Puerto Rico[]
Note that Puerto Rico was hit too, on a base.
Looks good otherwise.

Thank you, I hadn't noticed that in my read-over. Added the Puerto Rico hit under the Wider Carribean part of history. Any other concerns from anyone? Regentage 03:52, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
Continuing Work[]
I'm going to expand on the history, bringing it a few more years forward. Nothing radical will happen, just the island strengthening its position and shaking off the dregs of Doomsday. A few key points:
The completion of the shale burning plant in 1990.[Implemented, objections? Regentage 01:08, February 29, 2012 (UTC)]The construction of a naval base at Gros Islet.[Implemented. Regentage (talk) 14:38, August 6, 2013 (UTC)]The opening of a public hospital in Castries.[Implemented. Regentage (talk) 14:52, August 6, 2013 (UTC)]The opening of a university in Castries.[Implemented. Regentage (talk) 15:00, August 6, 2013 (UTC)]The release of Grenada from Federation control, at socialist urging.[Also done, objections? Regentage 16:37, February 29, 2012 (UTC)]
Problems? Regentage 16:27, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
Considering the populations of the member states, it makes no sense at all that Grenada could manage that. The ECF members in these articles - which wouldn't be all of the members in 1992, either - have 17-18 times the population of Grenada, more industry, etc., and there's not really anywhere on those islands a group of rebels could actually base itself to survive.
I'm aware that it's not part of the ECF, but the thought that there would be any rebels, let alone enough to actually force the ECF peacekeepers out, just makes no sense.
Lordganon 18:39, February 29, 2012 (UTC)
Hmm. Perhaps you're right. I would think, though, that socialist nations, both near and far, would be supporting Grenada. It has a strategic position in the Caribbean, where socialist nations are in a bit of a short supply. Perhaps a diplomatic stand-off, rather than military, would be more appropriate? Regentage 18:57, February 29, 2012 (UTC)
The world in 1992 atl, not even. All of those in the region are fighting large civil unrest or recovering from nukes. The only other ones are in Siberia and East Africa, and they're not in any position, either, to do anything.
Basically, they can "support" them all they want, but..... there's nothing they can do about it, at all.
Some sort of slight socialist government, ala~ a protectorate, of the ECF, with peacekeepers, is probably the most likely result in my mind. Call it a better-off Haiti in that regard, given ECF movements there.

Storms[]
Continuing work on St. Lucia. The island was hit with the following storms, according to my research :
Hurricane Klaus (1990)Tropical Storm Debby (1994)Tropical Storm Jerry (2001)Hurricane Ivan (2004)- Hurricane Dean (2007)
- Hurricane Tomas (Late 2010)
- Hurricane Ernesto (2012)
Will be writing these into the history. Objections? Regentage (talk) 21:19, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
Hurricane Klaus has been added. Regentage (talk) 17:32, July 25, 2013 (UTC)
Updated further, to 2004. Regentage (talk) 15:00, August 6, 2013 (UTC)
Map Update[]
I made a better map for St. Lucia, better displaying the position of the island in relation to nearby geography. Objections to updating the map with the new image? Regentage (talk) 14:58, July 25, 2013 (UTC)
Reg, it's your article, and your map. Do whatever you want. Lordganon (talk) 13:37, July 27, 2013 (UTC)
Industry[]
I have plans to work in geothermal energy and pumice mining as developing industries in the 2000s. Objections? Both of these resources are readily available on St. Lucia. Regentage (talk) 18:38, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
None to the ideas, but they can probably only do one of the two at a time. Lordganon (talk) 11:11, August 4, 2013 (UTC)
That is true enough. Geothermal energy it is then. Regentage (talk) 19:46, August 5, 2013 (UTC)
