Here are a few short ideas for the Confederation of Canadian States Article.

As for actual functions, I would see the C.C.S. having three main priorities (In no particular order).

1. Promoting trade and political cooperation among members through a shared economic policy

(Such as Quebec having its dollar pegged to the Canadian dollar.)

2. The protection and promotion of unique aboriginal/Canadian cultures.

3. The protection of the environment, especially the protection of the Arctic regions, the Great Lakes, etc.

Additional Notes

1. Offices for the C.C.S. are presumably located in all members’ capitals, but the organization’s main headquarters would probably be in Toronto, due to it being the C.C.S.’S largest metropolitan area, thus being the C.C.S.’s economic and cultural capital.

2. The official languages of the C.C.S. would probably be English, French, and the various Aboriginal languages. Still, English and French would probably be the main languages of actual discussion in C.C.S. meetings.

3. In terms of economics/immigration, C.C.S. members should probably function along the lines of the E.U. with minor differences.

4. The C.C.S. would probably also have various environmental treaties. Here are two examples which I’m sure you could come up with more creative names.

i) “The Great Lakes Treaty”-A treaty that would promote the strict protection of the Great Lakes. The signers of the treaty would presumably be the C.C.S., New England, Iroquois, Anishinaabe, and Sioux.

ii) “The Arctic Ocean Treaty”- Would promote the strict protection of the Arctic Ocean. The signers of the treaty would presumably be the C.C.S., Pacifica, Russia, the various Scandinavian nations, and the various Northern Asian nations that border the Arctic.

On a final C.C.S. related note, I know there won’t be many new additions if at all, but I do see the C.C.S. having two additional members.

1) Greenland- Even if you don’t have Greenland colonized by Denmark, the native cultural (which is similar to that of Nunavut) will beg for independence sooner or later. What I imagine is Greenland gaining Independence from Demark in 1999 after noticing the success of the other Arctic Aboriginal nations of Canada. Because of the benefits that the C.C.S. offers, Greenland applies for membership after independence. Finally, in early 2000, Greenland becomes the seventh member of the C.C.S.

2) Iroquois- While I don’t see Iroquois becoming a full member, I do see it becoming an associate member who would be the closest trading partner to the C.C.S. After all, Iroquois succession from NE was presumably inspired by Quebec succession. The Iroquois would also presumably want to take advantage of the cultural protection that the C.C.S. offers.

I hope you're able to make good use out of this mess of ideas. I also wanted to say how cool it was of you to use my Quebec suggestions. Still, I love some of your additionals to it such as the use of the Canadian Supreme Court, and the Dual Flag description. It was great!
