And that was in 1984. No way any of this is possible. Lordganon 05:33, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, but I hate to just obsolete the article. The article works as a former nation peice if Pita is willing to write it that way. Mitro 13:05, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Okay guys I didn't know that there already was one for Uruguay so I'll change it to former nations one. 126.96.36.199 16:13, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
Utterly unrealistic and borderline ASB
It makes several mistakes perhaps due to no previous research. On 26 December 1983, Uruguay had a military dictatorship, under the Presidency of Gregorio Conrado Álvarez. So it seems difficult a situation of emerging chaos and disorder has it is proposed post Doomsday. Perhaps it would mark a new wave of political repression.
For this, and I quote A fictional General Jose Artigas (He took on the name, original name unknown), and declared martial law. He declared himself the Protector... , just one word summarizes it, ¡¡¡ASB!!!. Just too Banana Republic, and unrealistic given the political history and culture of Uruguay.
Of importance is that Uruguay has trade links with Brazil and Argentina, so it more dependent in those two nations then Europe or US.
A better work around would be the steps to establish civil government and creation of the United American Republic. --JorgeGG 18:40, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
- It's true that some of the very earliest material had a few more of those murciélagos espaciales flying around than we tolerate today. This is definitely one example of that. Go ahead and see what you can do with the story, accounting for the culture and history of Argentina and Uruguay. You can tag it with template: ddreview and we can all discuss it. - Sorry. This was my first 1983: DD article, so I had no experience whatsoever. You can delete it, if you want, I really kind of abandoned it and went after Seoul . By the way, what do you guys think of the Seoul article? PitaKang- (Talk|Contribs) 20:40, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
I adopt it
I asked to Pita for the article, and he gave to me permission to adopt it. :) I will work in the article from this week. First, i removed the contradictions. Regards! --Katholico 03:37, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
