Greetings,

I am happy to see that you have such interest, in the history of Colombia, that you work to create a detailed walkthrough of the period and presidents of the country. But, regarding Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, he never was president, he was killed in Bogota, the event is known as the "Bogotazo" and it was a critical point in the history of Colombia, because it marked the begining of the opression, mainly towards disidents of the political elites, and also, therefore, the creation of the modern guerrillas of Colombia.

Thanks for your time.

This site is dedicated to Alternate History. In this particular timeline Jorge Eliécer Gaitán has a different fate. I hope that helps to clear up confusion. Thanks, Mscoree (talk) 17:49, May 29, 2014 (UTC)

His English is good, but his knowledge is narrow. "Poor" anon. FirstStooge (talk) 22:13, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
