I like the way you've outlined some of the pop culture changes. I think that's a side of althists that's often missed. I'm curious, however, as a devoted Trekkie, how you explain the changes to that show. I'm not criticising, just curious. Is it to do with a more refined attitude in the United States and thus the show has less of an appeal to escapists or utopians? What about TNG and Voyager? What, I ask, what? Sorry. Got carried away there. Cprhodesact 12:00, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Along similar lines, V for Vendeta was critisised by some as having deviated from the source material to make it more a critique of modern day USA then of Tatcher-era UK. Maybe the movie made *there* was more faithful to the source.--Marcpasquin 16:09, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I like this one. It was an interesting read, and it doesn't deviate too much from what could have really happened, so it's very believable. Also, it's current, so it can be appreciated by those living through current history. Like Cprhodesact, I thought that the pop culture changes were a nice touch. --Riction 13:56, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I looked this page up because I was thinking not too long ago about what might have happened if he had been not assassinated but elected, and it turns out I had some of the same ideas: 12th child, no Chappaquiddick incident, David doesn't die of OD...cool! 173.17.26.178 02:11, April 14, 2011 (UTC)

No Ted/Joan Kennedy Divorce?[]

Just curious, in 1982, Ted and Joan Kennedy divorced. A freshly divorced, especially single politician elected President is unlikely. Or do you postulate they stayed together for the Presidency?

Adoption[]

Hey, this is a very interesting concept to me, and I haven't seen you do much with it for a while. If you don't mind, can I adopt this ATL?--YNot1989 05:26, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

EV's more popular during a Kennedy admin. ?[]

Could you add something about Electric cars (most notibly, the EV1)?

Maybe something about an EV automotive X prize in the early to mid 90's or something.

Or perhaps even the Electric car becoming popular as far back as in the 70's or 80's because of the oil crisis. (Zootv1991 21:02, November 14, 2010 (UTC))
