy.
Wrto12 (talk) 18:53, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
Lol, why is a force of 150,000 over sized its quite a bit less than 7% of the population, which is the maximum percentage that can be recruited before significant economic impact. Also why is owning the Suez Canal unrealistic as it was owned OTL. - His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Romanus (talk) 20:22, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
New gun invention?[]
Hi, I wanted to ask that if Belgium could invent a new form of machince gun, or a similar contraption, around 1870? Belgium does have a Grade B in technology, and had developed the Montigny mitrailleuse, which was a crank operated machine gun developed by the Belgian gun works of Joseoh Montigny, as well as some gun-making companies would be interested in creating new weapons as Belgium has just joined the war between Prussia and Austria on the Austrian side. Thank you! Krystocat (talk) 00:17, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

Algo Changes for the Future[]
Is there a way to add troop training and logistic ease to the algo? 1000 British troops vs. 1000 tribesman with identical weapons and other variables would still be a British victory due to their training, and no nation can support a war if logistically they must pass through neutral or enemy territory to get there. Also, trade blockades should help reduce morale and technology: Royal Navy or other powerful naval forces could prevent food reaching the enemy nation in a Battle of the Atlantic style attack.

Very fair indeed[]
Tim i was looking for you three days now to discuss about if this is implausable or not but you never show up, while apparently your wish to crush me in game, has overcome your reason, especially now, since i will not be able to post, you will crush me of course, if this is biased in your favor, i will let the other players to decide. (1Note i am online in the wiki once a day, only in a spesific time, your timezone is very far away from mine, so you propably can't enter the wiki in the hours that i am online)(2Note you didn't even let me to explain you why i think this is plausable, just banned me, however i will defend my case, look during WW1 Austria had 7,800,000 troops fighting, if you don't believe me then check it here , while also in War of 1866 Prussian-Austrian War of 1866 Austria and her allies had close to 600.000 troops, and i have deployed a number close to OTL(800.000 troops) even though that i have significantly improved Austria from OTL.Triumph is at hand (talk)
I agree. You did not say anything to him, and he clearly asked for you to check on his plausibility. His ban is unfair and such poor administration might bring the destruction of the game. – † ⌒⌒⌒\(;ᄋ;\)三(ノ>ᄉ<)ノ ~ ("니가먼저키스해!")
As above- Centurion (talk) 13:09, April 8, 2016 (UTC) (PS: That signature tho^^^)
I did not receive any notification whatsoever as to whether he wanted this to be discussed or not. This is a violation of the rules, and it will not be tolerated. I do not intend to crush you. I do intend to come down harder on plausibility (although I can't do mod comments on everyone all at once, being a typically extremely busy person with an IRL life). I gave you plenty of warnings, telling you three turns in a row that what you were doing was implausible. I expected you to find a more appropriate number. When you add your numbers up (800,000 in 1866.5, additional 400,000 in 1867) it becomes 1,200,000! One million two hundred thousand! That is way past your 800,000 limit. Also, the troop numbers cited in your protest are from World War I, not the Austro-Prussian War, which was nearly 50 years earlier. There is a huge difference between the two conflicts. World War I troop numbers are not an accurate comparison. The ban stands. I advise you to be far more careful in future. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 13:30, April 8, 2016 (UTC)
Well i was looking for you, i don't know what happened i posted on your talk page, someone might have erased it, or idk, plus i after you crossed out my 400.000 reinforcements, i didn't mentioned them again, i posted that i had 800.000 in total, so that's not 1.200.000 million troops, while i agree with you at coming down harder on implausability, i am one of the least implausable players here, there are other people way more implausable that you should rekt their whole turns, given that you are planning to attack me next turn, making me unable to act in this crucial time, is gonna minimize my nation's chances to win the war, so i plea you to at least reduce my ban so that i can try to save my nation from defeat, (If i was banned in any other occasion i wouldn't even protest, but given what's happening, i have to) Also in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austro-Prussian_War Austria had 600000 troops. Also about WW1 i was referring to the comment you made in the War algorithm requests German Confederation War "MOD: In 1917, the strength of the Austrian Army was 575,000. The available human resources to Austria would undoubtedly have been less in 1867. 800,000 troops are implausible. " Wrto12 (talk) 19:53, April 8, 2016 (UTC)
