So basically this article is claiming whatever hasn't been claimed in other articles (save for the other USA article), leaving zero space for creations in the US. kden.

Not exactly. This article is just the OTL United States government attempting to retain control over its territory. I was thinking that at first it will control much of the south and east coast, but eventually dwindle to just Maryland and Virginia, before maybe even collapsing. I might have them do something similar to the US in 1983, how they eventually just decided to disband. In that case it would probably make more sense if the US government evacuated, or they didn't have some chance of surviving, so instead they will probably break into a few different states. I'm trying to think of a plausible way to have them collapse, in the name of more room for other articles, but I'm not sure what to do. Personally I think they should live. They have the strongest military, largest population, and one of the best agricultural centers in North America so far. At least let them keep the areas in dark blue. Maybe the states become wary of the civil war and withdraw from the union, since they can't provide food for the nation. I'll have to look into what states could actually sustain themselves. Mscoree (talk) 14:52, November 8, 2013 (UTC)
That's the problem; why would any state that isn't self sufficient (especially those in the south) withdraw from the union? Perhaps if they could acquire foreign assistance for food production/importation, they could essentially become self-sustaining, especially with a smaller population to take care of. Seems alright. Basic food supplies could be obtained, but some resources like oil would be harder to get.
I have objections.
One sec, let me find them.
I would be ok with a Stubgrad. But not a full grad. It isn't enough yet.
A number of these battleships were stationed in the Pacific and were likely unable to reach the Provisional US.04:07, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
A number of them were stationed in California. I'm just saying that the Pacific Fleet would either desert or be stranded on the other side of the country.22:10, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah I see what you're saying. I know for a fact that the Yorktown-class and some of the other newer aircraft carriers were on the east coast, but I didn't really look into the battleships yet. Mscoree (talk) 23:02, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
