This sounds interesting. Without Russia, i believe that Socialist revolution could succeed in the west. It is just a suggestion but a common cliche of Russia WWI threads is that communism never appears anywhere.

My personal opinion is that socialism would probably be common, but, at the same time, less centralized. There'd be multiple variations of socialism, along a whole continuum from nearly total socialism to moderated capitalism and everything in between. It would, however, not be a central element in any kind of Cold War, if any such phenomenon occured at all. -- Nik 18:08, 17 Jul 2005 (UTC)