My apologies for the misunderstanding. I will iron out and deal with the other implausibilities in due time before I start the next turn. Please understand that I too am very busy, and do not have all the time in the world to manage all aspects of this game (which is why there are supposed to be multiple mods). Please be patient. I will allow you to have 800,000 troops, but keep in mind that your troops will be outgunned by your Prussian adversaries, as they have an A-Grade military, while you do not. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 01:54, April 9, 2016 (UTC)
Argument in Page[]
- WHERE IS THE NEW TURN BTW?
- ALSO, WHATS WITH ALL THE SHIPS? THE ROYAL NAVY OTL, BY FAR THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD, HAD LESS THAN 50 IRONCLAD SEAGOING WARSHIPS. UNLESS ALL THESE KOREAN, INDIAN SHIPS ETC ARE WOODEN HULLS AND HAVE NO ARMOUR, WHY ARE PEOPLE BUILDING DOZENS, SOMETIMES HUNDREDS OF THEM? NO WAY IS THE ROYAL NAVY ONE OF THE SMALLER NAVIES HERE... I MIGHT BE COMPLETELY WRONG AND THE 120 KOREAN NAVAL STEAMSHIPS ARE WOODEN, WHICH IS UNLIKELY AS IT WOULD BE OUTDATED TECH, IN WHICH CASE I APOLOGIES, BUT I'VE BEEN CALLED ASB AND YET THIS HAPPENS.... A REASONABLE EXPLANATION WOULD BE IF MANY WERE COASTAL DEFENCE SHIPS (not seaworthy) OR PATROL AND LOGISTICS SHIPS. ps: this isn't again Korea that was just the most recent example. Apparently the Netherlands have 600 ships? And India are building an ironclad naval fleet over half the size of the RN's...
- Well, as I told you in chat, you're specifying a specific type of steamship, whereas my numbers include all types of steamships, including all seafaring, coastal defence, logistics, patrol etc. Next time, please know the difference. And also, Japan experienced the same type of naval expansion in the Meiji Restoration, so such figures wouldn't be implausible.
- Talk page please
- "Due to British leadership in the Industrial Revolution, the country enjoyed unparalleled shipbuilding capacity and financial resources, which ensured that no rival could take advantage of these revolutionary changes to negate the British advantage in ship numbers. In 1859, the fleet was estimated to number about 1,000 in all, including both combat and non-combat vessels.[55] In 1889, Parliament passed the Naval Defence Act, which formally adopted the 'two-power standard', which stipulated that the Royal Navy should maintain a number of battleships at least equal to the combined strength of the next two largest navies." ~ excerpt from Wikipedia. The Korean Navy is less than 12% of that, and that's an outdated figure from 1859. Unless you provide further proof on your claim, your claim is unsupported and false.
- A) That isn'n ironclads so how is it evidence in any way. B) I thought we had discussed this and sorted it out on the talk page. I withdraw my arguement as its is all types of steamships. My evidence was from wikipedia's list of RN ships-of-the-line and so doesnt apply to all types. As we discussed, and I thought sorted, my problem is not with this. The very evidence you put states that the RN should maintain a number of battleships at least equal to the combined strength of the next two largest navies, and yet one nation posted (may have been Netherlands) that they were moving all 600 of their ships: just identifying an issue. My problem is merely in ensuring it is fully explained, though how India is establishing its own very large and independent ironclad fleet', I do not know. Candies, I have no problem with the Korean navy and I rescind my comment. As i said originally you were merely an example, albeit a mischosen one. Can we settle on this? Yours, -Centurion (talk) 14:12, April 8, 2016 (UTC)'
- No, it states that the British navy in 1859 (a little less than a decade from now) had a total of 1,000 modern ships, and the number of modern steamships in Korea is less than 120, 12% of the figure. Let's just declare the conversation as resolved. – † ⌒⌒⌒\(;ᄋ;\)三(ノ>ᄉ<)ノ ~ ("니가먼저키스해!")
- Gladly, let all who see this note it as a forgotten and irrelevent dispute-Centurion (talk) 14:22, April 8, 2016 (UTC)

