I created this article mainly to explain the massive gap between Chumash, and Santa Cruz. Riley.Konner 16:34, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough. The gap appears to be about 70 miles of wilderness "ruled" by a handful of towns with Salinas being the largest. The crime rate in Salinas in 1985 was 0.7% of the population being effected by violent crime. That has increased dramatically in recent times as gangs have increased their presense. It seems to be only a little less violent than Santa Cruz. SouthWriter 17:57, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
