Salvage Nations?

So I was wondering if it would be okay to write an article about this: towns and encampments inhabited by scavengers like Boom Towns in the american west. I imagine they would be run by quickly-constructed companies who appoint security and administration, only to dissolve when the salvage runs out. They would probably last anywhere from one to twelve years, depending upon the amount of salvage. They would likely be important stopping points for caravans until their inevitable dissolution.

Hi, I have a few things I want to ask and a few things I want to have considered.

1. What year is the current TL in. I know it's the 90's, but I want to be accurate. 2. Should we make a list of people who survive ITTL? For example, what is John Lennon doing ITTL? 3. Does immigration still happen in this world. Example, could say John Lennon immigrate to America? 4. How many nations can I create? 5. How badly is the planet damaged?

I made a page about Libya, I am also wokring on a page for Saudi Arabia but I need to know what nuclear bomb were drope don Riyhad,Mecca,Mednia,Tabuk,and Amman (Yes. I know Amman is in Jordan)