- Seriously can you be more biased than you are now, i don't think so cause you have reached the top biasedness. France actually wanted to help Austria in the war against Prussia but didn't have the chance too cause war was very short, while also they claimed rhineland, which i will give them as soon as war finishes. Greece has a user, you just modded for a player controled nation and Italy has friendly relations with me, while i gave them Venetia and some other ethnic Italian areas, in exchange for an alliance and future help, why would they not help me i fail to see. France also wouldn't let Britain crush Austria for the sake of preserving the balance of power in Europe. So i wonder how can you be so biased, being head mod doesn't means that you should exploit that, while usually in every serious game mods don't mod what's effecting them, Rex should do it, he is neutral to this by the way. If you don't stop being so biased, i can see more than 1/3 of the players of the game leaving, i have talked to many people, so good luck playing with every newcomer that joins from now on, cause all the experienced users are gonna quit this game if you continue being biased against everyone.~Wrto12

- Indeed, stop being so biased. And you didn't even explain on why Austria has debt. Just reminding you, Austria is one of Europe's industrial and economic centres, being one of the largest and most advanced economies. And also, please provide us sources for your claims.
- "The Austro-Hungarian economy changed dramatically during the existence of the Dual Monarchy. The capitalist way of production spread throughout the Empire during its 50-year existence replacing medieval institutions. Technological change accelerated industrialization and urbanization."
- "The GNP per capita grew roughly 1.76% per year from 1870–1913. That level of growth compared very favorably to that of other European nations such as Britain (1%), France (1.06%), and Germany (1.51%)"
- "Meanwhile, western areas, concentrated mainly around Prague and Vienna, excelled in various manufacturing industries."
- "The empire's heavy industry had mostly focused on machine building, especially for the electric power industry, locomotive industry and automotive industry, while in light industry the precision mechanics industry was the most dominant. Through the years leading up to World War I the country became the 4th biggest machine manufacturer in the world."
- our abuse of power is ridiculous. You use mod events to ensure British victory, you regard conflict with your interests as implausible, and you use strikes and bans to terrorise users and ensure they cannot respond to your turns (eg. Austria even if you did apoligise after many complaints). You cannot say that revolt against possibly the most hated nation in the world, Britain, is so implausible it is worthy of a strike. On the contrary it is VERY plausible, as shown above. If you continue to behave in this manner, I am sure many will approach the committee. I say this in resignation that you will probably have my country destroyed through mod events, or my account banned for implausibility, despite not receiving any strikes so far. ~Emp
- MOD: The Dual Monarchy didn't come into existence until after the Austro-Prussian War. Also, Austria was heavily in debt, while the Prussian economy was thriving during this time. "In 1866, the Prussian economy was rapidly growing, partly as a result of the Zollverein, which gave Prussia an advantage in the war. Prussia could equip its armies with breech-loading rifles and later with new Krupp breech-loading artillery but the Austrian economy was suffering from the effects of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 and the Second Italian War of Independence. Austria had only one bank, the Creditanstalt and the state was heavily in debt." (Austro-Prussian War on Wikipedia)
- MOD: As for the "rebellions" in Britannia, I have this to say:
- Boer War: The circumstances leading up to the Boer Wars do not exist yet. The Boers were only majorly agitated in 1877 when the Transvaal Republic was attacked by Britannia, when OTL Britain attempted to annex Transvaal into the Empire.
- Irish uprisings: Okay, I admit the Irish were protesting during the 19th century, but the Irish independence movement did not really gain steam until the 20th century, and the federalism introduced in the United Kingdom by the Imperial Reform Act ATL would have at least partially appeased these people. In any case, the Netherlands would find it very hard to smuggle stuff into a hostile country.
- Red River Rebellion: The main reason for this was the anti-French lieutenant-governor William McDougall. This only happened in 1869 and thus will never happen now due to the changes ATL (Imperial Reform Act).
- Lower Canada Rebellion and Rebellions of 1837: Happened in 1837. Quebecers have been quiet since then. The Netherlands would again find it very hard to get stuff into Canada, of all places.
- Rum Rebellion: Happened in 1808, and was not hatred towards Britain, but personal enmity towards the Governor, William Bligh.
- Indian Rebellion: Again, this was not hatred towards the crown, but an uprising of the sepoys against the British East India Company. The government since fixed this, and all the princes now get a say in governance of the Indian Empire. Surely they'd be at least partially appeased.
- New Zealand Wars: Seriously? Seriously? Do you know how far away the Netherlands is from New Zealand? The Maori would not care at all about the Dutch anyway.
- All these examples that you cited either have not happened yet and thus may never happen due to changes ATL, happened too long ago to have any significant impact on the British population now, were not caused by the Imperial government but by the actions of governors or companies, or are just too far away from the Dutch to even care about Dutch propaganda. I challenge you to find examples of true meaningful rebellion that could possibly be flared up by the Netherlands. I rest my case.
Sort it out in the talk page. Person67 (talk) 12:38, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

