Latest revision as of 04:58, 21 July 2021

As planned by Me and Oer, this page is going to be a new proposal which will hopefully be better suited to the DDverse compared to Caer's proposals.

--1 Imp (Say Hi?!) 13:32, August 24, 2014 (UTC)

Much as I like the basic content of Caer's proposals, past time someone else gave a shot at it. Would have preferred you tried to get the other articles, mind, and just fix them. Lordganon (talk) 15:32, August 25, 2014 (UTC)

Personally I feel that a blank scale would be better. I wouldn't want to wipe out all of Caer's work so if this article ends up grad'ing then his proposals can be labelled obsolete. 1 Imp (Say Hi?!) 00:52, September 22, 2014 (UTC)

Fair enough. So long as the political divisions get recognized and dealt with. Lordganon (talk) 11:25, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Sure, I guess.

On a different note, the flag of Zimbabwe doesn't really seem to connect with me as to what happens in this reality. I might look into some alternates and see at what period of time the flag could be changed. 1 Imp (Say Hi?!) 10:27, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

Not a bad idea. Lordganon (talk) 18:34, January 17, 2015 (UTC)

Ok good. While I have your attention, I would like to discuss Zimbabwe and expansion.

So we know that Mozambique is semi-canon at best and so it can be fitted around more canon stuff. Now Zimbabwe is actually one of the more stable nations in Africa post-DD, and thus I was wondering if the nation would inb the 90s use the chaos of Mozambique to expand out to the sea? Of course the ethnicity of the peoples living there will have to be looked at - to see which peoples would want unficiation with Zimbabwe the most. But could it work? 1 Imp (Say Hi?!) 12:36, January 20, 2015 (UTC)

The "semi-canon" parts are gone. It's canon.

Zimbabwe isn't going to be much better than Mozambique. Certainly not stronger to the point where they could do that, or even expand into its lands at all.

Remember, the nations around Zimbabwe, as a whole, remained intact.

This article needs updating. If it has been a abandoned I may consider adopting it. I made the article on Malawi and Zambia. And with Zimbabwe i would have  all three former members of the federation of Zimbabwe and Rhodesia. ~Goldwind

So far I like the content of the page, I also like the fact that here Mugabe is changed, due to the nuclear war, and that thanks to its infrastructure is one of the most prosperous states of Africa. Also I would suggest to add more diversity on the democratic scene with more parties and the establishment of new relations. Mal3ssio97 01:18, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Cheers for the feedback Mal. I agree that I probably will need to flesh out the political scene more. Impishly yours, Imp (Say Hi?!) 20:56, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Robert Mugabe died in 2019 otl. Due to lack of access to high quality healthcare he may have died earlier. The Zimabaw page should probably be updated to say that Mugabe is not prime minister. I would recommend Nelson Chamisa as prime minsterGoldwind1 (talk) 11:50, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Gold. So yes, Mugabe is currently leader, currently being 1995. This will likely be his last term as Prime Minister before he steps down to play the role of elder statesman, and pursues personal projects in the field of education and cricket. Someone else will definitely replace him, so we will have someone else as leader in the present day. Impishly yours, Imp (Say Hi?!) 20:40, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Does anybody like the idea of Nelson Chamisa becoming president ~Gold

I'll look into it. Impishly yours, Imp (Say Hi?!) 21:16, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
