Some of this doesn't fit if the data on Slough in the either UK articles is canon. Also this article mentions High Wycombe as being extant. Based on where certain bunkers were in 1983, I find the survival of High Wycombe unlikely.

I have an idea that may need fleshing out. Nicholas Winton. He leads the humanitarian work, his search teams start exploration that take in near by Datchet and Taplow during 1985. He becomes a New London government aid and died in his sleep on the morning of 1 July, 2011, in his Windsor home from cardio-respiratory failure, having been admitted a month earlier following a deterioration in his health.