Announcement[]
After careful consideration, I have decided to temporarily resign from this game. I deeply and sincerely apologise for the manner in which I have moderated, sometimes breaking the very rules I wrote. I will return after a few days, and I will re-register as a lesser nation. This game has taken a toll on me, and I suppose playing as the "greatest empire in history" wasn't the best of ideas. I wish to lock out the United Kingdom from player control, and I wish for the Imperial government of Britannia to instead be controlled by a coalition of moderators, as it is too big and too powerful to be headed by one individual.
That being said, I still firmly believe that I am not the only person at fault here. The inaccuracies of claims made by certain players are still there, and thus I ask everyone to re-evaluate their actions throughout this game. I hope to return with a fresh and neutral mind, perhaps this Wednesday or Thursday, in which to moderate with a better conscience.
Again, I sincerely apologise for my misconduct as head moderator of this game. I really want this game to succeed, and I have put my heart into it. But maybe I put a little bit too much. I can say with complete honesty that I have researched every single one of my claims before posting them, so they are not totally biased.
I must most apologise to Wrto, who I have treated badly throughout the game. I confess that this is a bias carried over from 95 Theses, when he deeply offended me with one of his comments (which I will not post here). Retaliation is never a good thing, and I hope that with time we can patch things up and break even.
Anyway, in the meantime I'd like to nominate Rex to be the interim head moderator in my stead. And, if everyone really insists, I will step down permanently to a lower moderating position in favour of Rex. Voting will be in the form of a poll to maintain your anonymity.
Once more, I most sincerely apologise, and hope that all is not lost for this game.
Most sincerely and regretfully,

Japanese-Korean war.[]

That's intentional. The attacker's infrastructure is left out in the algorithm. And, most importantly, yes you are right that Korean and Japanese development are different. Japan's systems are totally incompatible with Western development models. – † ⌒⌒⌒\(;ᄋ;\)三(ノ>ᄉ<)ノ ~ ("니가먼저키스해!")

Peace Treaty for the German Confed War[]
We need a peace treaty we all agree on on the talk page because I can't find it anywhere I would like to get my due of the rewards. ~ Blocky
Look as soon as Britain attacked Austria, Austria peaced out with Prussia, Prussian forces were crippled but not crushed. Areas Austria took from Prussia were agreed in a peace agreement. Right now you are still at war with Prussia, an algo needs to be made but there is no algo mod available. I am not good at making algo's and if you are able to do the algo i will check it and confirm it. Or just make peace with Prussia with minor gains. Right now none of you should be able to defeat each other, Prussia cause their army is crippled and you cause you can't possibly occupy big parts of Prussia, since you don't have the troops required, so you are technically in a stalemate. Wrto12 (talk) 15:17, April 15, 2016 (UTC)
It is also worth noting that Prussian Poland has fallen entirely under Russian de jure and de facto control as a result of a separate peace conducted between Prussia and Russia. Reximus | Talk to Me! 05:46, April 16, 2016 (UTC)
@ Wrto Yeah, no. A mod event said that the Prussians had lost the German Confed War, which means that there needs to be a peace treaty. ~ Blocky
@Blocky No mod event ever said that, here are all mod events about Prussia and German Confed War:
1867The German War begins as the various German states meet each other in battle; the Confederation falls apart entirely.
1867In response to the collapse of the Confederation, Bismarck issues a proclamation on the formation of a North German Confederation, to encompass Prussia and all her allies, excluding Austria and her associates. This new Confederation is headed by Wilhelm I of Prussia.
1867.5The German War continues to tear through the region, with Prussia and Austria evenly matched. Austria has more in numbers, but Prussia's military is more advanced. The war reaches a stalemate.
1868In the Prussian War, the Austrian force makes substantial headway, tearing into Prussia from all directions. Most of Prussian Poland has fallen under Russian control, with large many of the Prussian allies starting to fall to the South German Confederation.
1868.5Austrian advance begins to slow as dwindling supplies and British opposition grind them to a halt. (TBC)
1868.5Prussia's economic advantage over Austria begins to become evident, as Austria's massive debt greatly debilitates the Habsburg war machine. Meanwhile, the large agricultural population of Prussia are easily able to supply the front with food, and Bismarck's aggressive economic policies allow the country to continually produce other necessities for the war effort.
1870A disgraced Otto von Bismarck is dismissed from the Chancellorship following his failure to secure a Prussian victory in the German War. He is replaced by the more liberal Leo von Caprivi, who has announced his aims to reform the Prussian military and accelerate industrialisation and commercial development.

