Maybe you could add something about Stalin moving away from the ideas of "Socialism in One Nation" over to "Permanent/World Revolution"? Perhaps he realizes that since Russia isn't completely self-sufficient that they can't really achieve a properly communist state, and that the Warsaw Pact & other communist nations begin a "World Revolution"? For example he could force other communist nations into the USSR and to continue to expand the USSR? Just an idea... VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 19:55, November 29, 2011 (UTC).

American Trump Card

This is all well and good, but why don't the Americans use the nuclear bomb, which they have a monopoly on, during the Soviet invasion? Azecreth 15:21, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

The americans aren't dictators. They didn't want to kill millions of people. ^.^ Doctor261 (Talk to Doctor261) 05:31, May 12, 2012 (UTC)

From my understanding, western nations in their plans such as Operation Unthinkable, were ready to use atomic warfare in Eastern Europe, but in the fall of 1945, there were not enough bombs to stop the Soviet advance.