How do we play? And can I join as North American socialist rebels?
HAHA123 (talk) 16:02, April 24, 2016 (UTC)
No, you cannot. You can choose from the nations available in the sign-ups list. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 02:58, May 3, 2016 (UTC)
Grade upgrades[]
I just wanted to ask if Belgium's industry and infrastructure could be upraded from Grade Cs to Grade Bs, as I have done much industrialization and built up the infrastructure of Belgium. I don't see this as implasuible as the Netherlands, a nation of very similar size, is both Grade B for those two categories. Krystocat (talk) 23:26, April 23, 2016 (UTC)
Additionally, could Belgium develop better rifles, artillery or something of the likes as it is a Grade B for tech, manufactures milatreuse guns, and is being attacked right now, so it would make sense they are focusing towards doing so. Krystocat (talk) 23:26, April 23, 2016 (UTC)
Netherlands has always been mor advanced than Belgium, trade has historically helped the nation's growth, Belgium right now has a small fleet and a few commercial ships... Wrto12 (talk) 23:34, April 23, 2016 (UTC)
If you don't mind me asking (And I don't mean to be arguing or anything, I know mod decisions are final, I am just curious), what is the connection between the infrastructure and industry grade of Belgium, and it's navy's size? Industry is the factories and similar things, as well as it's production, and infrastructure is things like roads, as well as public services? If I'm not mistaken of course. And I do understand trade is aiding/aiding in the Netherland's development, but it started at a Grade B as well. I have industrialized the nation and done work towards the infrastructure as I stated before. But, either way I guess it doesn't matter, I'm just curious. Plus odds are in the next few turns most or all of the Kingdom of Belgium will be invaded and taken over, as well as it's colony. Krystocat (talk) 01:10, April 24, 2016 (UTC)
Netherlands development has been founded by trade since its independence. Dutch fleets sailed and treaded spices and other stuff... Wrto12 (talk) 20:27, April 24, 2016 (UTC)
Could I also receive a response for Hawaiian grade upgrades? It's been nearly a week with nothing...
"Hello. I would like to request two grade upgrades. First, my upgrade to Grade D in Industry, as I have made many industrial efforts throughout my commonwealth: pineapple plantations, sugarcane, fishing, metalworking, etc. Second, as I have been continuing to work on improving infrastructure for the past few years and modernizing (for that time) cities like Honolulu, I would additionally like to request a move in Infrastructure to Grade C. Thank you for taking the time to read."

Name of nation change?[]
Seeing as at least half of Belgium's territory in Europe has been taken, odds are the other half as well, and King Leopold II is now in the African colony of New Bruxelles, may I change the name of my nation from the Kingdom of Belgium to the Kingdom of New Bruxelles? Krystocat (talk) 02:00, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
- Approved. Just make sure to move your name to the Africa section. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 02:51, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
Repost of Hawaiian Upgrade Requests[]
Hello. I would like to request two grade upgrades. First, my upgrade to Grade D in Industry, as I have made many industrial efforts throughout my commonwealth: pineapple (more recently guava) plantations, sugarcane, fishing, metalworking, etc. Second, as I have been continuing to work on improving infrastructure for the past few years and modernizing (for that time) cities like Honolulu, I would additionally like to request a move in Infrastructure to Grade C. Thank you for taking the time to read. --Orange (→My wall!←) 04:23, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
Both approved, but just to be clear don't expect a better Grade for quite some time, unless you substantially expend your nation's size. Wrto12 (talk) 10:51, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
Grade upgrade for France[]
I believe, considering the downfall of the British and North Germany/Prussia, while also the increase of colonies/protectorates and prestige of France, that it should have a increase in the military and economical grade.
- In the military it has improved its numbers in manpower, ship numbers, while receiving defected naval officers from the UK; while the British lost most of its Empire and Prussia is yet losing another war. Even if France was not to improve grade, at least those should have it reduced.
- In the economical, France has increased greatly its Empire: Madagascar, Mexico, Quebec, Indochina; while the British almost lost it all. France has now many more raw producers and consumer markets. I believe France should have its grade increased, or the UK have it reduced.
Thank you for the attention, any response will be appreciated. Victor Molinaro(talk) 23:59, May 2, 2016 (UTC)
Approved. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 02:56, May 3, 2016 (UTC)
Toucouleur Empire request to Tier C[]
I have spent all my nation's effort into improving our infrastructure, economy, industry and military. While my military is in Tier C, my other areas are in tier D. For infrastructure, I have built roads and railroads across my nation along with building ports. For the economy, we used our vassal Liberia to export our three major economies Gold, Cotton and Iron allowing us to quickly take over the cotton markets while the Confederacy was at war and in ruin, Australia became divided, India declared it's independence and Egypt rebels. Gold is a new stimulus to the world market along with the Iron. For industry, we have local industries along with our gold and iron refineries and cotton-related industries.

Lack of mod responses[]
Hello there. I really like the game, and it was one of the reasons I returned to the wikia. However, it seems to be going off track. I would say most of it because I myself have not received ANY mod respose for events I requested the last turns I played (Although I wouldn't say it is someone fault. Most mods on the list aren't active as they ought to be); no algorithm seems to be made to some wars, but mod events; maps don't show the actual territories and haven't been updated. I love the time period of the game, and have enjoyed playing it so far. But now I don't feel myself as interested to play the game as I was when I joined. I'll try to keep playing, but I ask that the issues brought up here may be fixed, or at least a response to this message. (Also, should point out Texas isn't landlocked, so that wouldn't be the reason for it not support France in Africa, although it could still be implausible)
Thank you for the time, Victor Molinaro(talk) 20:15, May 5, 2016 (UTC)
I agree with this, as I haven't gotten mod responses when asked, and for the war my country (Belgium) was in, no one made an algorithm for it but I still lost nearly all my land anyways, with no input from why it happened. I enjoy the game too and will keep playing, but I just want more responses and better overlooking for mod events, as me losing Belgium was a mod event even though no algo was originally made, as I said before. And with the other issues above, I agree too. Krystocat (talk) 17:15, May 11, 2016 (UTC)
Treaty of Islamabad? Are you kidding...[]
Lol I'm not even playing but have you ever heard of plausibility? Afghan population was less than 10,000,000 in 1950, so I don't even want to think about 1875. There are a heck of a lot of Muslims in India, about 20% of the population, which based on current day population is 6 times more than the entire population of Afghanistan. Assuming population growth rates and religious demographics were even slightly similar, Afghanistan, with an army of 60,000, want to force India, the largest nation in the world, with the capability of fielding an army larger than your ENTIRE population put together, many times over, to give up a 1/5th of their land? Thats ridiculous! (Copy and pasted from talk page of the stupid treaty so everyone is aware) It doesn't matter how many terrorists or spies you have; you would be crushed. Yes the Taliban bested the Russians, but that wasn't in Russia, it was in their home nation, with local and international support, and to this day military tacticians wonder at the chances. - His Imperial Majesty, Lord of the Sky and Stars, Ruler of Rome, Emperor Romanus
Excuse me but even if a mod decides that somehow this is plausible, could I at least have an answer? I put this up nearly 3 days ago. I thought mods not replying was supposed to have been sorted... -His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Romanus (talk) 15:58, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
Bombing of Washington[]
Multiple countries left the war because washington was bombed while US congress was in session there. It should've been the other way around, because if US congress was in session on land that had been Confederate for 10 years, there would've been an outcry. Vatonica (talk) 11:16, May 7, 2016 (UTC)
- The Treaty of Harrisburg never came into effect (voided by the mods 3 to 2), and thus Washington DC was never occupied by the Confederacy to begin with. However, thank you for your feedback. — The Tim Man (TSW • AH • MGW • Contribs) 14:48, May 7, 2016 (UTC)
- Ask Wrto and Rex. They both said that Washington was mine from the original civil war, not the Second North American War. But thank you for asking them. Vatonica (talk) 10:38, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
